Thank you, Oishu😆

I sometimes think I'm the lone person here who likes these rare times they get to do some emotional content...lol...like I love their cutesiness in general too but emotional content brings depth...yet sadly that gets lost in all the chaotic ranting😆

Also that Manik seemed to care a lot more about Dhruv than Dhruv did for Manik... Basically, just that viewers liked Cabir more than Dhruv and hence the "harping on" and the wish to get a Cabir-closure rather than a Manik/Dhruv scene.

Bold - That doesn't come across in WU. So. 😛

LOL I wasn't speaking of your specific take on the epi...it just seems to be the general reaction...and I don't know if those ppl are speaking from WUs alone or have actually watched the scene😆

See I personally am talking about this from the storyline perspective...not from my own specific like/dislike for Dhruv or Cabir...I am hardly a Dhruv/Uttu ki "acting" fan...but that doesn't change the fact that Manik has loved Dhruv like a little brother and always been torn up over him...the show has reinforced that time and again in many tracks regardless of how much of a D-bag Dhruv became at one point...so speaking to that basic storyline, yesterday's scene was on point and the rest was all sold by PaNi's acting...it worked for me.

Cabir is gone...we are expected to buy that Manik is coping with that on his own and Dhruv's loss is only adding to him losing his sense of balance...execution worked yesterday I felt.

i agree and i know how that feels, coz i've been feeling the exact same thing... its kinda confusing, this mixup of feelings behind our chaotic ranting 😆

but it seems the new cv has her brains and her heart in the right place. Here, seems is the word though. Cant be sure yet. 😛😆

@Oishu: LOL yes any MaNan fan by this point has been turned bipolar anyways😆
For me personally, when I can get the sense that a scene has genuine heart in it, both in terms of acting and execution, I can connect to it...and yesterday's scene had heart in it...the actors put that in and it deserved due credit I felt cuz they've had to do similar breakdowns many times before but still they brought out the pain and hurt...and that can't have been easy.

Breaking down for cabir that moment has been long gone and while we can rant all about it its gone now doing anything might seem random only. What they did well yesterday was show it properly how first cabir and now dhruv its all affecting manik and dhruv will always have a special place in his life while the moment for cabir is lost the new team is atleast trying here rather then random stuff atleast some meaning somewhere you can see it rather then having to make it up in our heads.

] Cabir's loss didn't warrant a more emotional fallout/reaction but since that story is anyways been rendered pointless by the mess of season 1 end, why are ppl still harping on that is beyond me[LOLInstead it seems most ppl want to run down the scene simply cuz Manik didn't cry this much for Cabir😆[/D

Anu, i loved it yesterday, PaNi were fantabulous. Manik's breakdown i get it... Everything was good, its just dt i wanted a proper breakdown scene for MaNanBir. I blame d CVS for dt... I hv no complaints from d actors...

This.

I can appreciate the genuine effort they put in to write/enact and execute something cohesively rather than random cutesiness...and as I said, emotional content is so rarely allowed to play out for MaNan that I appreciated them showing some yesterday giving space for it to play out rather than rushing through it.

There were so many noteworthy emotional bits...like the way Manik spoke about him and Dhruv as kids, his hurt and anger over how Dhruv could do something like this, him talking about their history, and finally breaking down saying that if only Dhruv would come back, he'd hug him... it all flowed together.

exactly!

@bold, that is what was the main root of the irritation of us manan, or rather i should say, every ky2-ian. specially the ones who have followed the show from the beginning or the initial episodes.. the utter randomness of the scenes. putting up scenes just for the heck of with, and scenes without any sarr-pair...

as shibz had mentioned earlier in one of her posts, the build-up and the follow-up is what makes a scene not only believable but convincing.

I loved yesterday's episode and probably why I am here.
Dhruv left the band , left them without informing. For someone like Manik and infact Nandini who go bonkers about the people they care , i would be amazed if they don't react or cry out for their loved ones, even if they are hurt zillion times. This is that Manik who still lived with mother, never could cut the cord with her even though she hurt him again and again.

But Dhruv is different. He might not be his buddy but he was the brother, the obsession, guilt -Manik's life for good part of his existence. Manik's family. One person who taught Manik the meaning of selflessness. I have cribbed alot about Manik's dependency on Dhruv but I get it. He is family , the one Manik will never be able to cut and Nandu of all the people gets it because she is the same person.

This intensifies more now because Cabir has died, Manik is bound to be more protective, paranoid and closer to Dhruv. The guilt of letting down another friend after Cabir. Another sadness, feeling of emptiness. I get it.

It was sad because for once there is Manik without any Cabir , without his buddy Dhruv. He might smile again but it is sad.

What elevated it for me was they made Nandini react to something as well. I hear the sneers about how her life is all about Manik which is hilarious because these two are about each other. By tangible we mean - giving a chance to make Nandu react to other things, like Dhruv. Her flashbacks , her tears - yes thank you for finally making her talk about her feelings. By individuality we don't want a 18 year old to ditch school and be this prodigy rockstar but someone who has independent thoughts.

In the end, they both need to let it go, yet they will always grieve , mourn but they will eventually make peace.

Credit to PaNi for still selling it.

I also need to mention writers did a good job mixing the dlgs , taking ManRuv back to childhood and how Manik was both angry and sad. His yearning for family- the one who stayed with him has to be strong.

Nandini never gives up- hence Manik fell in love.
Manik never gives up-hence she loved him back.

Thats MaNan.

Wow, things I do for the one I adore. . Hmmm. #sedlyf
