Well, some of you know me as the author of ROYAL BUT DISLOYAL FATE. If not, then please read that too :p .. It's an one more ongoing ff of mine. Now coming to this story, here's the prolouge. I really hope that you will like it. Please comment and let me know that should I continue this or not.
PROLOUGE:
I was shocked at my sudden realisation. All the pieces were falling into place now. Only one person could be behind all this, yes it's HIM. But why he did all this? This was the one question that was troubling me now. I have to ask him. Yes I have to meet him. But where? Shitt! I don't have even his number or address. Wait! Something clicked in my mind.
'Well yes am part of a band but I own a jewellery designing store too named Crystal.'
I remembered his words. I took out my phone and searched for Crystal and too my surprise it was on the top most searches. I got out of the hospital, sat in my car and drove off for Crystal. It was a half an hour journey but because of my speed, it got reduced to twenty minutes only.
I got down from my car and was shocked to see a well build huge white building in front of me. Crystal was written over it very beautifully. I thought this man owned a designing house but boss it seems as if it is a famous designing label here. Well, this is the disadvantage of not living in your motherland. You don't have any idea about your own country. But this was not the time to think of all this. I had to ask that bloody man that who he is and why he did all this to me and my family.
I stormed to the reception and asked, sorry actually ordered, "Where is MR. MANIK MALHOTRA?"
"Maam may I know your name?", the receptionist asked me meekly.
I rolled my eyes in frustration, "NANDANI DEEWAN! Kya ab tum mujhe bataogi ki kahan hai Manik?"
"Maam he's in conference room and an important meeting is going on. You can wait in the waiting room. I will.."
I didn't let her complete and asked furiously, "Where is the conference room?"
"But Maam.."
"I asked where is that bloody conference room!"
That poor receptionist got scared with my tone and helplessly signalled Me the way towards that conference room. Without wasting time I rushed to that direction and stormed into the conference room.
I could see many people were sitting there and I could sense that they were talking on a very serious issue but now everyone's attention was on me. But my eyes were finding someone else. Oh there he is.. There was a shocked expression on his face seeing an intruder in his conference room but that shock changed into a smirk seeing that it was me.
"I want to talk to you right now.", I said looking into his eyes obviously with anger.
He composed himself and stood up from his seat, "Well I hope that your senses are in order and you can see that I am in an important meeting so just get out of there."
What does he think of himself? I think he's forgetting that he's talking to Nandani Dewaan. I moved inside the conference room and came in front of him, "If you think that I will just get out of here obeying you and that too after what you have done, then you are highly mistaken Mr. Manik Malhotra."
He looked other side and knowing my stubbornness or maybe he didn't wanna create any scene he requested everyone to go out and ask them to take a break as they will continue their so called meeting after awhile.
After everyone went out of the conference room, he said, "Well, I was expecting you but I didn't know you will be this quick." His tone and body language gave me an unknown vibe. It's been a month since I know this man. But now his tone was reflecting a completely different person.
"Kyu kiya tumne yeh sab? What the hell do you want??", I literally shouted at him and don't know why but my eyes become moist, I don't know why because of his betrayal or my family's condition.
He leaned towards me and rubbed my tear which just came out of my eye and looked at me seriously, "Get hold of yourself Nandani. It's just a start.. Abhi toh bahut kuch sehna hai tumhe..". Those chocolate brown eyes which I loved to stare at, now there was an unknown hatred for me in them. But why? I should be the one hating him.
"Kya chahiye tumhe? Kyu kiya tumne yeh sab? For money?"
Manik just rolled his eyes, "Tumhe mujhe dekh ke lagta hai Ki mujhe paison Ki zarurat hai.. (He leaned towards me) Aur agar kabhi hogi bhi na tbh bhi tumhare dad ke paise kbhi ni lunga me..". My eyes widened. He was right that he didn't need any money. But why he said that about my dad.
"Kya dushmani hai tumhari mere dad se?", I asked him holding his collar.
He smiled faintly and then strictly said freeing his collar from my hand which was not that difficult for him, "I think you should be more concerned about your family right now rather than asking me these stupid questions."
I moved aside. Now my back was facing him.
"You know what! Sari galti meri hai that I trusted you.. Trusted you blindly.. Kya the tum mere liye? Just a stranger.. But still don't know why I trusted you.. And now I am getting the punishment for trusting the wrong person. Because of me, Dad is in hospital.. Because of me meri family Ki yeh halat hai.. It's all my fault..". Now, I was on the verge of crying but I composed myself.
He came near me, "Yes, you are right.. It's your fault.. But it's better to think for the solution instead of weeping.. And you can set everything right."
"What do you mean?", my back was still facing him.
He brought his face near my ear and whispered, "Marry Me!"
