Navya and Nandini were descending down the stairs. Navya noticed Nandini's hair is open. So asked her " Nandini...ek baat tou batao...jab tum apne room mein gayi thi tou tumhare baal baandhe hue the...in a hair bun...phir Kya hua...ache lag rahe thei...tumne kyun khole..."
" woh Navya mujhe... Aadat Nahi hai na... It was so uncomfortable and it was bothered me... So Maine khol diya". Nandini said.
" it was bothering you or somebody else...haan...bolo bolo..." Said Navya And she starts tickling her...and both of them started giggling.
"Nai Navya aisi koi baat Nahi hai.." Nandini tries to clarify again...but cutting her off, Navya said " hum sab Jante hain...tumhe clarifications dene ki zarurath Nahi hai "
" but I'm so happy for you... Pata hai aaj humne tumko Kafi time ke baad dil se hanste hue dekha...issi tarha hasti raho..hum tumhare liye bahut khush hai..." Saying this she gave a very warm hug to Nandini.
Nandini smiled again.
" Nandini...you know jeejaji bahut ache hain...hum dekh rahe thei...woh tumhara kitna khayaal rakh rahe thei "she paused and " tum bahut lucky ho ki tumhe itna care karne waala LIFE-PARTNER mil raha hai.." She said.
The convesation and bonding in between these two girls is witnessed by none other than Manik Malhotra who was standing at the top of the stairs smiling at them.
Nandini and Navya went out of the house. There was one more person who was watching this whole scene and it was Cabir. He smiled seeing Manik so happy. He saw Manik coming down the stairs and went near him and,
" wah mere Romeo...abhi se itne possessive and itne protective... Kya baat hai...Kya baat hai.."
" matlab...tu kis baare mein baat kar raha hai... Main Nahi Jaanta.." Manik said even though he knew what Cabir was talking about.. He ignored it..
"Matlab...Nandini upar gayi thi Baal baandhe hue thei... Neech aayi Baal khule hue thei...matlab sahi jaa raha hai bro... Keep it up" Cabir said giving Manik two three sold taps on his back.
" acha yeh sab chod chal Bahar chalte hain mujhe bhook lagi hai... Kuch khate hain"
Manik purposely changed the topic and dragged him out of there.
Outside the house Mukti Aliya and Dhruv were standing and chitchating.
" bhai was looking so happy " Mukti said " Maine soncha nahin tha ki itni jaldi woh shaadi ke liye maan jaayenge ."
" ya even I didn't imagine ki he will agree for arranged marriage that too this early...in just two days...like seriously." Aliya added
"Waise Dhruv ab it's gonna be your turn... After bhai...so apni gaadi patri pe kab la raha hai yaar ". Mukti attack Dhruv. Even though thay are cousins but they are like buddies.
"What.. What are you talking about... I don't understand... What you saying". He get startled by the sudden attack of Mukti.
"Relax bro relax I was just kidding" Mukti said " waise I'm thirsty you guys want something to drink... I'll get it.."
" even I'm getting hungry... Where are these guys " Aliya said getting annoyed.
" I'll get something to drink you guys wait here " said Mukti and left. Dhruv looked at Aliya with a very loving gaze and said
" woh Aliya... Actually... I mean to say is... You know... You are looking beautiful ". struggling with the words.
Aliya got surprised hearing this and her cheeks got red due to shyness.
But still she said " wow Dhruv I thought that I'll not get any compliment today also... Like always... Har baar ki tarha Tum iss Baar bhi kuch nahi bologe. But aaj yeh... Kaise".
" yeh color Tum par Acha lagta hai".
He said again.
This time Aliya didn't say anything instead just bend her head down. Seeing this Dhruv got a chance and boosting and he goes a little closer to her and said " waise aaj pehli baar tumhare baare mein ek baat pata chali ".
Aliya looked at him in questioning look.
" Tum blush bhi karti ho ".
" Dhruv " she started hitting him lovingly and they both have a laugh.
Navya Nandini and Manik Cabir were coming out of the house and saw this. Cabir came forward and said
" yeh main Kya dekh raha hoon... Manik yeh hamara Dhruv hi hai na "
He starts teasing him again
" aisa lag raha hai yahan ek ke baad ek love stories create ho rahi hai... This is something interesting.." Cabir said looking at manan and dhruliya.
Who were trying to avoid everyone 's gaze and looking here and there.
" don't worry Cabir we'll set your love story also kyun guys .." Manik said handling the situation. Aliya said " where were you guys. It's been so long..." And noticing something she turned to Nandini and ask
" arey Nandini tumne apne Baal kyun khol diye itne ache tou lag rahe thei. "
Nandini got startled with the sudden question. Calming herself down she said " Aliya it was getting very uncomfortable... I'm not use to tying it... So I opened it." Listening to her answer Manik smirked and got happy at the Same time that how she's handling things without bringing him in. Navya and Cabir coughed as soon as they hear her. Cabir looked at Manik and gave a teasing smile.
They were having this light fun talk and Rishab came to them and said
" Jeeju... Di I didn't get a chance to congratulate you both " and he hugged Manik and said " welcome to our family Jeeju... Aaj aap officially mere half jeeju ho Gaye."
" thanks " Manik said tapping his back.
"Cabir Aliya Dhruv yeh... This is Rishab Nandini's cousin brother...And Rishab these are my friends and other Fab 5 members.." Manik introduced them.
" It's really an honor to meet you all and... I'm feeling so lucky... That I'm getting connected to you guys in a relation. Nice to meet you. " saying this he shook hands with all of them. He comes to Nandini and hugged her too. And very delightedly he said
" congrats Di I'm so happy for you ". Turning to Manik
" Jeeju ab ek request hai aap sab logon se. Aaj mauka bhi hai and occasion bhi hai... aaj ek performance tou banta aap logon ka...what say guys... Please" Rishab requested.
" Manik ke Saale sahib woh sab tou theek hai but... You know what empty stomach mein mujhse performance tou Kya drums bhi nahi bajte ". Cabir said
" you guys didn't eat anything... Toh phir aaiye na let's get something to eat and than you all can perform." Rishab said.
" But Rishab we didn't have out instruments with us so how can we..." Dhruv asked.
" don't worry about that.. Jeeju knows I'm a very big music lover...and a huge fan of Fab 5...I'll arrange every thing for you". Rishab said excitingly.
"Aliya... Mukti Kahan hai " Navya noticed the absence of her and asked Aliya..
" she went to get herself a drink". Aliya said.
" toh chalo hum bhi chalte hain wahan.." Said Navya
" Navya.. Rishab tum log in sab Ko le jaao... I'll join you guys in a while... Main amms and papa se milke aati Hun" Nandini said. Every body went to get the food. Nandini was walking around the bushes to go in the garden.
"Nandini...ruko ek minute " Manik called her from the back coming after her. She turned around and stopped.
"Ji" she said.
" I want to come with you to meet them". He came beside her and they started taking slow steps.
" ek baat toh batao... Abhi abhi Aliya Ko tumne jhoot kyun kaha about your hair". He asked with a mischievous smile.
Nandini was thinking ' Aiyyappa... Yeh aise question kyun karte hain jiska answer mushkil ho jaata hai '...
" tumne jawab Nahi diya" he asked again enjoying her confusion.
" woh... How can I say...in front of everybody...that You... Did it..." She said hiding her face under hair.
" kyun Nahi... Keh dena tha ki Maine tumhare Baal khole hai." He said teasing her.
"Aww... No I can't say that..." She makes her mouth in the shape of an 'o'.
" wahan sab thei " she lift her head and said looking at her. Manik saw how innocently she said that and he feels like grabbing her than and there and kiss her cute looking lips. But he controlled his desires and smiled.
They came to the table where amms and papa where sitting. Nandini took a chair and sat beside her. Amms make Manik also sat beside her. Amms took Nandini's face in her hands and kissed her forehead and asked
" tu khush hai na Kanna "
" ya amms main khush hoon " she said and hugged her with a broad smile.
Manik saw this and felt happy. Amms broke the hug and turned to Manik and said
" Manik... Main tumhe apne dil ka tukda de rahi hoon... Iska ache se khayaal rakhna...aur ise kabhi koi takleef hone mutt dena".
" amms aap bilkul fikar mutt kijiye...I will take care of her ". Manik said comforting her by holding both of her hands..
Narendra was watching every thing sitting on the opposite side of the table. Nandini got up from her place and went to him and gave him a hug assuring him that she is happy with his decision.
"I Love You papa..." She whispered in his ears.
"I Love You too beta... "Narendra make her sit on the chair next to him. Nandini sat and put her head on narendra's shoulder. Manik smiled seeing the love of father and daughter.
" Manik..Nandini mere ghar ki roshni hai...main apne ghar ki roshni tumhe soump raha hoon... Iss ki roshni Ko kabhi kam hone mut dena.." Narendra told Manik in a very soft spoken voice.
Manik got up from his chair and went near Narendra and sat near him, on his knees and holding his hands and said
"Uncle aap mujh par bharosa rakhiye...main Nandini Ko koi takleef Nahi hone doonga. And she'll always be happy... I promise.."
Narendra stood up from his chair making Manik stand by holding his shoulders and embraced him in his arms with a relaxing gesture..
Manik hugged him back giving him the assurance..
Tears dropped from Nandini's and amms eyes watching this scene.
After few minutes they settle down and Rishab brought two plates filled with food for Manik and Nandini as they didn't eat. As they were eating Manik asked amms
"Amms aapse mujhe ek favor chahiye... "
" mujh se...main Kya kar sakti hoon tumhare liye..."asked amms giving him a quizzical look..
"Bahut kuch... Actually I heard that you are a very good classical singer of your time...aur aapne Nandini Ko bhi sikhaya hai..." He paused " tou can you teach me too.. Waise tou sab kehte hain ki main acha sing karta hoon... But I think I have zero knowledge of classical singing...so can you teach me.." Said Manik
"Mujhe music chod ke bahut time ho Gaya... I don't know if I can teach you or not..."
Amms said,
" koi baat Nahi aap jo bhi jaanti hai...woh sikha dijiye...I'll improve my singing skills..."
Manik continued..
" I heard Nandini.. She sings very well...even though she didn't sing for a long time she said but she didn't lost the touch..."
"Haan...woh tou hai...ek baar koi singing seekh jaaye tou phir bhoolta Nahi.."
Amms said
Nandini was enjoying the conversation going on between amms and Manik and smiling.
"Ladies and gentlemen..." Every body turned to the voice of Rishab coming from the stage on a microphone,
" As you all know that today is my sisters engagement with the lead singer of the famous band Fab 5... Mr Manik Malhotra. So as the whole band is here they gonna give us a rocking performance on this special occasion... Give them a big hand..."
All the guest applauded...
Manik got up from his chair and came close to Nandini and said.
" I'll sing only on one condition...you have to give me company..."
Nandini choked as she heard what Manik said.
"But... But. Main kaise... No no I can't". She got up with a jerk and looked and said in a very slow voice..
Manik looks here and there and grabbed her hand and pulled her to a corner and said
" sonch lo agar tum mera saath nahin doogi tou consequences bhugatna padega"
She gulped her saliva and said
" kaise... Kaise...consequences.."getting very nervous.
" woh main tumhe Nahi bataunga ". He grinned and " ya tou mera saath do ya phir..."
He left the sentence in the middle
"Ya phir.." .she asked again looking at him with wide eyes...
" anything... I can do anything...just be ready..." He said and left her hand and about to leave...
'Aiyyooo...Aiyyappa..'.she walked fast after him and hold his hand again.
Manik smirked and halt. She came in front of him and leaves his hand. By looking at him she said being very nervous
"Ok I will try... But...but first...you all sing together as a band than... I will sing...but I can't sing alone...you have to sing with me...and I don't know rock singing..."
She said being all shy and blushed...
" ok...done...but if you turned away from your words...than you know ..."
And walked away...
'Aiyyappa Kahan phasaa diya...main kaise kar paaungi... And if I backed out I don't know what he's gonna do..." She just tapped her feet and walked to the stage.
On the stage Rishab with the help of the staff took off all the chairs and arranged the instruments accordingly.
Manik came near the stage where all the others were waiting for him.
" so guys...ready"... He asked.
" ya dude for performing always ready.." Said Cabir.
"We'll take it on a slow note and raised the beat...and Mukti you sing the female part..." Manik said.
" done" said Mukti showing the thumbs up.
They all want to the stage and started.
Manik started singing looking at Nandini by giving her a romantic look.

The whole place is echoing with applauds. Manik and all gave a broad smile to the guests. Someone came to Nyonika and Vikram and praises Manik and the band. Nyonika and Vikram felt proud of their children and his friends. Even chachi and came to them and talked about them.
"Bada hi sona munda hai Manik...inna acha gaata hai ki awaaz dil mein utar jaati hai.."
Said chachi to Nyonika.
" Jeejaji ka awaaz tou waqai kamaal ka hai "said Navya looking at Nandini.
" Nandinii... Tumhe Kya hua...tumhari hawaiyaan kyun udi hui hain." Asked Navya seeing Nandini restless.
"Woh...Navya...he said that...I have to sing with him...now...on the stage..."said Nandini getting panicked.
" Tou tum itna ghabra kyun rahi ho...tum itna acha to gayi ho.."Navya said..
"Aur Kaunsa tumhe competition mein gaana hai... Yahan sab apne hi hai...so don't worry..."Navya added.
"Navya you don't understand mera awaaz bhi nahin Nikega unke saamne..." Nandini was very much nervous..." How will I sing "
" Ladies and gentlemen " Manik started announcing " l would like to say something...
I gotta know that Nandini is also a good singer... I really want her to accompany me in my next song...for NANDINI...every body "and he started clapping. Nandini gets panic attack already after hearing him.
Manik stepped down from the stage and ask for hand..she was fidgeting with her hands in nervousness..not looking at him.
"Jeejaji if you don't mind shall I give you an idea" Navya asked.
" haan...go ahead" Manik was constantly gazing Nandini with an intense look. Which is making Nandini more nervous.
" you guys can sing...and I'll invite all the guest on the dance floor...this way every body will be busy in dancing instead of staring her. "Navya suggested. " and aapki yeh wish bhi puri ho jaayegi...what say.."
"That's fine with me...as far as she sings with me "Manik says going more close to her.
Navya went on the stage to call the guest on the dance floor.
' Aiyyappa please help ' she said looking away from him.
" aap kyun zidd kar rahe hain...main Nahi gaa paaungi " she said giving him a requesting look .
" theek hai tou manaa kar do... I don't mind...phir tumhe pay Karna padega..." He said
" remember about the consequences ". He gave her a smirk..enjoying.
" listen main hoon na... You'll be fine... I will start and you join in the middle..it's that simple.." He said in a serious note.
"So shall we." He asked raising his hands.
Nandini gave her hand to him. He held her hand tightly and went on the stage. Every body start clapping and the music starts. Even Mukti Aliya and Dhruv stood up and started to Moves their bodies on the tune.
Manik sang

Placing her both hands on his shoulders she lost herself in him dancing quietly.

Manik held Nandini waist with both of his hands and pull her a little close to him.nandini closed her eyes. he sang inhaling her fragrance

She continued

Manik gave a little squeeze on her waist.she gasped and looked at him. He gestured her to sing. Nandini started to sing

Manik joined again looking at her in an intense gaze

Nandini continued singing feeling like she is getting petrified by his gaze

Manik sang again pulling her more closer. She kept her head on his big broad shoulders closing her eyes. The smell of his after she filled her senses. Manik felt as if he got what he wanted and smiled.
They sang together.

Again the night was echoed with big round of applause by the guest. Manik and Nandini came out of the trances. Nandini slowly moved away from him getting all blushed trying to ignore his intense stare on her. He cannot just look away from her. Cabir Mukti and Aliya Dhruv came to them and said
" wow Nandini you got such beautiful voice. " Cabir said
" bhai so you got your competition ". Mukti added
" humne kaha tha ki Nandini ki awaaz kitni achi hai"Navya also joined them.
All of the guest were praising and clapping to them and making them all shy and embarrassed. It was already midnight and guests starts to leave. The only people left in the garden is Murthy's and Malhotra's. Amms excused herself by saying that she is tired. Manik thought of something and came to Nyonika and said
" mom is it ok if we stay a little more here... We'll leave after a couple of hours.."
" If it is ok with them than I don't have a problem " she said. " let me ask Narendra bhaisaab". She walked.
"Mom mom mom...I have something else to ask you ". He stopped her in the middle.
"What" Nyonika asked.
" mom...woh...actually...main Nandini Ko date pe le jaana chahta hoon.." He asked sheepishly rubbing his neck with his hand.
Nyonika hit him on his shoulder and smiled.
" but beta when do you have time. " she asked. " you didn't even went to the office yet.
" I'll manage every thing.. You know me na..so don't worry ".
He said getting his hopes high.
" ok you come with me ".
They came to Narendra and Vikram was already there asking for their leave. Nyonika also asked for the leave. Narendra thanked them for everything. Nyonika said
" bhaisaab if it is ok with you the kids want to stay a little more and spend time with each other " she asked.
" why should I mind this is their house too they can stay as long as they want ". Said Narendra. Manik got excited hearing him..
"Manik you wanted to ask something else too...right..so go ahead and ask".
Nyonika told Manik.
" koi khaas baat hai Kya...any thing serious " Narendra asked.
"Woh aapko Manik batayega ". Nyonika said
Manik took two steps towards Narendra and in A very polite way asked him
" uncle...agar aap ijaazath dein tou..." He cleared his voice and continued "If you grant me permission... I want to take Nandini with me to dinner. ". He bend down his head and waited for his answer. Narendra smiled and taking a look at him he said
"First of all stop calling me uncle..I'm .Nandini's papa. So in a way I'm your papa too...second thing is she is your going-to-be wife...I'll be happy if you guys spend time together and get to know each other." He added.
Manik gave a hug to him and said" thanks uncle...oops...I mean papa..thank you so much ". Manik turned and gave a hug to his mom and dad and said thanks to them..and left from there.
"Vikram I'm really surprised and happy too ki yeh aaj ke zamaane ka he ladka hai jo itna well mannered and traditional hai... But of course the credit goes to you guys after all ." Narendra said feeling proud..
" yeh sab in madam ki parvarish hai ". Vikram gestured to Nyonika and said.
Nyonika smiled.
After some more chitchating they exchanged byes and left from there.
Nandini came to Narendra and asked. " papa aaj aap bahut tired ho Gaye na...you didn't even took medicine...aap chaliye main aapko medicine deti hoon"..
" I'm fine beta..don't worry about me... I'll take the medicine myself...you go and have fun...enjoy ". Narendra tapped on Nandini's head and tells her to go.
" are you sure papa" Nandini asked " yes...yes I'm sure you go" narendra said again.
Every Body left. Waiters were cleaning all the mess and taking care of the left over food and everything. The young clan were sitting on the chairs in a circle.
They were sitting in a way starting from Cabir Aliya Dhruv Navya Mukti Manik Rishab and Nandini. Manik and Cabir were spreading there legs in front of them relaxing. Manik put his head on the back rest of his chair.
" tou Manik Kya secrets ho rahe the Aunty and Nandini ke dad se". Cabir started the conversation. Manik just gave a glare at him being in the same position. Thinking
' iski Nazar se kuch bachta hi Nahi.'
" aisi koi baat Nahi hai Cabir" Manik said.
"Guys hamare paas ek acha plan hai " Navya said. " now that Nandini is getting married so I'm planning a girls sleep over I'm my house. Aliya Mukti if you want to join you can join with us. ". Said Navya
" that's a good plan...when is it happening " Aliya asked.
"Tomorrow evening ". Navya answered.
"What tomorrow...no no not tomorrow " Manik all of a sudden sat straight and said.
"But why jeejaji...aap kyun manaa kar rahe hain. " Navya asked.
Nandini looked at Manik in a surprising look.
"Tujhe Kya problem hai...yeh girls ka sleep over hai ". Cabir said trying to figure out what's going on in his mind.
" kuch Nahi...woh kal tum logon ka sleepover nahin ho sakta " he said again.
" but why Manik what's the problem... It's for us and if you have any work you can take care of it naa..as you are getting married in few days". Aliya said
" kaha naa ke not tomorrow...you can do it day after tomorrow ". Manik is getting irritated coz he don't to say out loud in front of everybody that he is planning to take Nandini on dinner.
" ok now...you are acting weird...spill it out what's in that head of yours". Cabir also sits straight. And asked.
" haan Manik...girls ke sleep over se tujhe Kya problem hai" Dhruv asked
"Jeejaji agar aapka koi aur plan hai tou boliye...hum apna plan change kar lenge" Navya added.
Manik looked at Rishab...he got up and turned to Nandini and said
"Nandini ek minute can you come with me." He said and walked away from them
Nandini who was listening to all the talk and trying to figure out what he was thinking suddenly startled and looked at him who was already standing a little far away from them putting his hands in his pockets. She walked to him. He turned to her
" I would like to take you out for dinner with me on a date...tomorrow...alone...only you and me...will you come." He asked her with a very intense voice.
With this sudden bombshell Nandini's cheeks turned red and she just start to look here and there not able to handle the intensity in his eyes. She didn't know what to say.
" I have to ask papa...Before I say yes... She said very softly
" what if I say that I took permission from papa and everybody who is important...than"
'Papa...what really...he called my father papa...and he already took permission...when' she thought
" but aapne kab poocha papa se". Nandini asked
"Is that important... Maine kaha na ki I already asked him and my mom and my dad..
So what is your answer" he asked again.
" main...Kya Bolun ". She shyly ask him
" let me ask you properly ". He took out his hand and forwarded to her and asked
" Miss Nandini Murthy... Would you like to go on a date with me Manik Malhotra.."
She looked at him with a smile which has lot of shyness in it and with racing heart she hold his hand.and said
"Yes... I will... come with you on a date" he held her hand and gave a squeez..she took a deep breadth...
" thanks". He said and went to the clan and said
" so it's done guys... Your sleep over will be on Day after tomorrow."
" wait...wait...wait.. What's going on...

Cabir is getting frustrated not knowing what's happening.
" Nandini Tum Hume batado hum sab ko bata denge " Navya got up and went near her.
" woh... He wants to take me to dinner tomorrow.." Nandini literally whispered in Navya ear.
" ohhh yeh baat hai ... Toh jeejaji iss mein chupane waali Kya baat hai... Hum batate hain...tomorrow jeejaji Nandini ko date par lejaa rahe hain ".
" Date nahi Navya dinner" Nandini try's to correct her but got embarrassed by her own dialogue.
Every body started laughing. Even Manik smiled at her innocence. Feeling the heat in her face she bend her face down avoiding every bodies gaze.
" tou pehle bata nahi salta tha... Tu kab se sharmane lag Gaya" Cabir taunt Manik.
" haan bhai yeh tou achi baat hai na ki you guys wanted to spend time together ". Mukti added.
"Tou Navya hum apna sleepover day after tomorrow kar lenge... Theek haina..." Asked Aliya.
" Manik ek baat saaf saaf sunle...after tomorrow you guys will not get alone time till marriage ok..." Said Dhruv
" Dhruv theek keh raha hai. First of all there is only this much time left and phir you will be busy in your life so ... Only tomorrow " Cabir added. After all the agreements they started to leave exchanging byes. Navya went inside Cabir Aliya and Dhruv were settling in the car. Manik is taking slow steps with Nandini behind the bushes. Actually he was waiting for her to say bye but she didn't say anything so he stopped and turned to her
" bye nahi bologi " he looked at her she was bending her head down
She said " no"
He came a little closer to her and lift her face with his fingers. " She closed her eyes.
" kyun " he whispered in a very husky tone. Her heart started to beat faster feeling his close proximity.
" bolo" securing her beauty in his eyes he asked again
He was so much closed to her that she can feel his breadth on her face.
"Open your eyes and look into my eyes " she opened her eyes and looked straight into his eyes. She got lost in the intensity of his eyes and without blinking she said
" I don't like byes " he smiled on her innocent looking face and said
" theek hai I won't say bye but I can do one thing " he bend down and gave a very warm and seductive kiss on her cheek. Her heart beat stopped and she closed her eyes and stood still. He moved away and watch her with a passion. He said
" Nandini Tum aankhein khol sakti ho"
" she opened her eyes slowly and looked down getting all red.
" I'll see you tomorrow than " he said smiling and walked out of the house.
