@Box- Alya is a non issue but Nandu's basic compassion and because she warned him about Dhrulya might lay foundation for that opening, if Alya's condition flares up . Manik will regret and Nandu will talk . Might have a conversation about Manik-Alya thing in general and how it started for MaNan as well. It's tough because Alya is such a non-issue but her falling sick will change many things for a lot of them.

ohh yeah... that was a real ...breath of fresh air...I had seldom seen anything even close to that before.

this is where i got doubts...did the crew ppl say hold her left hand now...slide ur head right...now its fingers to be held...etc etc..basically the mechanics or the choreography ..wateva!!

Musicana fireflies confession is a good example- he doesn't want to 'waste time talking' but he also wants to hear what she thinks of him. Also that head massage scene from the Soha track.
I think his general CURIOSITY about everything concerning her helps things a lot, as in, he will talk if he wants to know what's going through her mind or if he senses that it is important to her in some way. So realistically they can ask when they were first attracted to each other, while addressing this general question of physical intimacy.
Problem is that Alya has always been such a non-issue between them- Diwali and Musicana were the only two times her name came up, and both times he clarified it asap. So, dunno. It would still be nice if they could manage to pull it off somehow.

Point👍🏼...You're bang on about that...his general CURIOSITY about all things Nandu is what gives impetus to bring about these convos...the moment he senses that something matters to her or something is bothering her, he is willing to go the distance to talk, hear out everything.

See sometimes they do such a good job of looping in everything from teasing, humor to poignancy into their convos SO naturally that that becomes an expectation...still I feel wary about hoping they can nail that combo each time...

Also true, Alya has always been a non-issue b/w them but that feels deliberate from the writers...they deliberately keep Alya on the periphery and away from Nandu...she's only brought in either to be snooty or obtuse when it comes to Nandu...they keep her seperate equation with Manik intact by showing her bringing up their past from time to time...they deliberately don't want to touch the Alya issue...they've made it a non-issue when they could possibly address it in a mature convo as well...but they like to keep things compartmentalized and seperated on that front.

Waise don't you wonder on some level if Manik himself even KNOWS when it all started for him? His feelings were SO muddled up and hormones were riding high in those days...however do you untangle that jumble and talk about it?? Talking about the all too clear cut realization seems easier anyday😆

Couldn't agree more! the change & development of manik is clearly apparent & what a pleasure it is ... Also no longer hearing that famous line of his that it's his fault & he should have been there for his freinds but he was too busy in his own world meaning with nandini .. I remember the amount of times we heard that from his & used to hate it thinking how hurt nandini must be hearing him say those words ... But now there is no longer this regret he's finally found the balance between his friends & love & that now is a pleasure to see 😊

long, sappy conversations toh nahi, thank god, but he likes to communicate with those that matter to him...I guess that's what matters, right?

Agreed that Manik is not one for sappy long-winded talks and it's one of the things I like about him...direct and matter of fact he is.

At the same time, the point here is kinda addressing some thoughts/feelings in the flow of things without making that convo an EVENT...it doesn't even have to be long-winded...just meaningful and natural...that is what has made their convos special so far anyways.

@They get the writing transitions so right by having teasing to poignancy in one flow. But the subject should be strong enough. Alya's health will impact Manik- the guilt, more than Nandu , I feel he will open up in general about it , with Nandu consoling him.

@Bold- I doubt he knows when it started for him, he was long gone- i think the attraction probably hit during accident kiss but his obsession was something that just started from the moment she stopped him from egging Navya- lines kinda kept muddling for him. I don't think he or even us can pinpoint the exact moment when he fell for her, it sort of flowed . He was curious and that led him towards Nandu like a moth to a flame.

Talk about "one track mind", haha this boy is forever in one track mind zone 😆 I just love how he never leaves a stone unturned or an opportunity to tease Nandini, they be forever ❤️

And their realization and acceptances on how and when they fell in love, what a coincidence that their realization came from fear of loosing one another... I thank god for sending Soha 😆

That also is very true, understated rakhna would be more impactful..like it was when nandu talked about her parents..it just happened..

MaNan already have problems galore, i think the CVs just didn't want to add to the confusion by bringing in the Alya issue on top of it. The ghosts of that relationship were very conveniently saved for DhruLya. Anyway, it was clear from Day-1 that Alya was more into Manik than he was into her- he had more feelings for Dhruv, in fact. 😆

@bold: I suppose that's where introspection and character growth comes in. He might never have given it a thought because in his head he's clear that his interest in Nandini came AFTER breaking up with Alya. He never understood Alya's insecurity to begin with. But this bulimia thing might make him think if he could have done some things differently.

Anyway, I like thinking about all these side-tracks in terms of MaNan only, such a waste otherwise. 😆

@Bold- Yes!! He gets guilty whenever Alya talks about them, he has a sense about it but I don't think he gets it because to his mind he became more expressive or accepted his feelings for Nandu only after his break-up with Alya.
Actually it was his convo with Dhruv before Raghav's b'day where he tells the latter that he thinks he should move on from the past relationship. So in his head, that was where he started reciprocating or actively pursued Nandu in romantic sense.

I want a Jeena Jeena reprise and I want that moment with MaNan , which is why Alya must fall sick and guilty Manik talking with Nandu consoling be nice. 😳
