Manik & Nandini - Stars & Fireflies 63

The hardest battles are fought between heart and mind.. That place between a yes and no, fire and ice, heaven and earth where you want to listen to your heart but your mind always interferes.. It's these moments when we made the most crucial decisions of our lives.. Manik and Nandini were also fighting one such battle... Their hearts wanted each other or rather craved for each other but their minds they just spoke other way... Manik's years of darkness and regression stopped him from seeing the light of love which was standing right in front of him whereas Nandini's heart was hurt too badly to fight with her mind which refused to see beyond Manik's betrayal..

Alya's hug took Manik by surprise and by the time he got back after freeing himself from her arms Nandini was gone.. Manik looked all around and realized even DJ was gone.. He was disappointed he wanted to talk to Nandini and at the same time he was disturbed thinking the events of the morning.. "What got into me? Why did I kissed her and why do I loose myself every time she's in front of me?" All these questions were haunting Manik and he had no answer or maybe he had answer just didn't wanted to accept it...

Nandini's condition too was same as her Romeo.. She was sitting in the canteen thinking and rewinding the events of the morning... After several hours of thinking when her brain was tired she closed her eyes to relax herself and find peace...But where was peace "Music.." She thought.. She ran into her music room and picked up her veena and started to play.. But it seemed even the strings of veena and the music they made were not helping her.. The events from the morning came back to haunt her.. Despite al her logic she couldn't escape the fact that she loved it when Manik touched her, she felt alive in that moment.. "Why do I feel good about it? Why do I feel that I wanted him to kiss me and touch me? Why do I loose myself in front him?" And like Manik Nandini too had the answers to all these questions but her mind won't just let her accept it..

As Nandini sat all confused in the music room a feather like touch brought he back to reality and broke the chain of her thoughts... It was Abhi.. "Oh hi.." Nandini said and Abhi was curious to know what's going on in her mind... "What's up nandu?" he made himself comfortable right next to her.. "What nothing.." Nandini replied trying to avoid to look into his eyes but Abhi was not convinced "Come on Nandini.. I have been watching you since you came back from Manik's room in the morning.. Spill it out right now.." Nandini knew she can't hide it from Abhi so she told him everything and expected him to blast off and scold her for going off track with the plan but to her surprise Abhi started laughing.. Nandini thought "Yeh sach mein pagal hai.." "Why are you laughing like this?" She was hell confused.. "Arre mere brother ki dulhan what should I do? You guys just can't control yourselves na.. Bas akele chora do din and third day you guys are kissing and making out.." Abhi was not stopping making Nandini blush and embarrassed...

Meanwhile even Manik was sitting in the Fab5 jam room and trying to play when Cabir walked in sensing his troubles.. "So Manik what's up?" He asked.. "What nothing?" Manik tried to cover up.. "Oh come on we know each other since junior KG so stop pretending..." Cabir was bang on and Manik need to let it all out too so he narrated the whole incident to Cabir... "I don't know Cabir what got into me i just couldn't stop myself.." "I know Manik what got into you.." Cabir said "What?" Manik looked at him in search of answer.. "High levels of testosterone.." and Cabir burst into laughter.. "Cabir.." Manik shouted and ran behind him.. "It happens Manik when the person we love comes in front of us our hormonal levels shoots up and a chemical imbalance called love happens in heart..Quite natural my boy.." He said and ran away leaving Manik Malhotra blushing ad smiling.. A few seconds later Cabir peeped in the room again and said "Waise hats off to Nandini for making you blush." And ran off again...

Soon it was the time for rehearsals and they all assembled in the audi and unlike the previous days Manik and Nandini were stealing glances and blushing especially Manik.. "Ok guys today we will rehears Love Story.." Dj announced an asked the actors to take position.. Her announcement made Manik uncomfortable but he did not say anything and sat down to watch with Cabir and Dhruv taking their positions right next to him and they signaled DJ to start the proceedings..

They started off with the scene where Jeeny would be walking down the stairs while talikng to some and Oliver would be climbing the stairs and Jenny would slip and Oliver would catch her.. Intitally DJ showed them how the scene will play out and asked them to rehearse for it.. Manik was enjoying Nandini as Jenny.. She was just the way he had pictured her to be.. soon the great fall sequence came and Nandini fell straight into Abi's arms sending Manik straight into jealous mode... DJ added fuel to the fire by saying "Guys I didn't like the way Jenny walked and fell..Let's do this again.." Manik was angry but had no choice...

They started the rehearsal again with Jenny or rather Nandini falling into Abhi's arms.. Cabir commented "Wow Jenny what a fall.." and Manik finches his arms and gave Cabir an angry look.. But to poor Manik's plight DJ said "Oliver is this the way you will hold a girl.. Hold her with your passion as if she's your life.." They restrted and this time Abhi held Nandini so tightly that even she felt breathless and she looked upto Manik and that was the last nail in the coffin... "That's it enough of the rehearsals.." Manik walked upto the stage and took a little breathless Nandini in his arms and walked out...

Y i have a feeling that next update is going to be scary like manik and nandinis fight lije something my six sence will make me crazy one day andPLZ PLZ MAJE NANIK SUFFER ALOT i cant forget what he did to nandini even after seeing his jealousy mode and all i want him to bear so much pain like seriously.
