CHAPTER 49
Manik and nandini came back to the house and saw everyone were still asleep except nyonika who was packing up the things. watching manik and nandini coming she smirked. nandini blushed hard as she was wearing maniks coat to cover herself and the bruises on her body.
ny=hmm so... agaye tum dono
manik and nandini looked at eachother and blushed
m=woh..mom...
ny=bass bass ab zyada kuch kehneki zarurat nahi ha, maa hu main sab samajhti hu and sabse zyada khush tabhi hoti hu jab dekhte hu ke mere bacche itne khush ha
manik hugged his mom
m=love u mom..
ny=love u too... accha ab jaw jaldise fresh hojaw, sab utnehi wale ha. humhe wapas bhi toa jana ha

manik and nandini headed towards their rooms. before nandini could enter the girls room manik pulled her to himself and holded her tightly from her waist
n=manik.. kya karraheho, choro mujhe..koi ajayega
m=sssh..koi nahi ayega, sab so raheha...
n=manik mom ha bahar.. ajayegi..kuch toa sharam karo
m=theek ha chordunga.. par kya ha na mujhe kuch chahiye

he said witha naughty smirk on his face. nandini turned into crimson as she very well knew what he meant. he traced her lips with his thumbs which passed shiver through all her body
m=i really cant get over these..
he said pointing to her lips ..nandini blushed and pecked on his lips
m=isse kam nahi chalega
n=aur woh kyu???
m=mujhe toa regular bara wala dose chahiyee...
n=manik tum bhi nahh
raj=manikkk
raj calls out manik's name and he immediately leaves nandini
m=coming dad...
nandini starts to giggle

manik pecks on her cheeks and leave
after breakfast everybody starts for mumbai bidding away to ams. In the car,
m=kya hua bhai sab itne chup kyu ha??
manik asked while driving.. abhi who was sitting beside him joined along with him

suddenly the car stopped...
ab=dude kya hua??
m=dont know..check karta hu.
manik abhi cabir druv got down...and began to check what happened. after sometimes girls too got down
n=manik kya hua??
m=kuch samajh nahi araha ha.. yeh petrol khatam kaise hogaya?? i mean fuel toa full tha..
a=but hows that possible? i mean..its just been one hour since we started from mangalore
mu=ha bhai..
m=accha tum sab panic mat ho.. i'll call for another car. tumlog andar jakar betho
the security guards of manik came to him.
m=call for another car immediately yeh car kharap hochuka ha.
guard1=yes sir.
nandini's mind hit a question which she wanted to ask before but forgot

n=yeh guards... yeh humesha tumhare sath kyu rehte ha? i mean pehle bhi hote the.. but now security itna strict kyu kia ha dad ne tumhare lie???

SHOT !!!! everybody turned around another SHOT.. before they could realize what was happening there was a scream "MANIKKK!!!!!"

Her eyes were not blinking, not a single tear she had shed . from the last two hours she was sitting infront of her ayippa's idol, her palms drenched in blood, her soul died, she was sitting like a living dead body, not even moving just looking at the idol and only one name on her mouth "Manik"

the doctors passing each other the surgical instruments, nurses running in and out of the operation theater along with blood bags, glucose bottles, cotton balls. outside the operation theater everybody were in a devastated state. nyonika who had almost fainted hearing about manik whereas mukti was collapsed against the wall watching her brother being taken inside the operation theater. Even abhi was not being able to handle mukti. druv and alya pacing from one corner to another trying to control their tension and tears for rest of them.
raj=i dont want anything to hear doctor... mujhe mera beta wapas sahi salamat chahiye.. ap kuch bhi kijiye , i am ready to pay how much u want but mujhe mera manik ekdam perfect chahiye...
doctor=mr malhotra.. we are trying our best. manik ko do goli lagi ha and uska bohot zyada khoon behchuka ha and..
raj=mujhe yeh sab nahi sunna ha..just look at , uski mom pagal hogayi ha, uski behen.. main hum sab pagal hochuke ha ro ro ke..and uski wife.. jo bezuban bebas ki tarah waha mandir me bethi ha.. i dont wanna hear anything.. save my sons life.. thats it
doctor=we'll try our full best..
saying the doctor goes inside the OT. nyonika comes and grabs raj's collar
ny=call surgeons from abroad.. right now.. agar inse kuch nahi hota ha.. then call them. mujhe mera beta ekdam theek chahiye
ab=aunty..sambhaliye khudko
raj=nyonika..please calm down. dekho sab theek hojayega..trust me manik ko kuch nahi hoga
she crashed into his arms. till now raj had been controlling himself but now also burst out into tears. when it comes to manik none was okay, alright. cabir who was standing far away from the OT was watching all this and shedding silent tears. watching his brother fighting inside the OT all alone against death and he was standing there not being able to do anything for him. navya who was with him put her hand on his shoulder

c=janti ho navya... school se lekar abtak, main aur manik humne jo bhi achieve kiya sab sath me kiya. school me, results ke din teacher log ko pata hota ha ke first manik hone wala ha and cabir second. we were always together, humne sab ek sath face kia, challenges, obstacles sab overcome kiya sath me. life ke itne salome we were always together and look, aj mera bhai..waha akela zindagi aur maut se larraha ha and main uske sath nahi hu..i am not being able to do anything for him.. nothing..
for the first time navya saw the notorious, prankstar breaking down in front of her eyes on the floor. she sits beside him and rubs his back

navya points at nandini and cabir looks at her

cabir wipes his tears and walks up to her. he sits beside her and pulls her in a side hug.
c=nandini... behna..kuch toa bolo
nandini slowly looks at cabir. watching her like this in a devastated state made cabir burst into tears again. but she didnt cry or react. she again turned her head towards her ayippa.
c=behna kuch to bol... please nandu..say something

cabir closed his eyes tightly because it was the only thing she was saying continuously after the incident.
ab=cabir...
abhi came and called cabir. cabir gestured navya to be with nandini and he went aside with abhi
c=kya hua?? doctors ne kya kaha?
ab=doctors are assuming ke manik coma me jasakta ha...he's condition is critical.
another shock. cabir began to back off and hit the wall. he looked at nandu
c=nandu ke ayippa...dont do these.. dont test our patience.please sab theek kardijiye
suddenly cabir and abhi heard a scream. it was mukti. they rushed towards the OT and saw she was trying to get inside the OT, druv and alya were stopping her. thank god raj had taken nyonika to the cafe to make her eat something.

After 5 long hours, the doctor came out of the OT. raj, cabir nyonika and mukti rushed towards him

doctor=humne bullets body se nikal diya ha but poison phel geya ha.. we cant really say confidently yet ke woh danger se bahar achuka ha, in the next 8 hours manik needs to open his eyes or else he might slip into coma
nyonika was about to fall but raj holded her . only he knew how he was controlling himself for the sake of his family. mukti holded collars of doctor
mu=just shut up... mere bhai ko kuch nahi hoga. samjhe???? aur yeh apne coma coma lagake rakha ha?? itne bare doctor hokar ap mere bhai ko theek nahi karsakte??

His each and every word, every kiss, those hugs were flashing in front of her eyes. the seven vows they took some hours before, the way showered love on her, his smile and promises which he never broke was her strength. she knew he wont break his promise, her trust and love was more powerful than death.

it was now night and nandini was still sitting in the same position. her eyes had now dark circles and face had become ever so pale. suddenly navya rushed to her. she had tears of joy

na=nandu..manik theek hogaya, usse hosh agaya ha... woh bilkul theek ha aur akhen khultehi unhone sabse pehle tumhara nam liya
nandini still didnt move an inch. after few seconds. she slowly touched her mangalsutra and looked at navya who was smiling with tears. she pulled nandini in a tight hug. nandini still remain like a dead body

nyonika kissed manik's forehead and he gave her a weak smile

c=chup kar saley...dara diya tha hum sabko kitna tune
ab=seriously manik... i can handle you punches but please dude..cant even imagine to handle ourselves watching you like this

he started to cough while getting up. cabir and raj helped him to sit and put a pillow behind him. mukti came running inside the room along with alya who had taken her to the canteen. manik smiled to her and before he could call out her name she crashed into his chest and began to cry loudly. manik hugged her back and rubbed her back
m=mukti... bhai ki jaan, aur kitna royegi???
mukti broke the hug and lighly hit him on his chest

manik realized she was not there.. for whom he had come back, took another birth, the first name he uttered after he had gained consciousness she wasnt there with him. he was scared to even think what might have gone through her in the past hours. everyones expressions went blank. manik looked at cabir and everyone else

they heard the door being open and looked around. she was there standing like a dead body holding her mangalsutra. even though her eyes met his but still she was motionless, emotionless. watching her in this state manik died almost. navya carefully bought her to manik. raj gestured everyone that they should leave the duo alone for sometime as they were each others medicine and so they left the room closing the door behind. manik gently holded her hand and made her sit in front of him

he touched her cheeks.. the bullet shots didnt hurt him that much as much he was being right now watching his own soul in this dreadful state. even though she put her hand on his hand but still she didnt blink her eyes or shed a single tear. manik pulled her in a bone crushing hug and began to cry
m=um sorry jaan...um really sorry for making u like this.. um sorry nandini
she didnt move yet.. manik was now worried as she was not responding to anything. he broke the hug and cupped her face
m=jaan..dekho main hu tumhara manik, um alright...um with u

how he wanted to hear that name from her mouth but his happiness disappeared again when he saw she was not normal yet.. she needed to cry.. and he knew exactly how to break her silence. he pulled her face closer and put his lips on hers. it was not a harsh one, wild one..only a kiss of love. he didnt bit her lip or ask for dominance he just poured out his love for her. at first she didnt respond.. but eventually she felt his touch, yes he was finally with her.. after a long long time, more than 10 hours she felt the same old touch, pleasure, secured embrace of his which she was longing for. she closed her eyes and responded to the kiss. manik felt relief when he felt her responding back though he was feeling tears rolling down her eyes. he didnt break the kiss as he knew she needed to cry , open up her heart. after a long kiss he broke the hug but she didnt let him break it and collapsed herself in his embrace. though she hit the place where his bandages were but still he didnt oppose a single time as he knew what she was going through. after long 12 hours nandini cried .. cried like a baby.. who found her mother, someone who found her existance. he kept on rubbing her back and kiss her hair and utter "I love u ".. hearing those words she clinged even more close to him and clutched his shirt tighter.

she broke the hug and cupped his face.. she was not able to breathe properly or even say a word.both of them wear crying.. she kissed his face madly.. touched his face , chest to make herself believe yes he was actually there and again hugged him tightly.

CHAPTER 50
cabir entered the cabin and saw manik caressing her angelic face and smiling looking at her while she was sleeping in his arms holding him tight as if someone would snatch him from her.

maniks heart pierced into pieces imagining his jaan in that condition . her eyes had become swollen , dark circles under them.

manik tried to put nandini's head on the pillow and release her grip a bit when he felt she was unconscious. he shook her a bit and yes she was faint

nandini opened her eyes and sat up with a jerk.. she was panting heavily looking here and there and found mukti alya navya and nyonika sitting beside her

saying nandini took off the glucose pipe from her hand in a go and before anyone could stop her she rushed to manik's room. the doctor was doing check up of manik when nandini banged and entered the room

nandini looked at manik and ran upto him
doctor=ap yaha kaise??? apko aram karna chahiye
manik gestured the doctor to be quiet and made nandini sit beside him. she hugged him tightly

m=cabir...ap sab jante ho ke we are eachothers medicine... so dont worry i'll handle her. mom please do one thing, ap gharse hum donoka khana la do, you know main hospital ka khana nahi khaunga

It was around midnight, cabir was sleeping on the bench outside the cabin and MaNan were clinged to eachother. nandini was sleeping due to heavy dose of injection and manik was closing his eyes feeling her close to him. suddenly he felt her hands clutching his shirt which meant she was coming back into sense. he caressed her cheeks and kissed her forehead
nandini slowly opened her eyes and saw him smiling at her. she touched his face

she said in a weak voice
m=ssshhh
he put his finger on her lips and again silent tears began to roll down
m=no more tears jaan.. main hoo na tumhara sath???
n=tum,... theek hona??
after the whole accident this was the first time nandini spoke a full sentence
m=jab tum mere sath ho mujhe kuch kaise hosakta ha??
nandini didnt say anything and put her lips on his. this time she kissed him with all her love.. the kiss was saying all her nightmares which she had when she saw him lying down on the stretcher, drenched in blood. she kissed him and carried on kissing him. he let her take the dominance and caressed her chubby cheeks wiping up the tears slowly. after sometime she broke the kiss and kissed his forehead.

finally she pulled the topic which he wanted to avoid. he knew now he wont be able to hide it from her

m=jaan...u trust me na?? so dont ask anything now... time anepar i myself will tell everything to u.tumhe pata ha na main tumse jhoot nahi bolunga?? so trust me okay?

manik smiled and pecked her lips.
m=hungry??
nandini bobbed her head in a yes slowly
manik sat on the bed and made her sit also
m=mom ne khana bheja tha gharse
nandini served food for both of them and then sat beside him. she forwarded a spoon full of soup to manik but he holded her hand and put the spoon in her mouth instead
m=u need it more.. apne apko dekha ha??? mujhse bhi zyada kamzor hogayi ho
she made a cute pout which he pecked immediately
the room was filled with their love, smile and laughs. finally nandini felt herself complete being with him and her happiness was the best medicine for manik
...
Next morning, everybody came early in the morning to the hospital and saw manik was already awake and nandini was feeding him breakfast
ny=manik..how are u feeling beta??
manik smiled looking at nandini
m=much better mom
raj=nandu..beta teri tabyat kaisi ha ab??
n=um also much better dad..thorisi weakness ha theek hojayegi
a=nandini.. hum tumhare lie kapre laye ha..come on, chalo humare sath fresh hojaw

after the ladies left the room, it was only the boys
m=dad..any news????
raj=not yet beta but..
m=i knew it..its like now mujhe hi kuch karna parega
ab=manik chill..tu abhi theekse chal bhi nahi sakta.. teri zakam abhi bhi fresh ha they need time and rest to heal
c=ha manik..hum hai na, we'll handle it
m=no cabir...the reason for which meri family ko suffer hua ha, mukti royi ha.. mom almost fainted and nandini.. i cant sit like this. Harshad , you're surely dead this time.
