Chapter 6(a): Party Time!

Nandani's dress for the party:
We were in the car on the way to farmhouse. Madhyam has kept the party there. I had wore a black dress for the party, Mukti has chosen it for me. So, without thinking twice, I wore it. Me, Mukti and Navya were in one car and Madhyam, Cabir and Aliya were in another. Many school friends of ours were also coming in the party. I should have been excited for the party as it was my first party after coming back and I would be meeting my old friends but it was not so, I was not at all interested in this party. Maybe because Madhyam has organized it and he would be planning something for me, but I knew it already that I had to face it, then what? Maybe because of afternoon's incident. I was busy with my thoughts when Mukti poked me, I looked up and saw her with questioning eyes. She pointed towards Navya with her eyes. I looked at Navya and I saw that poor girl sweating badly. I asked, "Navya! Kya Hua? AC ka temperature kam krwau?" "Nandu hme bahut darr lg rha h..", she replied.
"Navya mene tumhe ghar pe bhi smjhaya tha.. Tum pheli baar Kisi party me Ni ja rhi Ho.. So chill. Okay?"
"Lekin yeh un parties Ki tarah Ni h. It's a Royal party! Nandu hme bahut nervousness Ho rhi h.."
I gave her a water bottle and asked her to drink it, "Navya yeh pani pio.. N chill !! M with you.. Kuch Ni hoga.."
"Ya Navya! Chill yar.. Itna darogi toh schme kuch hojayega..", Mukti mocke at herd..
Finally we reached our destination. I was about to go in with NavTi (Navya and Mukti), when Madhyam's car also came. They also came to the entrance. Madhyam came towards me and did all the things which will irritate me, that is, checked me out, smirked at me and slid his hand at my waist offcource to show-off in the party. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, black rugged jeans and a black shining blazer. We all went in. The hall was dim lit where the party was going on. The hall was decorated with blue and black decorations. I really liked the theme of the party, Madhyam's choice is not that bad. Some people were on the dance floor, some were only gossipingatd the corner. I could smell the alcohol around me. As soon as we enter, we grab everyone's attention. I could recognize some of the faces.
After some time..
Me, Madhyam and Aliya were standing with some of our friends. God knows where Cabir and Mukti were. "But Nandani why didn't you even return for once? Six years.. It's a long time yrr..", Ananya asked me. I was about to answer but Mia interrupted me, "Oh common Ananya! Jo bhi kuch Hua 6 saal phele.. Uske baad vapis Ana it's not that easy yrr..". Yes, this girl Mia never leaves a chance to irritate me because I am her biggest crush's fianc but kaash kaash I could tell her that I have no interest in her Madhyam. "Don't worry about me Mia I am not that weak.", I replied. "But thank god u came, I mean tumhari vajah se toh hmsubka reunion possible hopaya h..", Aryaman said cheerfully. Aryaman was a nice guy, I have always liked his personality. He was one of the few close friends of Fab- 5.
"Yeah.. Acha Hua bhai apne yeh party rkhi.. Jab mene apko Nandani ko surprise dene ke liye bola tha.. Tb toh apne mana krdiya.. N ab chup chup se yeh partyplane krli.. Not bad haan..", Aliya tease Madhyam.
Mia spoke excitedly,"Haan! As soon as I got the call from Madhyam regarding this party, I was so excited to meet him.. (Realising what she said), aah..h.. I mean I was excited to meet you all."
"Ya ya! We know..", Sakshi said sarcastically. Sakshi knew about Mia's crush on Madhyam but knowing that he's my fianc she tried to change the topic, "So Nandani, now that you are back, so tum dono ka kya scene h..? I mean tumhara or Madhyam ka.."
"What do you mean?", I asked. I was really hating this topic of ' Me and Madhyam ' going on.
"Are mtlab tum donon ka shaadi vaadi ka plan h abhi ya Ni.."
Madhyam was about to say something but Cabir came and cut him, "Abhi toh Nandu ayi h.. Or tum log uski shaadi ke peeche pd gye Ho.. I don't think so Ki inhe abhi shaadi ke bare me sochna bhi chahiye..", Madhyam was glaring at Cabie.
"Hey bro! Kahan tha tu haan? Good to see you man..", Aryaman came and hugged Cabir. Cabir reciprocated it happily "Bus Vo ek important call aagyi thi.."
. "Cabir meri aur Nandani Ki shaadi ke baare me tumhe chinta krne Ki zarurat Ni h.. Vo hm dono decide krlenge..", Madhyam said furiously.
"And he's my childhood best friend Madhyam! And he has full right to think about me and my life..", I replied.
Madhyam came near me and spoke, "But Nandani I will really appreciate Ki koi bhi hum dono ke beech ni bole.. I want these matters should be between YOU and ME, and should be decided by YOU and ME only." I rolled my eyes. Cabir was about to say something but I gestured him to stay quiet.
"Aww.. Being possessive haan Madhyam..", Ananya commented.
Madhyam replied looking at me, "Aisi cheezon ke sath possessive Hona hi pdhta h.." And then smirked. Cabir made him look at him and then said angrily, "Vo koi cheez Ni hai Madhyam..".
I realised that if not stopped now, this argument will turn into a war. So I intervened inbetween, "Cabir! Chl na.. Kuch peene ke liye leke ate h.. M thirsty.."
"Yelo Nandani.. Hm drink laye h tumhare liye..", I heard Navya. I looked at her direction, she had just came with Mukti.
"Vese yahan Ho kya rha tha?", Mukti asked.
"Nothing much..", I replied. I further asked, "But tum dono the kahan itni der?"
"Vo jahan bhi the Nandani.. The pointisf that now they are here.. Really missed u Mukti..", It was Aryaman this time.
"Ya guys! I mean we really missed you guys.. Fab- 5.. Kitna time hogya tum logon ko gate hue sune..", Ananya said sadly.
That Mia again spoke, "Hmn.. Fab- 5 toh famous tha hi.. But how can we forget (Looking towards me) our one and only 'Manan'. Kyu Nanadani? Dekho I know Jo Hua Sai Ni tha.. But chahe kuch bhi kehlo.. U guys were made for each other." I tried to shut her up with my reply but my lips were not helping me. Suddenly this Manik topic made me weak and I was hating it. But Madhyam replied instead of me, "Exactly Mia! They WERE made for each other.. But now Nandani has moved on. And I will not bear her name attached to that 'Manik' anymore after what he has done." I wanted to say this only but don't know why it has hurt me when Madhyam said that. Mia was taken aback by Madhyam's reply as her plan backfired on her only. And Cabir was controlling his anger as he didn't want to create a scene.
"But Cabir, Mukti tum log us se touch me ho kya? Kya ab Fab- 5 kabhi reunite Ni hoga? I want you guys to perform again yrr!", Sakshi said.
I looked in other direction maybe to control my tears. Just a little conversation about him was making me so vulnerable that I am not even able to say something..
Then finally I managed to say something, "Guys! Just excuse me..". And I went from there by saying this.
I was on the terrace of the farmhouse. Wind was blowing making my hairs falling on my face. But I was not worried about that. I was in my own world. The conversation down there about HIM was making me weak AGAIN. I thought that it would not be that difficult, I will face the reality. But no! It's not that easy.. A fight was going on within me.. Between my brain and heart.. What my brain says, it's right but my heart's wordsweree also not wrong. I had to be strong but how? And top of that Cabir wants to reunite Fab- 5 and that means I had to accept Manik in my life again.. Which I just can't! But than what's the future of Fab- 5? Will we never be the same again? All for one and one for al?. Why Manik ??? Why did youdo that ?? Everything changed! We, our friendship, our bond, our LIFE, everything CHANGED!!
"Hello bby!", I heard Him! Yes.. I was so ingrossed in my past life thoughts that I almost forgot about my present problem. I looked back, and there he was standing with one hand in his pocket and a drink in his other hand, MADHYAM SINGHANIA!

Manik was sitting at the window humming a tune. He was seeing the stars, these stars define their love, yes His and His Nandu's love. These stars have seen their love blossom. They have talked for hours under these stars only. His stars and her fireflies were the living proof of their never ending love.
"Kaash Nandu! Kaash jo kuch Hua me use Badal pata.. If I will be given one chance na, I will change our horrible past, me Kuch bhi karunga Nandani, kuch bhi! But patahai kitnii achi yaadein bhi h hmare paas, sbse acha toh Vo din tha jab hm mile the.. FOR THE FIRST TIME.."
Mukti, Nandani and Cabir were childhood friends and Manik, Cabir and Dhruv were also best friends since their birth. But Manik and Nandani didn't knew each other. They have met on social gatherings or Royal parties but never really interacted. But our love birds met when Nandani decided to join in SPACE with Mukti in 11th standard. Rest of the people were already studying in space.
SPACE was decorated as the new session was going to start today. There were no classes today. It was the day when friends meet and update each other about their holidays and new comers make new friends. The school was full of new energy. Lots of chit chatting, Masti, party was going on. But everything and everyone stopped when they hear our Rockstar's voice, yes our one and only MANIK MALHOTR!. He was standingonn the stage, his back was facing the audience. Everyone could hear his guitar strumming. On drums, there was Cabir and on piano there was Rose. And the second guitarist was Dhruv. Manik started singing and everyone cheered for their school's rockstar.

He sang these lines closing his eyes. And at the same time Nandani enters the SPACE through main gate with Mukti.

He came face to face with the audience and his guitar and his voice has forced every ear to hear him. He started singing like a Rockstar with not leaving a single beat with his guitar.

Manik came down from the stage to the audience and sang. Here, Nandani was busy admiring the college.

Nandani and Mukti were on the first floor now and down in the ground Manik was singing.
Raatein kati aahen bhar kar
Guzre hai din jaise koi sazaa
Chahat hai dil ki tu ab jai mil
Kabse rahi hai teri yaadein sataa...
Nandani was amazed to hear such a good singer. She tried to saw his face from upstairs but couldn't. And here Manik was fully engrossed in his song and dancing with the Audience.

Seene mai rehte hai aarmaan tere
Alfaz banke tu hotoon mai aa...
When Nandani was trying to see Manik's face, Mukti poked her to show her something the other side and then they started talking.

Manik was now in full feel and the audience were going gaga over his song.

Nandani and Mukti were talking and due to wind, Nandani was disturbed by her hairs. She tried to remove them from her face and then by mistake her music tie bracelet fall down on Manik's shirt. Nandani was unaware of it and went with Mukti to see the rest of the school.
Jis din tu mujhe mil jayegi
Thum jayegi meri aawargi...
Awaargi Awaargi...
Manik take that music tie bracelet in his hand and smiled looking at it. He looked upwards to see who's bracelet is it but he couldn't see the girl's face and soon she disappeared.
The falling of Nandani's Music tie bracelet on Manik's shirt start their story. Story of eternal love, story of friendship, their story of MUSIC!
