Nandu ke tears toh oh boy...melt you on the spot...no one ever looked so innocently heartbreaking while crying as this kiddo.

@bold: LMFAO😆...but I loveee that hug...haha the raw desperation in it...and just the way he had her half dipped back and tucked into his chest...for whatever reason...momentum, flow of the scene...lol but it really added to the visual...that's like one of my fav. hugs of theirs...baad mein we never got to see a hug like that...or twirl hug...two things I kept on whining for and never got...chalo Jeena Jeena hi mil gaya😆

LOOOL yes the crying ruined it and he did look constipated but yeh otherwise it was really good.
I know right you just want to go hug her.

Haha don't get me wrong I absolutely loved that hug, one of favs as well. In fact at times I struggle to select fav scenes because we have been spoiled so much with such high number of amazing scenes. No other show could ever say that they have numerous quality scenes like MaNan but yes getting back to the hug his desperation was spot on the force and everything was bang on. But it's just the way he had to spread his legs and Niti's neck was all forced back ahaha that you can't help but laugh at the way it was executed. 😆😆

He was just so desperate for her. She was the only thing he has ever selfishly longed for . All he needed was to know ki come what may, she wants only him..bas pagal idiot. Even then too , i am sure he would have fought hard to be worthy for her.
Oh yeah, he even send someone to fetch Dhruv coz he was worried Dhruv be spending way too much time.

Uska sab kuch be that little tiny girl . bas. Haha, his whole world be here.

Hospital , blabbering shit..about rules..how she doesn't listen to him..and that little happiness at recognizing the love. The way he just wanted to kiss her and the softness with which he handled her. Sigh.

Musicana- Shadow scene. One of my fav scenes. And then the one where she cleans up his face.
Or even the hospital ones. Sigh..every bit was love.

Kids.

Sru 🤗

This...so much.

Matlab that is the thing...it wasn't even just about him trying to be mahaan...yes, her tears were killing him and he was desperate to take away the hurt in any way...in so much as he even tried to bring her spunk out again by helping direct the hurt into anger...but more than all of this, it was plain and simple NEED...the fact that he just needed to be around her, hold her, have some form of connection with her...that is where the writing and acting wins...that delicate balance so well executed...which is why we still gush to this day.

*Edit: Oh and totally YES to the fact that mixed in with all his silly attempts at sacrifice, the fact that he still wanted her to look past it all and pick him...still hopelessly wanted to be worthy of her despite all he said...writing win👏😆

His entire world samaaoed inside that tiny little girl...marvel hi toh tha😆...he was totally helpless in the face of his need for her...and she for him...like we've discussed many times...the EQUALITY they showed in the treatment of that yearning from both sides...never skewing it...that is what makes them special.

I wove the hospital blabbering scene...lol even though it was shot seperately with BDs...but Manik so shaken, so raw over almost having lost her...trying to find his balance again by being grumpy dictator Manik...when he also knew he was putty in her hands...phir bhi bechara tried😆

The way he holds her face when he's trying to wake her up at the hospital...epitome of tenderness❤️

Remember when she be crying to him and telling him how she be so mad at him. She breaks down and all this , boy, cared was , ki chalu ..she feels something. 😆
I have dicussed it with Box alot ki this need and yearning to be around each other all the time wasn't a bad thing for them. Simply because at the end, they just were too content with each other, family the bas..they were one of those rare pair, who would have used their togetherness to shine on or grow. You literally see two kids grow up man.
Actually , him telling her to be angry reminds me of during the PTSD time, when she beats him with stick and he is like, "isn't being angry better than being sad" or something. Cute.

Remember when he came to know she has said no to Dhruv, all he wanted to know why she declined Dhruv ka thing when the latter be a good boy and she will smile at Dhruv. And his 99 flowers...sab..he just was so insecure about being worthy. Yet , when mattered, he will push Dhruv away..like ..telling Dhruv to eff off..and he pulled Nandu from that hug when his girl be crying in the jungle.

Mutual. Always so bloody mutual. She will react and reach out to him. He would listen, be her sounding board and she just was different with him. She needed him as much as he needed her. Both hopeless.

Grumpy him is so cute. He is like a little baby.

Awww I love that scene man..it's so cute. When he is just hovering over her face.😆

Very good point!

And that sort of added to the feeling of what a unit these two have always been...whatever one feels, flows into the other until the emotion becomes one...his pain is just as much her pain and vice versa...you feel it all acutely.

That transition point when she sort of soaks in his tears and pains as he finally lets her and relaxes into her arms, drawing strength from her...it's a dual transition...both their emotions come across...her pain for what he's going through and him finally relaxing as if he's found home in her arms and he knows he's safe. Great expressions from them there.

@Jiya- Oh yeah, the transition. She linked it up with his anger and the hope and his reactions. He knew she was being so silly and cute. But that was Nandu..and the anger issues of Manik there. I loved when he said, anger is not allowed in what they shared. The wrong, that he realized on his own.
You actually see how Manik and Nandini saw things differently but they gave each other the space to talk about it, learn from each other. Respect , so bloody mutual.

Actually , him telling her to be angry reminds me of during the PTSD time, when she beats him with stick and he is like, "isn't being angry better than being sad" or something. Cute. Exactly...that PTSD track waali line just reinforced what Manik had already tried once before...he's always happier having her fight with him than to see her sad and crying...he just tried a not so Monster approach during PTSD time, is all😆

I also don't think their need for each other was a bad thing cuz of the way the show handled it...it's such a fine balance and you can easily go overboard when you are showing such an intense bond...but the writing and PaNi walked that fine line just right...their need for each other didn't hamper them, rather they only grew from strength to strength as that very bond helped them tackle all kinds of things together and evolve both as individuals as well as as a couple.

Remember when he came to know she has said no to Dhruv, all he wanted to know why she declined Dhruv ka thing when the latter be a good boy and she will smile at Dhruv. Yet , when mattered, he will push Dhruv away..like ..telling Dhruv to eff off..and he pulled Nandu from that hug when his girl be crying in the jungle. LOL Manik ka sacrifice was a joke from the get go...for all his mahaan speeches about Dhruv ka 99 flowers wala proposal, he couldn't stand Dhruv being around Nandu for a second😆...remember his dream about Nandu on Dhruv's bike and how he panicked?😆

So ofcourse he wasn't going to stand it for a second when he saw Dhruv hugging Nandu...suddenly the futility and dumbness of his sacrifice got real and Manik was like screw this...back away from my girl😆

Grumpy him is so cute. He is like a little baby. Little nahin GIANT baby, Genie😆

Man, do you ever find that in most stories today? Desi or Videsi? Hardly

His sacrifice was such a joke man. Haasi aati hai..what was that dream though. And remember after that butt-freeze wala dance he goes outside and tells nandu , "why was she dancing so happily with Dhruv" and tells her to go away , as the party be for feb5 . The childishness there and Nandu's gussa and challenge there..his frustration ki, she never listens to him- that grumpiness stayed always.
i loved when she is so tired, shattered by the long night and breaks down and reminiscences about it.He comes there, checks on her and then offers her the break-time. I mean, wahi, that sacrifice be null and void, the slight touch of their hands and the way he is worried about her . Your heart just goes aww. And Nandu bhi, this guy did shit to her, phir bhi worried for his hand and being annoyed at Nurse\s drooling. Kya sample hai.

Gaint baby ki tiny doll. bas. Haha.

@AY - None. Consistently these two had that respect and communication. Kuch bhi kar lo that connect and awareness about each other was so strong. No wonder the villains were redundant coz they just never mattered. Their conflicts were about handling each other and improving their relationship. Bas.

So so true. They both learnt a lot from each other. Manik tou waise bhi would blab exactly what she would tell him to his friends lool. 😆 I can't help but chuckle at those scenes, such an baby he was.

Most importantly he learnt that there doesn't need to be give and take in relationships and that there is unconditional love which she showered him with. He also learnt that he needs to think about himself as well and live his own life. Whereas she learnt that the people in this world aren't always what they appear to be for example, Manik, Harshad and Pandit.

Which is like the most important life lesson in any relationship...imagine these teenage college kids were the ones tackling it instead of more mature characters waali lowe stories😆

Man, now I wanna marathon Musicana night epis badly...full epi links (in good quality preferably) anyone?
