"Navya,are you mad"I asked in disbelief "What are you saying? These are green chillies "I said pointing towards the plate lying in front of cabir.

But Navya was too adamant to get her wish fulfilled.

"Punjabi munda hai Cabir aur punjabiyon ki shaan vakhri , shuru ho ja bro"Manik said patting Cabir's back.

"Manik ,are you crazy"I couldn't believe that Manik and navya could get so harsh with Cabir.

"Let it be nandini"Cabir spoke with a dejected expression "I will do it"

"Cabir...no"I said but he had already inserted a chilly in his mouth.

"Bas Cabir,I was joking yaar.Leave it "Manik said as he saw Cabir eating another chilly.Water was already flowing from his eyes .

But Cabir s gaze was fixed at navya who sat across the table, expressionless. with her hands folded on her chest.

"Cabir,come with me,you dont need to do this"Manik insisted ntrying to snatch the plate from him.

"Manik,tu jaa yahan se"Cabir said pushing him with his hand,his gaze still locked with Navya as he kept on eating green chillies one after the other though his mouth was burning .

"Navya please stop him.Look at his eyes..."Cabir's eyes had gone red and his face was wet with tears."stop acting like a heartless person navya"I pleaded.

I rubbed my temple as I felt my eyelids were getting heavier.I almost lost my balance and was about to fall but Manik rushed towards me and held me.
