CHAPTER 4

The time nandini and manik came in front of each other they froze looking at the person standing infront of them they were not moving away just looking at each other with loads of emotion filled inside they kept staring at each other till the time anjali and neyonika broke their trance
'Nandini this manik my son and manik this is nandini' neyonika came towards them and intoduced them but finding no response from either sides she said again ' arey why you both are looking at each other like aliens common say hi to each other atleast' this broke their trance and first was manik to say hi
'hi nandini' he took her name very softly nandini looked at him with blank expression but didn't said anything anjali shook her from her arms and said to speak something so they she finally said 'hello!!'
All of them settled in the living room with manik and nandini sitting infront of each other the elders were talking but they both were not paying any heed to their talks their were lost in their world but not looking at each other finally neyonika said and again broke their trance
'You know nandini I have known your from around five years and we became very close friends and after knowing she has such a beautiful daughter I decided to make you my daughter-in-law' nandini looked at her and she continued 'I have seen you in pictures but you are really more beautiful' in reply nandini just gave a faint smile and said Thankyou the elders again continued their talk but they both still didn't pay any attention manik for once looked at nandini and thought 'she has changed so much she changed into a young lady more beautiiful saree make her look more beautiful her perfect curves seen from sides of the sare and her milky white skin and those jet black her all are same except the fact that time has changed now'
All the elders looked at both of them and gave each other a mischevious smile and then neyonika said ' manik and nandini ' and both of them looked at her ' What is this you guyzzz are not even talking to each other just sitting ohh common you can talk you know we are not those orthodox types okay?' and they both just nodded but still didn't uttered a word ' acha you people are feeling shy infront of I got it now so I have a better idea why don't you guyzz go out on a coffee you know then maybe you would open up and talk okay' and she winked at manik for which manik gave an angry glare to her 'yaa that's an amazing idea common you both go out spend some time together get to know each other' raj said for which anjali and mayank nodded both nandini and manik unwillingly got up when neyonika stopped nandini and asked her to come to her neyonika held her hand and gave her a box 'aunty what is this? ' nandini looking at the box
'nandini beta its a small gift as I have first time met you and its ritual so plzz accept it' neyonika said closing her palms
'aunty but..' nandini tried to protest but neyonika said ' nandini don't say a no plzzz I wud be happy if you accept it' she pleaded and nandini smiled and accepted it and said 'Thankyou aunty' and neyonika said 'acha now you both go out okay and manik take care of her I'll see you at home directly' and they both headed towards they both headed towards the car manik was going to open the car door for her but she herself opened it and sat inside manik looked at her and then he to sat inside and drove off the whole way they were silent with nandini looking out having a blank expression on her face and manik wanted to say something but wasn't gathering words to speak but finally he broke the silence
'Nandini' he called out her name she looked at him and then again looked away ' ho..w ar...ee yo..uuu??' he said fumbling with words but she didn't uttered anything 'nandini I asked you something?' he again said but she stayed silent which made him angry before he could say anything she spoke or rather shouted
'Stop the car!!' she said and he looked at her questioningly
'The only thing that I want to say is that say no this MARRIAGE'
