But that's not the fault of the actors. Their stories were never properly developed.
We all like Cabir coz of ManBir. Are you liking the Raghav-Cabir track? For me, this track doesn't connect. I love Cabir too much, and just like Manik, I feel that Raghav isn't good for Cabir. Cabir deserves the best.
Dhruv - Most people aren't even missing his absence from the show. And that's not the actor's fault. However annoying Uttu may be, he does have his fans. CVs just destroyed his character.
Mukti - What is Mukti's story? Abhi came and went. What was the point of killing that character? Was Mukshad supposed to be the end game? Will audience accept this? CVs have messed up so badly with this character that it's better to just leave her alone for the time being.
Alya - I like her character's journey. However, her progression has stopped as the focus is on Manan and Cabir right now. Feels like the CVs don't know where to go with this character.
Navya - I honestly don't know what to say about this character. As much as she is fun, she seems to live in an alternate universe. I don't know whether she grasps the reality of her situation.
These characters work only when they support Manan and to move the story forward. Except for Cabir (and maybe I'm biased here), whenever they focus on the other characters, if the story line is not gripping enough, audience simply doesn't care.
I don't know whether I've been coherent enough. Don't get me wrong. I don't simply love Manan - I love KY2 and its whole cast. Unfortunately, I do feel that CVs have failed where the other characters are concerned. I'd still single out Cabir, and maybe to a lesser extent Alya, who have been spared this character damage.
