AN: I know a lot of you are swearing me after posting this up so late. I am sorry. I just got so busy.
Today after a few months I saw Manik is back in KY2 so in excitement after watching this episode I wrote this chapter please leave a review or a like down below thank you.
Chapter 1
10 months earlier
Nandani stood near a bench with her luggage next to her on the floor she held her bags firmly and looked around for her chachaji and chichiji.
Her little brother Rishab kept fidgeting with his water bottle. Nandani reached out and poked him.
"Sit still Rishab" She said shaking her head at him. She was more of a mother to him then an elder sister.
"Nandu" She heard someone call her name, turning around she was greeted by her chachaji and chichiji.
"Namaste Chachaji chachiji" Nandani said and bent down to take their blessing her pushed Rishab forward towards them and he did the same.
"Nandani look at how beautiful you have become" Her chachiji complimented but her face bared no smile. Nandani had heard that Klairmint was a weird place, women had to wear clothing with long sleeves and never show bear skin. She had worn a long sleeved salwar kameez to be on the safe side.
"Let's go home it's not safe out like this" Her chachaji said looking around suspiciously. Nandani and Rishab followed them to their car. She stared out the window on the ride to their house. She would never have dreamed of even visiting such a crime encroached place as this but this was her only choice left if she wanted to look after Rishab.
After her parents death child protection services wanted to shift them to homes but her father's brother had said they could either move to Klairmint with them or live at the homes. But the thing was that at the homes they would have been separated and she could not be separated from her only family she had at the moment. She would finish school and take Rishab and move away she planned silently.

The house her chachaji and chachiji lived in was a small liitle face brick house with old tattered windows. They gave her and Rishab a room to share. It was old and probably not cleaned for years. Nandani changed in the bathroom unable to bear the heat of the long sleeves any longer into a short sleeved salwar kameez and fanned herself as she went into the room. Rishab was engrossed in his Gameboy. She went to the window and gave it a hard push when it would not open.
It made a loud noise.
Thud.
Nandani coughed as some dust flew into her face mixed with fresh air she felt a prickling sensation and looked down straight into a pair of black inky eyes. She had never seen eyes so dark and menacing before in her life nor had she seen such beauty.
The owner of the beautiful dark eyes was a boy, he looked around her age. He had on a vest and sweatpants with a basketball in his hands. There was a few others with him but she did not notice them. He stared at her unflinching.
Nandani immediately moved away from the window in an adrenalin rush.
She went nowhere near it until it was diner time and she wanted to close it when she did he was still there this time all of his friends were gone.
The intensity of his eyes scared her. She quickly closed the window and went downstairs to eat.

The week had been uneventful. She had never seen the beautiful eyes again. The start of school dawned and Nandani wished she could just stay at home as she dressed for it. She tucked her hair into a stiff plait and wore the unappealing clothing her chachiji had bought her.

The school was approximately down the road from her house but women were not allowed to walk the streets in Klairmint so they went by car, nor were they allowed to go to school but she had gotten in because of her grades.
"Nandu zyaada kisi she bath math karna" Her chachiji warned her as she left the car. Rishab looked excited for his first day. He stood next to her and smiled brightly as they walked in.
Nandani sighed her way to her first class. Rishab had somehow already vanished into the school. She finally found her class and entered it was weird. She felt as if she was in an American school. The class was loud perhaps louder than any of her classes back home. She stood at the door and peered in cautiously. She was unsure if she should wait for the teacher then enter.
She felt someone brush past her in a leather jacket and some jeans. It was him the man-boy with the beautiful eyes. He did not seem to notice her and sat down at the back of the class.
The teacher soon came in and looked at her with disdain. So did pretty much any female at this collage.
"Come in" She said and motioned for her to find a place. She sat down at the front and kept her eyes in front of her.
"Class we have a new student Nandani Murthy who is from Bangalore" The teacher introduced reading of her details from a file.
"Manik please at least get your feet off the table" She said shaking her head at him with a small smile.
"My family built the school I can put whatever I want here "He said. Nandani turned and looked at him.
His name was Manik.
She noted it and turned back quickly before he noticed her starring.
Someone nudged her with a note.
Nandani unfolded the paper it was from the boy next to her with thick glasses. It had the word written in a messy handwriting.
Hey. My name is Madhyam.
She wrote back to him.
Nandani. As if he had not just heard her name.
After class he followed her to her next class.
"So what do you think of Space" He asked her gesturing to the atmosphere.
"It's different" Nandani said unsure how to answer.
"Don't worry I am from Kolkata this place feels so strange at first I moved here 3 years ago"
"Oh so what's this school like?" Nandani asked peering into her bag.
"Nandani" She looked up at the sound of her name it was him.
Manik.
Madhyam looked at her incredulous and silently moved away when Manik just looked at him.
"Don't walk around with boys" He said with a strange look in his eyes.
"Why?"
"God said so"
"When did bhagwan say so?" Nandani asked looking at him strangely.
"Abhi kaha phir se kehna parega?" He told her, Nandani's eyes widened.
Nandani turned to walk away he grabbed her hand in iron clad like grasp.
He was ridiculous calling himself god.
"Mera pass time nahi hai bhakwas soone kah" Nandani said trying to pull her hand away.
"Aaj kyu ki tu naya hoon mein zyaada pareshaan math karungi lekin kal se paka jawaab tumhe doongi, mera baath maan ladke se door rehna muje gusa math karna" He said softly in a calm voice. Nandani walked away when she turned to look at him he was still standing there starring at her.

Nandani saw Madhyam in the library later that day. He looked at and then looked away.
"Nandani hum dono dost nahi ban sakti" He told her.
"Kyu?"
"Manik ki vajase, voh bahut ameer hai uska baap ka school hai yeh..."
"Tum use itna kyu daarthi?" Nandani asked astounded.
"Nandani, you know how when we are kids we played with dolls and action figures, Manik plays with humans."
"I am not afraid of him" She said.
"Well I am, I am sorry Nandani" Madhyam said and left. Nandani went for the next few classes in a daze.
Suddenly after her conversation with Manik. Nobody spoke to her. What had she gotten herself into? She wondered as she went home.
