Chapter 2

Nandani went to school the next day feeling rather strange. Rishab seemed to really like SPACE academy. He disappeared soon as they reached the gates. Her first class dragged by. She felt hand on her arm as she was on her way to her next class. It was a girl who unlike the rest of the girls wore a dress. In a pretty blue dress with little flowers. Nandani wondered why she was able to dress so openly in this place.

"You are new?" she asked reaching out and touching her hair, she frowned at it in distaste. Nandani could not blame her, compared to the girl's shinny tresses that reached down her back, her hair was nothing.

"Yes" Nandani said.

"Hum dono dhost bansakti agar tu meri bhai se dhoor raho" She said placing an arm around her shoulder. Nandani looked at her questioningly.

"Mukti Malothra" She said holding out her hand. Nandani took it.

"Nandani" She said softly, Mukti led her to the lunch room.

"I have class now" Nandani said, but half-heartedly she hated physical education.

"Let's go somewhere else"

"But"

"Oh my family owns the school you won't get in trouble"

Nandani's eyes widened. She was Manik's sister.

"Tum uss Manik ki behen hoo?" She asked incredulous. They looked nothing alike.

"Yes, you met Manik?" She asked her.

Nandani nodded feeling a little bit weary.

"He would take interest in you" Mukti said looking at her up and down.

"What?"

"He likes them innocent" Mukti said rolling her eyes.

"Why is everyone so afraid of him?"

"Every girl falls in love with him"

"Mukti can I borrow Nandu from you for one minute" Manik said creeping up from behind her. Nandani frowned at him.

"Mera naam Nandani hai" Nandani said shaking her head at him.

"From the first time I saw you, I keep think about you"

"Please continue after I leave" Mukti said with a disgusted look on her face.

"Come with me please" He asked softly Nandani rolled her eyes at his fake niceties.

"Over my dead body" Nandani said waking up to leave.

"Maine tumhe idjasat nahi di marne ki, so you cannot die anytime soon"

"You don't own me"

"Come with me now, you either shut your mouth and come like a good girl or... else I will use force on you" Nandani took a step back and tried to pull away from him. His face was dead serious he grabbed her roughly and slung her over his shoulder.

Nandani hit him on his back unaware of where they were suddenly enveloped my darkness he put her down and she heard a click.

"Hum kaha hain?" Nandani asked her voice shook as he switched on the lights they were in the store room. She quickly went to the door and tried to open it.

"Store room, koi faida nahi hai maine darwaza band kiya" He said walking slowly towards her. He caged her with his palms resting on the door and grabbed her head roughly brushing his lips onto hers. Nandani tried to pull away but he was stronger than her he kept her head in place. She tried to keep her mouth closed.

When finally let go of her he leaned his forehead onto her own.

He smirked as he took in the sight of her flushed cheeks and bruised lips.

He leaned in again and pressed his lips against her neck his other hand lowering towards the rest of her body.

Nandani pushed him away.

"What the hell" He said annoyed.

"Please don't" Nandani said pushing at his chest.

"Why should I stop?"

"Please I will do anything, just don't..." Nandani begged.

"Anything?"

"I promise"

"Kiss me"

"Kya?"

"Kiss me and I will let you go"

Nandani closed her eyes and then opened them again.

She shakenly leaned forward and brushed her lips on his cheek.

"If you obey me like this, we won't have a need to ever come back to this room again. But if you make me angry then I will not hesistate"

"I-i-i-I will obey you"

"You will be with me until I say otherwise every day from now on wards." Manik said

"You will do only what I tell you" He said after a second.

RING.

His phone rang. He let go of her and moved away.

"I am coming" he said into his phone.

"For now you are free"

"I will be seeing you later, don't let Mukti corrupt you because I want to"

Nandani felt him leave and she sunk down onto the floor into curled ball.

Mukti slidered into the chair next to Nandani.

"So what happened with Manik?" Mukti asked casually popping some gum into her mouth.

Nandani told her the whole sordid tale leaving out the store room wrinkling her nose.

"Basically you are his girlfriend" Mukti said blowing a bubble with her gum.

"I don't want to be his girlfriend"

"So you are his unwilling girlfriend?"
