I think he may have initially wanted to do JDJ because it is a springboard to Bollywood. Since BBC is the PH for the show, they may have agreed to it when they re-negotiated the contract with him after he planned to quit the show for greener pastures. Things have changed since then. Karan Johar who is one of the major reasons why participants eye JDJ (Sushant Singh Rajput, Siddharth Shukla and Karan Wahi got their breaks because of him), is not judging this year's contest due to prior movie commitments. So I think Parth is conserving himself for next year when hopefully KJo will judge the show. By then with his dance training, he will be better equipped for the show. Winning the show is secondary but catching Kjo's eyes is more important.
