Chapter 2

Nandu was sleeping peacefully when some naughty rays of sunlight came peeping through the window and disturbed her beauty sleep and she flinched and then smiled and said good morning amma...good morning appa...aj apne jaldi utha diya mujhe...I want to sleep more...yeah you read it right...she always talk to her amma appa like this...whenever sun rays wake her up she assume that to be her parents, when birds chirp in some garden she is passing through she think that her parents are chatting about her and like such things she always consider her parents to be alive and to be with her forever...her sleep was again broken by continuous vibration of cell phone which was of none other than Navya to remind her that they have to go Malhotra mansion for discussion today as Dhruv's house is going through some renovation..you know shadi wala ghar hai...she picked up the call half opening her eyes and said in a sleepy voice hello...on which Navya replied panicky Nandu tu abhi tak uthi nahi? Uth ja naa...aj Dhruv ki shadi ke discussion ke lie jana hai...bhul gai kya?? Accha sun tu jaldi se uth mai abhi office ja rahi hu tujhe address message kar rahi hu vaha aa jana...vo Dhruv ke ghar par kuch kam chal raha hai...and Nandu replied coming out of her slumber as she remembered her encounter with Manik oopss monster Manik... :p...haa haa Navya yaad hai mujhe..uth hi gai hu..tum mujhe address message kar do..mai time par pahuch jaungi...and they hung up the call...after that Nandu got up and went to washroom to get fresh up...

On the other hand Manik was already up and was in deep thoughts on our Nandu only...sorry bolu kya mai use? But mai kisi ko sorry nahi bolta hu...I am the Manik Malhotra...but all were saying that she is hurt...mene sach mai zyada gussa kia kya?? Haa...vo sach mai ro rahi thi..or uski galti bhi nahi thi..par usko tab bolna chahie tha naa...mai sorry nahi bolunga par...his thoughts were interrupted by a knock on his door and he said in his usual bossy tone yes...come in and a hesitant servant came to tell him that breakfast is ready on which he nodded and got down to have his breakfast still thinking about his meet with Nandu...

Both had their breakfast at their respective house and then were busy in their daily chores...Manik in his office and meetings and Nandu in her job...but the thought of that encounter was never living their thoughts...but unknowingly both were actually waiting to meet each other...both were confused what is this pull? Why the hell on earth when no one was able to understand spoken words here they can read the pain in their eyes...how?? both were going through almost same turmoil but our Manik was more tensed as today his mind was not working and after so long time his heart was beating so fast that he doubted kahi kisi or ko bhi na sunai de jaye...he was just not able to decide whether to say sorry or not...his mind was saying no but his heart was screaming yes...and thinking about each other and doing a little work time passed and the time for the meeting held at Malhotra mansion was coming near...and another play of destiny was waiting to be played...

Nandini was getting ready to go for the meet...and the door bell rang...she hurriedly wore her dress and went to open the door...and when she opened the door she was shocked, stunned, surprised and what not...she blinked her eyes lashes many times to confirm is she dreaming or what? But when she opened her eyes she saw him only...and then he cleared his throat breaking her trance and looked at her with a straight and stern face as he has come here to cancel some deal...she was still thinking how come he got her address, how did he got to know her apartment no.?? Is he spying on me? And more & more thoughts were coming in her chotu sa mind which was not working properly...yeah it was none other than Manik...his inner turmoil was not ending and he was getting more restless and impatient so he decided to end this turmoil by going to its reason he ordered his source to took out her address from Muqti or Navya indirectly and he succeeded in it and went straight to her house and he was actually mesmerised by the site in front of him...as she opened the door her eyes becoming big as saucer and mouth in a perfect oo and it was height of cuteness when she batted her lashes to confirm his presence..he was glad at the decision he made and at the same time he was confused by his act himself...but to break their trance a loud voice of Muqti was coming from downstairs who was talking on her call or rather shouting indirectly and unknowingly making them aware of her presence and Manik was first one to come out of trance and looked at still in shock Nandu and pushed her inside with him and closed the door and said in low huskily voice hey listen...I need to hide somewhere if Muqti got to know I am here it will not be good for both of us...can you tell me where I can hide...on which Nandu came out from shock and started panicking...omg omg..ab mai kya karu...Aiyyoo Ayiappa... kaha fas gai mai...Muqti aa gai...and you...pointing towards him without letting her complete he said listen we can fight later first show me a place to hide...after registering what is happening she pointed towards the kitchen as she knew Muqti will never go there and Manik literally rushed from their...and as he was almost their Muqti rand the door bell ever so loudly and Nandini without thinking twice ran to open the door and Muqti saw her breathing heavily as she was coming from some marathon...and raised her brows as asking what happened on which Nandini shrugged her shoulders fiddling with her fingers and gave space to let her come in...chal jaldi se ready ho ja...sath mai challenge aaj...Muqti said to Nandini who was all nervous as she didn't want to lie to Muqti and can't even go locking behind Manik...she was just thinking what to do what to do and suddenly an idea struck her and she said Muqti tum jao naa..I will be a little late...Muqti again frowned suspiciously as it was not so like Nandu guessing which Nandu replied are baba vo office ka kam hai thoda sa...sir ne kuch designs die hai...you know themes ke lie..and I have to get them ready so that is why I am asking you...satisfied with her answer a bit she said okay and said she will leave then...but suddenly they heard some voice coming from kitchen side...and Muqti got alarmed as she thought that it is some thief and looked at Nandini and Nandini was sweating...as she knew Manik was there and what if she caught them...it's not that they were doing something wrong but it will be hell embarrassing for both of them as they met yesterday only and today he is here at her house...she kept staring at the kitchen and when started walking towards kitchen Nandini's breathe got hitched and she shut her eyes tightly expecting some loud voices but when she didn't found that she half opened her eyes and peeped to kitchen and saw Muqti searching but was not able to find anything so she came back and said choti...ghar mai chuhe ho gae hi kya?? Awaz aa rahi thi kuch...and Nandu replied Muqti tum bhi na...James bond ho kya...sahi se nahi rakha hoga isilie gir gaya hoga..chalo ab jao...mujhe bhi late kar rahi ho...and she dagged her out and bid bye to her saying she will join her soon...

Manik was having a hard time in hiding such a small place because of his height so he was adjusting when he saw someone coming and quickly hide in Nandu's room as it was just near the kitchen and relaxed when he heard Muqti leaving... as he looked around he was amused on seeing the sight in front of him...he was in a girl's bedroom which was painted in light purple shade with white simple but beautiful he thought...decorations were not expensive but surely have warmth and love...a single wooden bed place in the centre with white bed sheet and a multi coloured comforter...the wall just opposite to bed have a simple wall clock, but the adjacent wall had so many photos...some of Muqti, Navya, Nandini together, one was a couple may be parents he thought he was admiring her room...he can guess she is indeed a simple and innocent girl...she is sober but have all the things to attract someone...her attraction was her simplicity, soberness...he was lost in his own thoughts when Nandini came running to find him and saw him looking her room with a slight smile playing on his lips...she was lost...lost in that slight smile...he looks so good when he smiles she thought...but brushing off her thoughts she barged in and shook him from his thoughts and said in a calm but firm tone why are you here? How you got my address?? I said sorry yesterday na...ab kya firse chillaoge?? Sacchi mene jaan bujh ke nahi kia kuch bhi...it was just I got tripped...ab mujhe thodi pata tha ke aap aa jaoge mere samne and mai ap par gir jaungi but uski data kal laga to di aapne...ab kya punish bhi karoge? She ended up by complaining like a baby and pouted and don't why but Manik was so much tempted towards her that he would gobble her right away...she is damn cute and kid he thought...coming out from his thoughts he said in a amused tone miss. Moorthy let me speak at least...voo...vooo he started to stammer as he came to say sorry but couldn't find right words for it I actually came here to too...errrmmm...haa...pick you up for the meeting...and he mentally kicked himself for giving such a lame excuse... Nandini was astonished why he is behaving like this...and he again corrected himself and before she could say vo tumhare jane ke bad mujhe sabne bola that it was not your fault t..o...tooo...I thought to mend it up and pick you up for the meeting...and she was like kya bol raha hai ye? And she said ooohhh...so you wanted to say sorry...so itna kya sochna tha usme...sorry bol dete naa...vese nahi bhi bolte to chal jata because I know you are short tempered Muqti ne bataya hai mujhe...but pata hai...meri amma mujhe kehti thi ke sorry bolne se koi chota nahi ho jata but agar vo sorry bolta hai to log uski or bhi respect karte hai kyoki usne apni galti accept ki...she said in a serious tone and he was again lost...what is this girl...I shouted on her like hell and today she is behaving as I am her some lost friend...Manik tu kam hai kya...tu bhi to uske ghar tapak pada told his inner voice and said so can we leave miss. Moorthy...all will be waiting for US...I..I mean you and me...Nandu just nodded her head,...she herself don't know why she behaved like this with him...why she was so comfortable with him? Why she felt good that he who never listened or said sorry to anyone tried to say sorry to her...she was feeling butterflies in her stomach but this was a new start for both of them she thought...she was not scared in going with him...she knew he is a good man...and how he protected fab5 she have heard so many times from Muqti...they both went towards his car and don't know from where he opened the door of passenger seat for her like a gentleman and she smiled at him as acknowledgment and sat there and he took his seat and started the car for their way to his house... they have just started their journey there is so more to come...they have just talked once properly and are feeling comfortable...destiny will surely play its role for good and he will make her his...

Chapter 3

After around 10 minutes of silent Nandu finally broke the silence and asked can I switch on the music system? I am getting bored sitting like this... Manik gave her an amused look and gave a nod on which she smiled ad happily switched on the system and changed it to FM and the RJ was talking about feelings and was saying so guys...aaj mausam bada be-iman hai or pyaar ki bahar hai...mai hu, tum ho,or thanddi si ye fiza hai...chai ki ek pyali hai, share karne wali hai...dost nahi koi aas paas...akele hum akele tum kuch to khumari hai...sahi samjhe ap log...aj hum bat kar rahe hai feelings ke bare mai...vo koi bhi feeling ho sakti hai, dosti, pyar, dard, ya fir kuch or...lekin use pehle ye gana sunte hai...sunte rahiye mere sath...and the song played was like fuel to fire which was developing between these two unknown but known people... baatein kuch ankahi si kuch ansuni si hone lagi...hearing this unconsciously both become conscious and looked at each other for some seconds and broke the eye lock...both remembered their little conversation at nandu's place and their first encounter, the pain both saw in each other's eyes..the feeling of loneliness in others life and what not...unknowingly both were sharing their pain through eyes...both were looking each other from the corner of eyes but didn't have the gut to look in each other's eyes...and drive was silent again but looking at awkward situation formed Nandu thought to change the FM channel but to her luck next channel was playing some sensual song...paas aao naa...jaane do naa...listening which her eyes popped out and hurriedly she again changed the channel but again same happened so at last she switched off the system and all the time a small smile was playing across Manik's lips..How she got nervous...how unintentionally her cheeks were becoming pink due to blushing...she didn't know what her innocent acts were doing to him...an unknown feeling was developing in him for her...both were silent but as the destination was close Manik said in low husky voice listen...she looked at him and he continued don't tell anyone about that otherwise no one will be worse than me...he tried to threaten her and she was looking at him with a confused but horrified expression and nodded her head vigorously he hide his smile and again said you will enter first and then I will after 5-10 minutes later...if anybody asked that how do come tell them that you came by auto...okk?? He asked and she again nodded...and they were at his house, she followed as she was told and went inside the house...

All were waiting there for Nandu and Manik...servants have told them that Manik is at office for some meeting and will be here and Muqti told them about nandu's office work and they chilled until they saw a nervous but smiling Nandu coming towards them... Cabir was the one who noticed her first and stood up from his seat and walked towards her and all followed his path and Cabir gave a friendly side hug to Nandu and she was a little uncomfortable but thought it's okay and smiled...and he said welcome Nandini and I am extremely sorry for yesterday's incident and he was cut by Nandu its okay Cabir...it was neither me nor he who was at fault...so chuck it and let's start for what we are for...and everyone was bowled at her understanding and tenderness...Aliya came forward and hugged her ever so tightly she was so overwhelmed and same was for others...Dhurv also gave her a side hug and Muqti and Navya jumped on her for a group hug...after this sweet hugging session all proceeded to main hall and started to discuss and they heard Manik clearing his throat to get some attention and all looked at him...and Cabir gestured him to sit beside him and others just waved a hello to him and got busy with the discussion and this annoyed him a little as they were not even talked to him and what annoyed him the most that Nandini didn't even looked at him smiling was far away..he grumpily sat besides Cabir and listened what she was saying... she had a notepad and pen in her hand was writing and explaining to everyone about all the rasms in a Indian wedding and the first was tilak but as they have already done it so next was engagement then mehendi then haldi and sangeet and final the wedding...continuously moving her delicate hands in air trying and moving her falling strands of her from her face...she finished explaining and said so guys this are the functions we have to plan but they were all looking at her surprisingly on stunned she confusingly looked at them for a reply but no one was replying she saw Manik was also staring at her but not the way like others she started to blush on seeing his intense gaze on her but shooing away that she shook Muqti and all came back to earth and she asked guys kya hua? Samajh nahi aya kuch? She asked nervously and in return all hopped in her as she was their favourite candy and she got scared by the sudden action and started pushing them and they realised what they were doing and said sorry in unison and she looked them shocked and was expecting an explanation for sudden action and Aliya replied Nandini you are the best...mtlab how can someone explain everything this good...itna acha to koi wedding planner bhi nahi smajata...accha hua wedding planner nahi kia...Varna itna sab janne nahi milta...thanks to Manik jisne kaha ke sab khud karenge and Cabir seconded her and said yaar Nandini tu hai itni choti si itna sab fit kaha aya tere andar and nandu's mouth flung open in a perfect O and she ran to beat Cabir but Muqti hold her by her hand and pulled her but she again tripped and lost her balance and walked forward to balance her but the table placed at centre hit her on her knee and she directly fell in Manik's lap beside Cabir as she was walking to Cabir and forward to Cabir was our Manik only...she clutched his blazer tightly in her fist and Manik on the place was shocked so were others and she was still in his lap closing her eyes but when she didn't felt any pain and opened her eyes she was stunned she looked at her and then at Manik and their position and then again at Manik he was looking at her blankly...she hurriedly tried to get up but her knee was hurt she again sat in his lap due to pain and again looked at him and when all came out from shock they looked at Manik and then Nandini and burst out laughing like manic all had tears in their eyes looking at them embarrassed but Manik was Manik...monster Manik again wake up and gave them a glare and they suddenly stopped laughing and then again looked at embarrassed Nandini still on his lap looking down and again started to laugh...Manik looked at Nandini and whispered in her ear I won't mind if you sit here all the time but it will be better if we do this alone he said with a wink and naughty glint and it was too much for innocent Nandu that she became red due to embarrassment and ran from their in house itself with hurt knee...she didn't knew where she was going she ran ran and get into a room...

It was dark in the room...she tried to find the switch board and switched on the light and gasped at the scene in front of her... a king sized bed was placed in the middle of room and a black and white picture of ever so handsome shirtless Manik Malhotra...the room was big as her whole apartment she guessed...she walked inside and saw beautifully decorated room with class...it was sober but extremely beautiful...she was admiring the room and here in the hall everyone had stopped their laughing and looked at an angry looking Manik then found that Nandini was not their they all got nervous that she left but Manik said in angry tone what the hell guys...kya tha ye? Do you even know how embarrassed she was? Ek to Muqti you pulled her she lost her balance upar se use lag bhi gai and you were laughing,...dimag kharab hai kya? Pehle hi she looked uncomfortable and tum usko or embarrass kar rahe ho...woww...great...he ended mockingly and all were shocked again...the Manik Malhotra first time ever was defending a girl and not because they laughed on him...Muqti thought something to herself and Cabir was too can smell something different as they have never seen Manik protective or worried for others except them and here he is scolding them for embarrassing Nandu...but chucking this thought they looked each other knowing that they have done wrong and said in unison sorry on which he gave them a deadly glare and said mujhe nahi usko bolo sorry...pata nahi kaha gai...itne bade ghar mai...pata bhi nahi hai usko kuch or upar se lagi hui hai usko...arrrhhh...he stood up irritatingly and walked to find Nandu...and all passed look to each other and also started mission find Nandini...

Manik was looking everywhere he and was passing through the corridor of his room and felt someone humming some melody and this sound was coming from his room only...he walked towards his room and slowly opened the door and was shocked to see Nandini in his room and admiring the room humming a melody...he was totally bowled at her sweet honeylicious voice and saw her smiling all the time but he saw she was not able to walk properly so without thinking twice he just entered in his room and picked her up in his arms and placed her ever so softly on bed in a sitting position Nandu was going to shout on this sudden action but seeing him she just forgot everything and sat on the bed...he sat near her and asked in a concerned voice are you okay? Is it hurting? Should I call the doctor? She was listening and was lost in her own thoughts...he again asked I am calling the doctor before he could call Nandu snatched phone from him and said in a low tone I am fine...it will be okay..It's just a little pain..she didn't looked in his eyes he knew she was still embarrassed he didn't forced her either but it was irking him...but he shoo them away and was going to say something but hearing everyone's voice he stood up and went to open the door properly so everyone could come in...All saw Nandini and Manik in Manik's room..a sitting Nandini and a standing Manik...all were guilty for making her uncomfortable and standing in front of them holding their ears all said sorry in unison and Nandini looked them surprisingly and then tried to stand up but before she could register anything Manik gave her his hand for support and made her stand on her feet with her one hand on his shoulder and other on his hand and everyone was again perplexed on Manik's this behaviour but before they could say Nandu said guys...I am not angry...don't say sorry please...all become more guilty after listening this from her and all hugged her and this became a group hug including Manik this time as he was supporting Nandu...shooing away the guilt from everyone Nandu was back to herself and said breaking the hug...guys...I forgot...I have brought something for you guys...listening which Muqti, Navya and Nandu exchanged looks as they knew it's about what and other asked including Manik what? And she replied pehle bahar to chalo...and dragged everyone out where her bag was kept on the table and taking out a box from she said vo actually I made a cake sabke lie to vahi hai...and everyone grinned on listening cake and that too homemade and Cabir literally ran to her and snatched the box and opened it and took a bite and moaned...listening which everyone too ran and started snatching the box to eat and after 5 minutes the box was empty...and all were moaning and praising her at a time and was messing everything as she was not able to listen anything properly and said guys...ek ek karke bolo naa...kesa bana?? I know vesa nahi hoga jesa badi badi bakeries mai hota hai but fir bhi I thought I should give something to you all and she was cut by Cabir who said pagal hai tu?? Itna yummy cake maine aaj tak kabhi nahi khaya...badi se badi bakery mai bhi nahi...and everyone seconded him and then Dhruv said with a puppy dog face tabhi to sara tu hi kha gaya...hume to kuch mila hi nahi...and Cabir smiled victoriously but no one noticed that Manik had not ate the cake actually he didn't got a chance and was standing looking at them...breaking their moment Muqti said chalo guys...its late now...as we know the functions now we can start planning but from tomorrow please...and choti to hai hi naa agar kuch dikkat hui to she will be there with us every time...kyo Nandu? She asked looking at her and she nodded her head with a sweet smile and Navya said chalo fir chalet hai...aaj ke lie itna kaafi hai...baki ka kam kal karte hai...and everyone agreed and bid bye to Manik and everyone and started to move out but suddenly Nandu said aiyyo Muqti mai abhi aai...mera phone andar reh gaya hai...saying this and without waiting for the reply she ran inside and saw Manik looking at the door as he was waiting for her only to come and she nervously walked towards him and take out a small box from her bad and gave it to him and said vo ye cake hai...I brought two boxes but ye dena bhul gai fir dekha ke apne nahi khaya to socha I should give it to you...she was blabbering not knowing what to say she specially had brought this for Manik but was making excuse and Manik actually can see that in her eyes but he kept quiet and when she stopped and looked at him he leaned on her and huskily replied thanks...and she ran out from their...Muqti and Cabir was watching nandu's expression and was thinking something...all went to their respective house with a mental note to meet tomorrow for planning and slipped o their beds for some good sleep...but nobody knows that our two poor souls were not able to sleep...they were thinking, tossing and turning on the bed and other two the evil twins had something in their evil mind...
