CHAPTER 6

hey guys i'm soo soo sorry for the delay but here i'm back with the update

i'll update it in two parts

And that was enough to make everyone panic as they had absolutely no clue about her.

Everyone together: Oh shit..!!

Muk : How can we forget her guys ? This is so not good. We have to find her. NOW..!!

Cab : Yeah guys for the first time in life this lady bheem nai kuch sahi kaha hai... we should find her.

(he said with an utmost innocent face only causing to receive angry glares from everyone giving him an -"you are impossible look". )

But first let us try calling her.( He continued.)

They all started dialing her number turn by turn but all they got to hear was, " the number you are you've dialed is currently switched off. Please try again later." This was literally testing manik's patience and getting all frustrated after hearing the same thing for the n^th time he was almost about to throw the cell phone on the ground when suddenly he felt a hand grab his arm from behind and stop him from doing that. He didn't need to turn back to see who the person was cause he knew only she had the guts to face his anger ;his nandu, his best friend' and without wasting any time he turned around and pulled her into a bone crashing hug. She expected this to come and so she just lovingly hugged him back, caressing his back trying to calm down his anger, which she was successful in doing. She pulled out of the hug and cupped his face looking right into his eyes blinking her eyes once assuring him that everything will be fine.

Their bond needed no words to convey their feelings and expressions to each other and the same thing happened yet again. Just one assuring smile of her and his confidence was boosted to a new level. He quickly turned towards his friends and said in a serious tone...

Manik : Guys, listen to me carefully. We should not waste more time and get back to finding Alya. We will divide and go to different places and that way we can find her sooner. So Cabir you go with Mukti, Nandini goes with me and Dhruv, you go to Alya's place alone and check there first.

All together : Okay..!!

Manik : And yeah, any news about her just give a call and stay in touch get that..?

Every one nodded in a yes.

With this all scattered and started moving towards their decided destination.

Manan went towards their college and started their search for alya having their hands entwined together which gave them the needed courage to face the situation together. Nandini understood Manik's unsaid words which only told her that somewhere down the line he was guilty thinking that he is the one responsible for it. They continued their search quietly calling out for her time and again...

Where as Mukbir , were searching for her at all their reagular hang out spots. But the situation wasn't any different for them either. The were continuously calling out for her but there was no sign of her being anywhere near. The enquired about her to all the nearby people... but even that couldn't be of any help.

While dhruv had till then reached at alya's place but was again disappointed as the servants told them that she hadn't returned yet.

It had been 2 hours now and yet there was no sign of alya anywhere. Manan were all exhausted after searching for her in the entire college not missing a single door. After continuously searching for her they finally settled at their regular secret place which was only know to them. The place where they would usually spend their time together only the two of them, trying to find some peace from the chaos of the outside world. They would come here to find their solace or rather solace only in each other. They would have all their heart to heart talks at the same place, this place had witnessed almost all the phases of their life, their best as well as their worst. And once again they were seated here for having some peace leaving the crazy things going on in the world aside for some time.

They settled down there with nandu's head placed on his broad shoulder while both her hands were wrapped around his arm pulling him towards herself , comforting him with all the warmth and love she had. While he just closed his eyes placing his head over hers taking in her presence trying to forget all the worries for sometime.

Their peaceful trance was broken by the ring of the phone. Nandu quickly moved a bit away allowing him to answer the call. Seeing cabir's name flashing on the screen he picked up the call without making any delay hoping to get some good news.

Manik : Hello? Cabir? Kuch pata chala? Did you find her? What happened? Say something dammit...!!

Cabir : Shant hoja mere hulk. At least take a breath. And nahi, alya ka kuch pata nahi chala hai abhi tak. We tried searching every possible place, but no...there's no sign of her.

Dhruv : Yes buddy, even I didn't find anything about her. Wo ghar par bhi nahi hai. I even tried looking for her in all the near by places, but got no clue about her. Did you get to know something?

Manik : No buddy. She's not here either. Nandu and I, we searched the entire college without missing a single corner but she's no where.

After hearing a negative answer from everyone, everyone's faces fell, they were feeling helpless. But among all this there was only one person who was more worried of course for alya but more than that for her best friend whom she knew can break any moment. She was very well aware of the guilt engulfing him but she wanted him to open up first and she knew the time has come. For him to let out everything and for her to play her role of his angel again , which he used to call her always after such hearty talks.

She moved more closer to him again to the original position she was in before the call interrupted them and wrapped one hand around his strong masculine bicep, and with the other hand she lovingly cupped his face forcing him to turn and look towards her. And as soon as their eyes met he couldn't hold it any longer and pulled her petit frame towards him with all force and she came crashing into him. He wrapped his arms tightly around her back and her waist and pushed her more into himself not letting even the air pass through them, and if it was in his control he might have even pulled her into himself completely. She very gently started stroking his hair and patting his giving him the much needed solace.

Nandu : Shh... I'm there with you always jaan. I'm there for you, and I'm not going anywhere. It was not your fault. Not when you said no to her nor when you got mad at her. It wasn't your mistake baby. She called for it right, in spite of you saying no to her she couldn't hold back herself, but it wasn't even her fault, she likes you and so she did it. No one can be blamed . No one's at fault. Not even you. So just stop feeling guilty. She has to understand one day or the other that you are not the one for her. And you are just trying to make her understand, then how can it be your fault na??

(she said in a calm and soft tone trying to remove him out of that guilt. Trying to pacify him. Trying to console him. Without breaking the hug and it worked. And that is when the frown and the defeated look on his face was replaced with a small curve of his lips. And he finally smiled and she could feel that curve against the smooth and soft texture of neck where he had buried his face , And she continued...)

You don't need to feel bad, we will find her. And I , I will talk to her myself hmm? So just calm down now and stop nuzzling into my neck and hiding your beautiful smile there it feels so ticklish Mani... ( she said with a babyish tone making his smile even wider and instead of moving back and obeying her words he nuzzled more into her neck. Seeing this she understood that he is fine now and so again getting back to her nandu mode she thought to tease him and so she just pushed him with all her force which startled him and he looked at her with a confused and irritated expression. )

Nan : Mr. Manik Malhotra, if you have forgotten let me remind you what are we here for. We are here to find ayla and now that you look pretty fine to me I guess we should get going back to others. ( he pouted hearing this but finally coming back in terms with the reality he quickly agreed and they both left for the place where their friends were already waiting for them. And that was at alya's place , as they thought that this will be the only place she will return to sooner or later and they will wait for her. They knew she was somewhat hurt but they also knew that she was no kid to take some impulsive decisions .)

They reached there within 20 minutes where they found everybody already waiting for them.

It had been 1 hour more now...

All of them were hell tensed. Mukti was pacing to and fro in the living area biting her nails while cabir was sitting on the couch with a serious expression as if trying to solve some murder mystery. While dhruv was sitting on the other end of the couch with his face dug in his hands. Manik was settled on the single sofa resting his head back on the back of the sofa with his eyes closed clearly showing how tired he was. While nandu was in the kitchen arranging for their dinner as she very well knew how tired and hungry everyone must be.

She came out of the kitchen with two trays in her hand and quietly placed it on the table. The first one to notice this was cabir and without wasting any time to even say anything he quickly walked to her kissed her on her cheek as a thank you and pounced on the yummy pasta made by his sister as if he had been starving since ages. After seeing him happily quenching his hunger she moved her eyes around the house only to see everyone busy with their selves.

She quietly went to each one personally and asked or rather pleaded them to have something as no one felt like eating anything. But she knew that if problems could be solved by staying hungry then there would be no problems at all. Finally everyone had agreed to have something but there was some one who was so lost in his thoughts and nandini knew what he needed and so decided to get back to that person at last.

Everyone was settled around the dining table except for manik and nandini .

Manik was still resting on the couch in the same position when nandu came from behind and lovingly started giving him a head massage and his lips immediately curved into a broad smile thinking that how this little angel knows him so well .in and out in fact maybe even more than what he knows himself.

Man : Jaan... how did you know that I'm having a headache ??. Sometimes I wonder if you know some magic with which you easily get to know what is going on in my head.

Nan : Well I don't need any kind of magic to understand my best friend. I just understand him the same way he understands me you know.!?

And hearing this manik gently held her both hands which were massaging his head and brought them near his lips and kissed them lovingly.

All this scenario was watched by their friends who were sitting on the dining table looking at this cute best friend couple in awe.

Cab : I really wonder from which angle do they look like just best friends'.

Muk : Exactly..!! anyone who would see them like this would only think them as a couple madly and deeply in love.

Dhr : Oh please...!! Not just a couple madly and deeply in love but a MARRIED couple madly and deeply in love. Not even normal lovers act like this nor they know each other this good like they do.

Cab : Oh ho dhruv kya baat hai , tu toh bohot jaldi bada ho gaya..!!

Muk : Yeah... but you are right. These two, we really need to do something about them. Warna kya pata pura life Best Friend- Best Friend' khelte reh jayenge.

Cab : Wow now that's surprising !! How come suddenly everyone has started getting so much brains ?! Is there some kinda sale going on somewhere ?

Muk : Hahaha very funny mahn ..!! ( and with this she slightly smacked his arm and he gave a fake wince in pain. )

Dhr : Alright alright we will sure do something about them but right now we need to focus on a bigger issue and that is alya right now if you have forgotten.

And suddenly they heard something which gave them a feeling of mixed emotions, happy, confused, shocked.

Person : What the hell is happening...!!!

And after hearing this the only thing everyone could utter was ALYA..??

Yes it was alya, who was again furious after seeing something which she didn't expect to, at least not now. When she entered the first thing she saw was manik sitting on the couch with nandu in his lap. Whom he had pulled in that position once the massage was done. And was teasing her again while she was only trying to free herself from his strong grip, this was the very first thing that came in her sight as the couch was placed right in front of the entrance.

This broke everyone's trance and brought them back to reality.
