A bright new Sunday morning. nandini opened her eyes with a beautiful smile on her face and saw her love of life smiling at looking at her
m=looks like u saw a beautiful dream
he said and pecked her forehead. nandini nodded in a yes and hugged him tightly.

she blushed and nodded in no

she again blushed and nodded in no. manik smirked watching her turning into red
m=hmmm i can guess ke kya dekha hoga..

she asked innocently. manik smiled and pecked her lips
m=umm i guess tumne dekha hoga, me as always loving u and kissing u and..
she quickly covered his mouth feeling shy and hided her face in his chest
m=what?? let me complete atleast
n=manik tum bhi na..humesha shuru hojate ho.
m=that means my guess was right.
this time she didnt say no and blushed instead which he took as a yes. he pulled her in his embrace and kissed on her hair

at that time nandini's mobile rang.
n=hello, yes dr nandini malhotra.. what? accha.. theek ha i'll be there.
she hung the phone and got up from the bed. manik too got down watching her all in a hurry

n=manik hospital se call tha. its an immergency mujhe jana ha
m=what?? um not letting u go, tumne apni halat dekhi ha? tumhe goli lagi ha and ur talking about going to work no way
n=manik please try to understand, mera jaana zaruri ha or else kya main zid karti? its about a child, woh baccha mera purana patient hain. uske ankle mein operation hua tha, and phirse usse wahipar chot lagi ha. its really serious so i have to go..
m=but..okay but main tumhare sath chalunga, i cant let u go all alone.and dont try to act stubborn with me or else jane nahi dunga
nandini smiled as she knew it was impossible for her to win over him and so she agreed to take him along with her.
after half an hour MaNan started for Nandini's hospital. all the way to the hospital manik saw nandini was tensed and nervous and every now and then praying to her ayippa to keep that child safe and sound
m=jaan relax, uss baccheko kuch nahi hoga

m=kya naam ha bacche ka?
n=neha... she's six years old i guess now. bohot sweet bacchi ha. thori reserved hain kisise baat nahi karti zyada humesha apne teddy ke sath baat karti rehti hain.
manik smiled hearing the cuteness of the child. soon he parked his mercedes in front of the hospital and helped nandini get down. as her wound was still fresh enough manik put a sling around her arm so that it doesnt not hurt her much while working. as soon as nandini stepped inside she saw the nurses and ward boys running here there

nurse=dr nandini, woh choti bacchi neha, kahi mil nahi rahiha.
n=what nonsense.. ek choti baachi kaha jasakti hain? uske per me chot ha na..woh toa chal bhi nahi sakti. yehi kahi hogi..dhundo.

manik comes in nandini's cabin and sits on the couch. he started to read on of the magazines kept on the side table when his eyes caught the blood droplets near nandini's desk. manik found it strange as the blood drops seemed to be fresh. he quietly went near the desk and bent down. what he saw made him smile. a sweet girl of around five or six years old was hiding under nandini's desk. her right anklet was bleeding and she was clutching a soft toy close to her chest.
m=app yaha kyu chupke bethe ho? bahar ajaw..
girl=nahi..mujhe nahi ana ha...bahar sab mereko dhund raheha
m=yes, apko dhund raheha.. apko choth lagi ha na? isiliye dhund raheha taki apke choth par dawai laga sake
girl=mujhe nahi lagwana.. woh sab bohot gande hain, itne bare bare sui, itni gandi gandi dawai khilate hain mujhe. aur dekhna is baar bhi mujhe woh log uss barisi machine ke andar leke jayenge

girl=haa wahi machine. woh jo jisme pata chalta hain ke humare body pe kaha choth lagi ha.
manik giggled as he understood she was trying to describe X-ray machine
m=accha par ap pehle bahar toa ajaw..yaha ese bethe ho. come out
girl=nahi..pehle promise karo, koi mujhe dhundne ayega toa tum mujhe save karoge
m=accha promise. now come out?
manik extended his hand to her and the little tiny fingers entwined with his fingers. manik helped her get out from the under of desk and made him sit on his lap

girl=neha...aur tumhara?
m=manik.
girl=manik?? but jitna mujhe pata ha iss hospital me toa koi manik naam ka doctor nahi ha. tum naye ho??
m=main doctor nahi ho.yeh cabin jiss doctor ka na , main unka husband hu
neha=nandini didi??

neha thought for a while and manik kept on admiring her. then she smiled and nodded in a yes

neha=pata hain isiliye toa chupi hui hu.. tumhe pata ha friend, woh nurse jo hoti ha na, itna bara sa injection leke ayi thi aur woh jo dusri nurse thi gandi wali medicines woh sab chiii.. mujhe nahi lagana ha
m=hmm yeh toa bari problem hogayi but ap yeh bataw ke agar ap treatment nahi karoge then theek kaise hoge? ap jaise pyari bacchi yaha hospital me rahe accha nahi lagta. apke mummy daddy kitne tensed honge apko lekar
neha=mere mummy daddy nahi ha..main toa orphanage mein rehti hu
maniks heart melt for the sweet child. she smiled and clicked her fingers in front of maniks face
neha=dont be sad... main toa bachpan sehi orphanage mein rehti hu.
m=apko pata ha ap bohot acchi ho aur sweet ho
manik kissed her cheek
neha=tum bhi bohot sweet ho friend, nandini didi se zyada
m=lol aur esa kyu?? apki didi bhi bohot sweet ha
neha=ha woh toa ha par didi bohot strict hain... ward me har koi didi se darta hain. woh jab hum patients ko dekhne ati hain toa sare nurse ward boys aur baki ke woh chote wale doctors.. ekdam chup hojate hain
manik laughed how cutely she described the interns as "chote doctors". his eyes fell on her wound and it was bleeding even more. he knew she wont agree so easily to go outside. manik himself decided to convince her to do the treatment. he made her sit beside him on the couch and bought cotton and cold water
m=accha ap yeh bataw, ke apki hobbies kya kya hain
manik started to distract her with his words and luckily she was also busy telling him about her more and more. meanwhile he cleaned the blood for the time being and put a band aid.
m=accha toa apko dance karna accha lagta hain hmm?
neha=haa..but woh jabse mera operation hua tha ankle par, tabse main dance nahi kar sakti.
neha said sadly
neha=didi ne mana kiya tha ke main dance nahi karsakti.
m=apne koshish nahi ki???
neha=kiya tha par bohot dard hua.. gir bhi gayi thi. isiliye didi ne mana kiya tha.
m=apko phirse dance karna hain??
neha=haaa
m=theek ha, apka yeh friend apko promise karta hain ke woh sabkuch karega taki ap phirse dance kar sako

neha happily encircled her tiny hands around manik's neck. manik smiled and rubbed her back gently.

nandini was shouting at her interns as well as the hospital staff for being irresponsible

manik called nandini from behind with neha in his arms. watching neha with manik made her confused but at that moment she kept her thoughts to herself. manik put neha down on the bed.
n=neha tum...
m=koi neha ko kuch nahi kahega.. neha sabse kuch kehna chahti hain
manik gestured her and neha holded her ears with a smile
neha=sorry didi...meri wajase apko bohot tension hua
nandini smiled and kissed her forehead.
n=ap kaha chale gaye the bacche?? sab apko dhund rahe the..apke per me choth ayi hain,.. apko jaldse jald treat karna parega
neha looked at manik helplessly and he again gestured her through his eyes that he would handle everything
m=neha.. ap good girl ho na? apne friend ki baat nahi manoge??? tests karwana zaruri ha na?? chalo jaw nurse ke sath
neha=theek ha friend..tumne bola i'll go.
the nurse took neha with her and then nandini turned to manik
n=manik whats happening???

manik narrated the full story to nandini once they were back in nandini's cabin
n=manik tumne usse promise kyu kia?? tum nahi jante ke uska phirse dance karna.. manik its nearly impossible. woh chal rahiha yehi bohot hain aur tum..
m=jaan i know ke mujhe usse promise nahi karna chahiye tha but main kya karta, thee way she was saying that she misses dancing, main usse sad nahi dekh paya
n=manik i understand but..
m=oar war kuch nahi.tum tension mat lo. neha ka treatment ab meri zimmedari hain. i'll make sure that she gets the best treatment in the worlds best hospital. yeh meri responsibility hain ab.
nandini smiled as she knew once her hubby makes up his mind, he surely does it. she rested her head on maniks shoulder and closed her eyes for sometime.manik kissed her hair as he knew she was very much tired.

manik said with a jerk
n=kya hua???
m=tumne apni medicine nahi liya..ek second.
he took out her medicines from the pocket of his coat
n=tum medicine sath leke aye ho manik seriously?
m=aur nahi toa kya. tum toa apna dhyan nahi rakhti so i have to be careful na??
he carefully put the medicine inside her mouth and then gave her water
n=mujhe apna dhyan rakhenki zarurat nahi parti.. as i have you with me humesha
he pecked her forehead

at night manik and nandini returned home after ensuring neha was okay now. manik had arranged everything for her shifting to the best hospital in London and he himself would take care of everything. once they reached home, they saw cabir, raj, nyonika sitting in the hall with a girl who was facing her back to MaNan.
n=manik yeh kaun ha?
m=i dont know kaun aya hain
watching MaNan approaching cabir smiled and said
c=here they come.
raj=are manik... dekho beta kaun aya ha tumse milne
m=kaun dad?
hearing his voice the girl smiled sweetly and got up from her place and turned around. as soon as she turned there was a million dollar smile in manik's face. he shouted happily
m=OMG !! Veebha.. !!!
saying he ran to her and hugged her tightly.. meeting our bestie after a long time is surely to be one of the best moments of life and this was the case right now for V and manik.
m=god.. tu kab ayi?? aur... what a surprise.. i mean

m=tujhe bata nahi sakta ke tujhe yaha dekke im so damn...i mean best diwali surprise ever V. kitne saal hogaye hain humhe mile hue. I missed u yaar

finally manik turned around and saw her standing behind him at the same place . manik forwarded his hand and she happily put her hand on his.

veebha smiled brightly and gave nandini a warm hug. nandini too smiled and responded to the hug
v=hi nandini.. finally i met u. jabse ayi hu sirf tumhare hi bareme sun rahihu. infact cabir bhi mujhe yaha anese pehle tumhari itni tareef karraha tha ke. and i must say whatever i have heard u are more than it

m=ow please...badnam karneki adat teri hain meri nahi

in a moment the full room was filled with the tom and jerry fights.
nandini smiled watching the oldies meeting each other after ages. she excused herself telling nyonika that she needs to change and went upstairs.

nandini came out of the washroom after a quick fresh up. she sat in front of the mirror and looked at her sling.
n=ab isse kaise kholu? manik ko bulau?? nahi..woh toa neeche veebha ke sath hain.. khud hi try karti hu.
taking a deep breathe she started to open the sling but due to her injury she couldnt open it. suddenly she felt manik's hands against her and in a moment he opened the sling for her. she smiled at him through the mirror. manik sat in front of her holding her hands
m=kar kya rahithi tum? mujhe awaz nahi desakti thi kya? yeh akele kholneki koshish karrahithi.. dard bar jata toah?
nandini smiled and ruffled his hair
n=tum neeche veebha se baat karrahethe toa mane socha ke tumhe disturb nahi karti.
m=seriously??
n=accha sorry.. agese tumhe humesha disturb karungi.
he picked her in his arms and headed towards the bed. while walking
m=tum mujhe kabhi nahi disturb karti...never ever. samjhi? dont ever think or say that.
he put her on the bed and plant a kiss on her forehead.
m=main change karke ata hu.
nandini smiled and kept on admiring him. it was not an unusual thing for her to watch her handsome unbuttoning his shirt while taking out his clothes from the cupboard. but she didnt know why she was blushing today. manik was busy looking for his track pants when he felt his favourite touch on his muscular body. he smirked and turned around putting her hands around his neck
m=agar esehi blush karti rahogi toa main shayed khudko rokh nahi paungaa..
he tucked her bangs behind her ear and planted a kiss on her cheek.

he raised his eye brow and pulled her even more closer
m=kya baat ha? looks like someone is being extra romantic today.

saying she slammed her lips with his. at first manik was taken aback for a moment and he banged to the cupboard.he always loved when she took the lead and she could feel his smirk against her lips. he switched their places and pinned her against the wall . this time he took the lip and entered her mouth. he chewed and nibbled her lips .. it seemed that time had stopped there. he could never get enough of kissing her. and when she decided to start it, nothing could stop him. but still he had kept her health in mind and broke the kiss like after ages.. both rested their forehead against each others and were panting heavily, manik cupped her face and was about to say something when she again pecked his lips and murmured

manik blushed and kissed her eyes

nandini smiled and hugged him tightly and manik too hugged her back

The next morning. nandini opened her eyes feeling thirsty. she looked at manik who was sleeping like a baby holding her close to himself. this look of him always made her blush and fall for him even more. she planted a kiss on his cheeks and carefully moved out of the bed putting her stole in his hands. the weather was pleasant and windy. nandini came downstairs covering herself with a shawl and went to the garden. the fresh smell of the flowers, windy weather ..everything was beautiful
v=coffee??
nandini looked behind and saw veebha standing with two cups of coffee with a smile.
n=good morning.. itni subhah subhah?
v=ha woh...jogging pe gayi thi. phir dekha ke tum garden me bethi ho toa socha ke coffee banalu
n=thanks. betho nah
veebha sat beside nandini
v=wase..kehneko we know eachother because of manik but still lets just be friends ,
nandini smiled and shook hands with her
v=tumhare bareme itna suna ha ke i really wanted to meet u

nandini blushed hearing all those praises from her hubby

nandini thought for a moment and then continued
n=veebha...ek baat puchu?
v=hmm pucho na.
n=bura toa nahi manogi? i mean ke..
v=nandini dont be so formal..come on
n=tumne shadi kyu nahi ki? i mean tum khubsurat ho, educated ho, you have your own company then.. matlab i know ke shayed tumhari koi reason hogi but life me we need someone beside us, a companion then why not u?
veebha smiled and looked at her
v=i can understand ke tum kya kehna chahti ho. nandini life me esa bhi time ata ha ke we dont feel ke we have found someone with whom we can spend our life, with whom we can share our time, our life. shayed mere sath bhi yehi hua.
n=agar main yeh kahu ke tumhare shadi na karneka reason manik ha toa?
veebha stopped sipping the coffee and looked at nandini
n=tum manik se pyar karti ho na ??
veebha didnt know what to say or how to reply. while nandini got her answer from her silence
n=its okay.. i can understand ke tum kya soch rahiho yehi ke achanak se mane yeh sawal pucha aur mujhe kaise pata? right? veebha manik jaisa insaan... har koi usse pasand karta ha chahta hain. mujhe dekho.. itne sare female fans sab uspar marte hain, mere samne sab usse hug karte ha..i know they all love him. and tum toa uski itni acchi dost ho. woh tumhare bareme itna sochta hain, tumhe itna miss karta hain aur kal jab tum dono itne barso ke bad mile, i saw the sparkle, the happiness in ur eyes after hugging him. u seemed to be complete, but there was something missing in ur smile, cause its one sided love?
veebha smile and stood up and started to walk
v=u know nandini..jab hum college me the na, toa manik used to say that um his one and only crush.. main humesha sharmati thi, hasti thi... yeh sochti thi ke meri hasi uska jawab ha. but shayed , maine kehneme der kardi aur usne bhi samjha nahi. ya phir yeh kahu ke shayed woh pasand chahat sirf ek dost ke hesiat sehi karta tha mujhe. main hi pagal thi, but mujhe koi shikayat nahi usse. cause even though hum aj sath nahi ha but phirbhi woh aj bhi mera wahi purana best friend manik ha. aur main uski V, kuch rishte aur kuch bate nandini kahi nahi jati, samjha jata hain. humare case me college me har koi kehta tha ke main aur manik couple ha. we were so busy in our friendship and madness ke humne kabhi seriously nahi liya yeh sab. but deep inside somewhere i knew ke main usse chahti hu , woh mujhe chahta ha but as a friend. and i was a selfish friend not a selfish lover, main apne frend ko nahi kho sakti thi.. aur nahi khona chahti hu. aj bhi manik ke lie mera pyar humare frendship se zyada important nahi ha. nothing compares to our frendship...
nandini placed her hand on V's shoulder and turned her around
n=manik sachme bohot lucky hain that he has a frend like u
v=no um more lucky cause now not only i have a frend like manik but also a frend like u
both smiled and hugged each other
