Part 5"Nandini, listen to me!" To stop her from going, he swiftly wrapped his arms around her slender waist and pulled her so that her face was just inches away from his. Nandini instinctively grabbed onto his bulky arms for support.
"No, Manik. Cabir told me everything. You only thought about yourself and how you'd become the 'hero', but where was my choice?" She questioned as a flood of tears trickled down her cheeks.
"What about you Nandini?" He questioned, pulling her closer towards him. "You were the one who believed that I was capable of stooping so low. Did you ever once doubt my intentions?" The pain he kept inside of him for 3 years started to erupt like a volcano. "No, right? because you view me as a monster just like everyone else."
"Congratulations Manik, you've finally acknowledged what you are, A MONSTER!" She claimed whilst angrily pushing his arms off her...
**5 days later, Nandini and Manik were still at silent war with eachother. Manik had practically moved into the guest room whilst Nandini took pride in occupying their master bedroom.
After finishing an exhausting day at work, Nandini came home to see Aliya, Cabir, Mukti and Manik rehearsing.
"Hi guys!" She cheerfully greeted Fab 3 but her 'Hi' didn't extend to Manik of course."Where's Dhruv?"
"Dhruv's not here because of you!" Manik furiously reminded her whilst storming out of her sight. Fab 3 empathised with Nandini, nobody wanted to be placed in Manik's bad book.
"Dhruv is refusing to speak to Manik." Aliya claimed. "Don't blame yourself Nandini, Dhruv has other insecurity issues that's coming in the way between him and Manik."
"We'll handle Dhruv. Meanwhile, you should fix your relationship with Manik." Cupid Cabir suggested.
"Where there is no love, how can a marriage succeed?" Fab 3 burst out laughing to her dramatic question.
"Nandini, you're still so oblivious! When we were dating, Manik never looked at me in the same magical way as he looked at you."
"But Aliya, he treated my life like a toy, when he was done playing with my feelings he tried passing me down to Dhruv."
"And it killed him, Nandini. Trust me, I was there to witness the horrible aftermath of your breakup. But Manik never stopped supporting you." Cabir tried justifying his best friends actions.
"What do you mean?"
"Do you remember the fire that happened in SPACE?"
"Of course, I nearly died remember."
"And you would have if it wasn't for Manik." Mukti abruptly interrupted.
Nandini was deeply confused, having been unconscious throughout the whole event, she didn't exactly remember who rescued her.
"What? I was told that I was rescued by the fire brigade."
"Manik rushed back into the fire as soon as he saw that you were not brought out to safety. He put his own life at risk just to carry you out of the fire."
"But..why would he do such a thing?" Nandini cried as feelings of guilt engulfed her mind.
"Because he loved you damnit...!" Cabir exclaimed...
*Mr Malhotra's office*
"The deal is off. I don't care if you take Island records away from me anymore. Fab 5 and I are talented, we can get signed by other labels." Manik snapped.
"Son, you and I both know that the success of Fab 5 relies on Island records."
"But nothing can be worser than living an everyday nightmare with Nandini Murthy. Dad, she's the root to all my problems!"
"Let me propose another deal to you then. It's a deal that you must keep to yourself." Mr Malhotra tried reasoning with his son. "Successfully complete 3 months of your marriage. Then you will have the option to divorce her whilst still being signed to Island records."
Although it killed him to have to tolerate Nandini for 3 months it was better than a life long commitment.
"Okay, fine." Manik agreed knowing that he was offered with his fathers best version of a deal.
"But you have to demonstrate to me that you can be responsible. This includes fulfilling all the duties of a husband and treating your wife like a Queen."
The deal was sealed and Manik was on a mission to take on the responsibilities of his 'temporary' wife...
