Chapter 6 A
Next day it was 7 of the evening Manik was getting ready in his room when as usual Nayonika came in without knocking.
"Mom..!! At least you should knock..!!" Manik said making a baby face.
"And why would I?" Nayonika said naughtily and started picking up his discarded clothes. Manik put on his white blazer. He was wearing a blue shirt and pant. He was very much excited for today. "All the preparations are done..! Your friends will be there anytime soon Manik..!!" Nayonika said putting his clothes in basket.
"Mom..!! Hows am looking?" Manik said excitedly showing Nayonika his
dressing.
"Mera beta duniya ka sab say handsome larka hai..!!"Nayonika said pulling his cheeks.
"Mom..!! Come on be neutral na..!!" Manik said making an annoying face.
"To whom you want to impress with your dressing Manik?" Nayonika asked buttoning his blazer.
"Wo..!! Main Nandini ko acha lagoon ga na?" Manik asked a little hesitant and Nayonika laughed.
"Oh my cute baby..!! Of course she will like you..!! Like you kya she will love you..!!" Nayonika said and Manik hugged her excitedly she hugged him back.

Nandini was getting ready. She wore a simple white plane knee length top with blue embroidery and simple plane blue jeans. Don't know but Manik's behavior was giving her some signals which she didn't want to receive. She bought a white lily bouquet. Moreover she bought an elegant fragrance perfume as a gift for Manik. At last she reached Malhotra Mansion. At the entrance she saw Manik standing.

Fab4 were here but Nandini hadn't reached yet. Manik was standing on the entrance impatiently waiting for Nandini. For thousands of times Manik had asked Nayonkia if he was looking ok or not. At last he saw Nandini stepping in the Mansion. She was looking beautiful. He smiled at her and waved. She walked towards him.
"Hi..!!" Manik said excitedly.
"Hi..!! Ummm Happy Birthday..!! This is for you..!!" Nandini said in a low tone and handed over him the lilies and his gift.
"Wow..!! I love white lilies..!! How do you know?" Manik asked surprisingly.
"Umm just a guess..!!" Nandini said smilingly.
"Ohh God I am so duffer..!! Please come in..!!" Manik said and lead her in. Fab4, Nayonika and Manik's aunt who Nayonika's best friend greeted her.
"Thank God Nandini you came..!! Manik was impatiently waiting for you..!!" Cabir said laughingly and all joined him. Nandini's sixth sense was guessing it right. Manik was really interested in her. "Aiyapa No..!!" Nandini thought helplessly.
"So now Nandini is here..!! So we should cut the cake..!!" Nayonika said and all nodded. Nayonika along with Roshni aunty went in the kitchen to bring the cake.

"Nayo..!! This girl..!! Myny dekha hai isy kahen..!!" Roshni was in a fix.
"Haan? What? Where did you saw her..!!" Nyonika asked surprisingly.
"I don't remember exactly..!!" Roshni said thoughtfully.
"Then try to remember...! Rosh..!!" Nayonika said impatiently.
"Wait a second...!!" Roshni said and started thinking. "Aray haan yaad aya..!! I had saw her on a wedding in Manglore..!! She is Nandini Murthy..!! Wo Rishab Murthy hai na?" Roshni said and Nayonika nodded."Ary woi great business Tycoon..!! She is his sister..!!" Roshni aunty revealed and Nayonika's jaw dropped open in shock.
"What? Tu sach bool rahi hai Rosh?..!!" Nayonika asked worriedly.
"Haan..!! But she is not the same girl yaar..!! The Nandini I saw one year back was very different...!!" Roshi said shaking her head. "She was too much talkative..!! Very lively..!! She kept smiling all the time..! But this Nandini..!!
Naa..!! Ya wo tou ni lagti..!! She is so quiet..!! She don't smile..!!" Roshni said sadly shaking her head.
"Then what happened to her??" Nayonika asked surprisingly.
"I don't know..!!" Roshni said.
"You know Roshni..!! She said to Manik that she don't have a family..! She said that her bhaiya and Bhabhi died..!!" Nayonika said worriedly.
"No no..!! Rishab is alive yaar..!! It's impossible..!!"Roshni said.
"I think something really bad happened with her..!!" Nayonika said sadly.
"I think so..!! Because that Nandini was so lovely girl..!!" Roshni said nodding her head.
"Mom..!! Be quick na..!!" Manik shouted from the lounge.
"Coming beta..!!"Nayonika shouted. "Rosh..!!You will not tell this to anyone ok?" Nayonika said to Roshni and she nodded.

At last Nayonika came with the cake. Manik's favorite cake vanilla cake with chocolate icing.Everyone gathered around the cake table. Nayonika lit up the candles.
"Come on Manik..!! Blow the candles..!! And make a wish..!!" Nayonika said excitedly.
"Hmmm..!! My wish is standing beside me..!!" Manik whispered in Nayonika's ear and look at Nandini who was standing beside Manik. Nandini look down. Nayonika smiled and Manik blow the candles. Everyone cheered a happy birthday for Manik and Manik along with Nayonika cut the cake. He fed the first bite to Nayonika. Then to Roshni aunty. After that he walked towards his friends and fed them.
"Manik..! Nandini ko bhi khilaoa cake..!!" Nayonik said smilingly and Manik look at Nandini. He walked towards her and she nervously tucked her hair behind her ears.
"Nandini..!! Cake..!!" Manik said and forward the piece to Nandini. She slowly opened her mouth and Manik fed her the cake. Both were looking in each others eyes lost in their own world. Everyone smiled.
"Chalo bachoon..!! Time for dinner..!!" Nayonik said and MaNan came out of their trance. Nayonika had arranged dinner on the counters. Everyone has to serve by themselves.
"Manik..!! Take care that Nandini eat properly..!!" Nayonika whispered in Manik's ear and he nodded. Nandini took a plate and dish out little rice for her. She sat on a table. As Nayonika and Roshni were sitting on the same table and Fab5 were sitting on the same table. So she was sitting lonely. Again she was least interested in taste of food. She was eating with an expressionless face.
"Manik..!! Nandini akeli hai tu ja us kay pass..!!" Cabir suggested and all nodded.
Manik came towards Nandini and sat beside her.
"Aray tum ny itna thora q dala hai..!! Come I'll dish out some more..!" Manik said and was about to held her plate but Nandini stopped him.
"Manik..!! I am not hungry..!! Mjhy bhook nahi hai sachi..!!" Nandini said in a low tone.
"Are you sure?" Manik asked with a doubt and she simple nodded.
"Bohat kam khana khati ho tum..!!" Manik complained and Nandini didn't answered to him. She quietly kept eating and Manik was constantly blabbering about himself and Nandini was just listening to him. Soon they finished their food.
"Come Nandini..!! I'll show you my house..!!"Manik said and Nandini nodded. Nayonika smiled at Manik and he smiled back.
Manik showed Nandini his house. Different rooms. Then he showed her the Swimming pool. And Suddenly Nandini become too much excited seeing the pool.
"Swimming pool..!!" She exclaimed. And Manik smiled on her excitement.
"You liked it?" Manik asked lovingly.
"Liked it? Oh my God Manik..!! I loved it..!!" Nandini exclaimed with joy for a moment she forget all her worries.
"Can I touch the water in it?" Nandini asked hesitantly and Manik nodded. She jumped with excitement and run towards the pool. Manik smilingly followed her. Nandini sat beside the pool and dipped her feet in it. Manik sat beside her crossing his legs.
"You know Manik..!! I love swimming pool..!! I used to had one at my house..!!" Nandini told Manik and he nodded. Manik gently held her hands in his. Nandini look at him little surprised. He was looking in Nandini's eyes. And Nandini felt like his gaze setting her on fire. Manik slowly brought her hands near his lips and gently kissed them. Nandini was shocked too much numb to react.
