Chapter - 19

All were shocked would be an understatement. They were gaping at the little girl who was still confused that Why Mr. Lambu is not responding hehe and Manik was dumbfound, He didn't knew how to react. He has a bad history in handling kids and now is stuck.

Nandu on the other hand was confused and nervous at the same time. She didn't know why though , it was like an exam for her too. So many questions were running in her head ; How will he react?, Will he scold her or worse, shout at her? No, No, Manik won't shout on a kid but He had shouted on you too na Nandu...

And the little devil who was the actual reason of all these is still looking at him expectantly but getting no response she started shooting daggers at Mr. Lambu and even after that when Mr. Lambu didn't responded she did what in which she is an expert she pouted and started her drama...She is a big time drama queen and all knew this at orphanage still gave into her drama as she is little and super cute...

( Her name is Sneha and Sn will be used as her short form)

Sn - Bhagwan ji...she shouted looking at the sky as if Bhagwan ji is listening...And all looked baffled at her that why she is shouting suddenly but kids and Nandini have enough Knowledge about that so they just kept quite to have a great show...

Sn - Bhagwan ji please meri bat suno naa...ye jo Mr. Lambu hai naa..haa yahi jo mere samne itne lambe se khade hai...she pointed at Manik and all were silently laughing and adoring that how cute she is...and our bichara Manik was standing there trying to controlling his anger.

Sn - ye meri bat hi nahi sun rahe...koi meri bat nahi sunta hai...vo yoo wale bhaiya ne bhi nahi suni..mai to akeli hu naa..koi hai hi nahi mera jo sunega or manega...koi pyar hi nahi karta mujhse...mene kaha unse ke mujhe pick kro apni gaud mai but vo to dekh bhi nahi rahe mujhe...itni buri hu kya mai bhagwan ji?

Manik's anger flew away when he saw the little angel sobbing and asking such questions. He knew how it feels to be alone. He instantly picked her up in his arms and embraced her tightly and Sneha too responded and hugged him as her life depends on him. Manik was crying silently whereas Sneha was crying aloud. Fab5 understood why h did that at first they were stunned of Manik's reaction but afterwards they understood how he felt and now they were sure Manik will connect to her and all the kids as his own.

They were never wrong Manik gently took her out of his embrace and kneeled down to her said -

M - Baby, idhar dekho...aap bure nahi ho...ap to bahut ache ho...see itne sare log apse pyar karte hai...he showed her all the kids and fab5 standing there, tensed for her.

Sn - Fir mumma kyu nahi hai? Papa kyu nahi hai?

Now Manik couldn't answer. He too was trying to find answer of the same question all his life...suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to look Nandini standing there tear eyed.

She too kneeled down beside them and hold Bothe of their hands in her and said looking in Maniks's eyes -

N - Coz you are a special child...she tore her eye contact from him and took Sneha I her embrace and continued talking.

N - Tumhe pata hai baby, jiske maa - papa nahi hote hai naa vo Bhagwan ji ke special child hote hai...Bhagwan ji khud unki care karte hai, unhe watch karte hai..or agar vo nahi aa pate to Kisi angel KO apke pas bhej dete hai to look after you. Jese apki warden did hai naa...

Sn - Nahi nanni di, warden didi angel nahi hai...angel to aap ho...I love you...

All watched them in awe and Manik, he was feeling overwhlmed...he didn't know why but all these new feelings he feel around Nandini is always overwhelming and he couldn't control them...he don't know how knew that the first sentence she spoke was for him too and he agreed to her angel wali philosophy. He found his angel too...

Suddenly they were engulfed by so many arms...all the kids and fab4 embraced them tightly and they fell on the ground, Nandini on Manik and Sneha on Nandini and all others on them...and all burst out laughing even Manik too...all were happy and feeling content for the first time...

Suddenly Sneha spoke gaining everyone's attention rolling her hand on her chottu sa tummy..

Sn - Nanni, bhuk lagi hai..kuch khilao naa pleasshhh...

And all the kids nodded their head vigoursly and of course our all time bhukkad Cabir joined them too...It was almost mid day and they haven't eaten anything. Nandini then asked all of them,

N - kya khana hai babies ko?

And all the kids shouted together Apke hath ka khana...and then licked their lips as if rembering the time she had cooked for them...

She laughed hertily on their demand and turned her attention to Manik as they were at his House and she need to take his permission and seeing that look on her face Fab5 understood what she wanted to ask and looked at Manik giving giver her permission look as if he was going to deny Manik thought.

He called the head worker and asked him to follow every instruction Nandini will give and to provide everything she needs.

Nandini was very happy and was feeling proud...proud? Why? Its just he is a good person why am I feeling proud? Huh..Nandu tu bhi naa...

She still wanted to ask for somethinga nd waited till everyone were dispersed and asked fiddling with her fingers...

N - umm...Mr. Malhotra

And the look Manik gave was enough to tell her that call me again with formality and watch the devil...

N - I mean, Manik...can I ask for a favour please? I know apne pehle hi bahut kuch kia aaj but please just last one favour?

She looked expecnantly at him for answer and Manik gave her a hard look and said.

M - Nandini I thought we overcame with such formalities. You can ask anything.

N - sorry Manik vo...can we arrange lunch in the garden itself? Vo kya hai naa baccho ko bahut accha lagega and Dhuv or Aliya ke lie prewedding shoot ki arrangements bhi ho jaengi. We can capture some candid moments without letting them know. I was not expecting kids here naa to photographer se aaj ki date fix kr rakhi th soo it will be good too...we can set somethings up for shoot with lunch.

M - woah, Miss wedding plannar, I didn't knew your tin brain works this good..

He teased her and she was like hawww hehe...but before she could reply, the worker came and broke their trance for the list of ingredients which will be needed for lunch and here kids with Fab4 were muching on some fruits and chocolates till Nandu is done with her cooking.

After giving proper instructions of the arrangement to be done in the garden and for cooking they moved inside the living room only to get another shock. Kids and Fab4 were running around whole room and had created a mess of it. Chocolates on their mouth, fruits in air and also on someone's face too...all were giggling and laughing. Manik and Nandini had a content look watching them like this, carefree, happy.

Their happiness soon turned into naughtiness as both looked at each other and smirked...together shouted making them stop suddenly and plastered their face with fake anger. All were terrified that ab to daant padegi and MaNan were smiling inwardly seeing their reactions.

First came the kids with most innocent smiles and fiddling with fingers and one of the elder kid said didi, humne nahi kia...vo bhaiya - didi ne start kia hum to acche se kha rahe the...sacchi...and pinched his throat as if swearing truly. And Manik gave Fab4 a look and they were looking everywhere except him. But being close to the kids Nandini knew they aren't that innocent and glared them for mischief and after that lieing.

N - Acchaa, agar sirf unhone kia hota to aap sab ki esi halat nahi hoti...chize khane ke lie thi ya khelne ke lie? Agar ese hi khelna hai to mai kuch nahi bana rahi...waste hi hoga na vese bhi sab..

She faked her anger and turned around not showing her face to any of them but being standing together Manik can see sidewise her face and she eyed him to continue the drama...

M - Or guys, tum log? Bacche ho kya? Kya halat bana di hai itne acche living room ki? Unhe samjha ke fruits khilane ki jagah tum unpr vo throw kar rahe the? Seriously...

He too turned and now both were facing their back to them and here kids were close to crying and Fab4 too felt bad for being this mischief around kids...they looked at each other and came together behind MaNan and said holding their ears SORRY...

MaNan were laughing inside watching them like this especially Fab4. The ever so notorious Cabir saying sorry for some mischief is a sight to watch. They turned around still faking angry face and said its okay...but you all have to clean the mess you have created...

All were like mar gaye ans now MaNan couldn't hold back their laughted and burst into fits of laughter...kids were looking at them as they have grown two heads and Fab4 understood that they were pulling their leg and glared them for doing this.

C - waah Manik waah...dekh li teri dosti...dost dost naa raha...aur Nandu tumne bhi esa kia humare sath? Are baki sabko chhodo mere sath esa kia? Tumhare bade bhai jesa hu yaar mai...

And cabir was back to his drama...all burst out again into fits of laughter. Fab4 were happy watching Manik being Manik again...being notorious, carefree, caring...and all ther servants were had mini - heart attack watching The Manik Malhotra like this...They have never saw him like this not even with Fab4. They were happy too.

The head worked came back with all the listed ingreients and told that the arrangements have been almost done. Manik nodded his head in approval and all the girls followed Nandini in kitchen.

Nandini knew what kids like the most so she thought of making all that things along with some of Fab5's favorate as she knew through Muqti some of likes of them...she started with her cooking along with workers on their toes to work along.

After hardwork of 2 hours lunch was prapared and was getting serevd in the garden.

All of them were desperate to eat as it was 2 in the afternoon and all were hungry and especially kids as nandini made dises were their favorate..

Fab5 except Muqti were shocked to see this much amount of food and that to mouthwatering...the smell was so tempting and seeing their favorate dishes on table was not helping either...

Manik ke man mai laddoo phote being a foodie he is he was too happy to see such food made by Nandini...( future plannings hehe)

From street food to international cusines...all were gaping at the sight...all was so much beautiful and delicious...they sat together and enjoyed a hearty lunch...
