Manan are a passionate couple.. And unfortunately that was missing! Big big time. This was a lost opportunity for the makers, they could have made this reunion so heartfelt, emotional and intense. Instead we get.. God knows what!
Like you said, I felt the apology and proud of you comment was more from Parth to Niti than Manik to Nandini. Which she truly deserves for all the offscreen crap that was thrown at her and the rest of the cast. I liked that bit.
And the bit where she says Manan is forever till stars shine etc... That was a good one too.
And her stopping the kiss... Why oh why?! Had it been me.. And my guy came back from dead and started giving me cold vibes...after a heart to heart, I would be all over him like a rash( in fact before the explanation too... Lol- and I am not the clingy type). I will not keep away from him. That's basic human tendency.
For the writers to pen anything else down is ...just not natural. They probably are having Gajini moments...every few episodes they forget the angst/pain and show the leads going about their merry way. Initially they did that with Nandini and now again with Manan.
I agree that last bit where Nandini will be torn between Arya/Maddy and Manik. Things have changed in 4 months and time for Manik to realize that. But again... It all depends on what kind of treatment the writers are going to dish out. This storyline is still interesting if penned down well.. Else we will see more shoddy scripting.
I still have some hope for Manan. I feel these are probably the initial days after Parths return to the show. They are still trying to find that comfort zone again. It's awkward.. He left.. She had to face crap along with others for no fault of hers...he had to face criticism as well... Fans were not forgiving, And now he is back now. Hopefully they find their groove back (lol) given a good script, that is.
Thats right GypsyRose, Ghajini moments it is. They forgot that for Manik everything is based on trust. When the guys didnt bother to call her in 4 months, and then comes and accuses her of moving on with someone, he is breaking the Manik ethic.
Similarly Nandini is a girl who does not back down from asking questions. Why is she not asking about his hospital stay. The sensible thing she did is to follow him and cling to him, and state clearly then she will not leave him even if he asks her to. and the Manan dialogue.
Opti mentioned there are not dialogue writers right now. So much for dhamakedar entry of Parth, they didn't even have a dialogues written. So its likely that most the stuff is made up by them, which is why you can see in them more Pa and Ni.
In my personal opinion Niti has cried a lot onscreen and offscreen and possibly does not want more crying scenes, she probably wants to do more nok jhok.And Parth only cares for fans and some for team. Which he indicated with the hero dialogue and wink for fangirls, and apology and pride for Niti. Its basically, them. Pani. And not hugging like Manan..that was also Pani.
I agree with you on giving more time, and awkwardness right now. Its like new beginning, so they will take time. Hopefully they will get better screenplay, dialogues and input for their characters.
One thing, they all know they are at the tail end of the show, and that mere presence of PaNi will pull fans to watch it. This is unlike the beginning or middle of the show where they worked hard to prove and establish chemistry, number 1 spot etc. Story will lean to Manan HEA...happy ending which fans are anyways going to watch if PaNi are in. So you see, some amount of complacence has set in. They really don't have to prove any acting skills , story or chemistry at this point. They may care to rekindle old Manan only when its convenient . Show didn't survive well without Pani , so they think show will do well with Pani without rest of the jingbang. Thats what I feel with the number of loose ends they have left. Its not that they didn't have time to plan, makes me think they really don't care. They have worked hard to retain Niti and get PArth back. I think they ( BBC) is done with that. And anyway they got RY as overall story head etc..I don't think beyond this they are going to make new efforts .
