part 3B

Finally the weekend was here , today Nandini had to meet the guy . Her eyes were puffy , red with crying all week . she hadn't even mentioned this to manik , that made the matter hurt her even more .

She was getting ready in a simple anarkali dress , when suddenly she felt two homely warm arms wrap around her . Recognizing them in a split second, she stayed absorbing them for she knew, it was her mirage .

" you dint miss me ?" he asked huskily in her ear

That's when she realized, he was here in reality .

What the hell!' she exclaimed to herself as she saw her life going down the biggest drain now !

She turned and hugged him tight, subconsciously.

" what has happened to you ? you look soo different ...Nandini did uncle say something again ..say naa " he asked looking at her her face cupped in his hands .

She avoided his questions and asked him to freshen up in the other room and told her mother to give him refreshments.

He got freshened up and ate snacks , deciding against visiting his own house he thought, he should take Nandini out , maybe that could help her open up to what was wrong .

When suddenly Nandini's mom came with a box of sweets, and broke to him a news

A good news ; which broke him.

He stood there absolutely numb, while she fed him a sweet and walked away.

He felt himself break, a part of him break, which he never knew was his.

His eyelids closed, and all he could feel was nothing for a moment.

It was as if his life seeped out.

He could see in a split second, his whole world fall apart

And all he could do was stare!

He then subconsciously, entered her room , to see her sprawled on the floor and her face on the bed looking at a white box .

He slowly walked near , still not in his senses .

He saw she was crying hard , and looking at the box .

" did she also not want this wedding ?" " does she love me back ?""is she crying because she is scared ?" a million questions crossed his mind .

He then slowly sat near her , while Nandini hadn't even seen him .

He saw that she was soo lost. She looked so soulless, her eyes not leaving the box .

Suddenly the moment he sat, he could see the box .

And his entire being wept, wept with happiness !

The box had the water lily , the first thing he ever made for her . Those green and pink colored papers that brought them together .

He never knew , she had preserved it since 5 years .

And he slowly saw another thing in the same box , it was nothing else but the floral tiara that he had made for her , and gifted her for the college farewell .

He saw she was moving her hands over the intricate flowers and tears were still escaping her eyes .

In a second he felt his own eyes bathe with vapors of moisture seeing the amount of love, she held for him .

He slowly moved near her and kept his face in the crook of her neck. That was when she realized he was there, she tried moving away but he held her tightly with his one arm around the waist, while both were still sitting on the floor.

Nandinis hands in her own accord went to close the box , when suddenly Manik with his other hand snatched it and took out the lily in it .

His one arm still around her waist, he held the lily in his hand in front of her, while her eyes were absolutely surprised with whatever was happening.

He kissed her earlobe , making her blush hard .

" soo you really think if you don't tell me , I' ll let you get married to some douchebag ?...haan "

Nandini looked in shock, not knowing what to say, tears made their way again .

" sooo , is this your plan haan ?, like when we ll date , you will flood me with these tears all day and night ?...comeon yaar I can't stand with tissues all the time naa ...I need some concession please... "

he said to her in one go , while her eyes shot out of their sockets , a slow smile making its way on her face

And in the happiness all she could utter was " maniikkk.."

" shhh... you know , I'm absolutely irritating , I do things properly just once in a while , I make you cry soo much and I know you hate this idiot of yours ...

but Nandini , but what can I doo ,

I love you ,

I loved you and always will...i just cant stop doing that ...cause I m your idiot naa "

his voice was hitched at the end with tears almost threatening to flow down .

Nandini almost giggled in between and then slowly smiled and blinked her eyes , and before she could utter another word .

She felt her a warmth on her lips

He was kissing her, so passionately , yet so softly as if his life depended on it .

In a minute she moved away to breathe, and said against his lips in a very low voice

" but you know what ...I love this idiot " , ruffling and messing up his hair , while he smiled his widest

And he continued to kiss.

Kissing the person you love is a drug.

Truly a sedating drug.

There's quite nothing like it .

Fireworks flash on the backs of your eyelids and the drums bang in your chest.

You feel your whole body fall into it , heavenly and holy ,

And then your entire soul crying out in glorious triumph.

Triumph of finding the love, destined for you.

He suddenly broke off and spoke " so forever ? "

"Forever " she answered

Suddenly continuing to kiss, it dawned upon her and she hit him in his stomach while he laughed.

"you idiot ...you remembered it ...I hate you " , her hands still punching his abs.

He pulled her closer and said in his deep voice " soo what's the punishment haan ?" Winking to her, when she suddenly blushed a shade of crimson and he lifted her, connecting his mouth to hers once again , trying to finish his first punishment in the gazillion ones yet to come !

Its not about giving up on fairy tale relationship. It's about landing it in reality.

Its about giving happy feet. It's about peeling the prince's armor and loving the human below.

Its about wiping the princess's makeup and loving her divine humanness.

Its about finding romance in the fires of our daily lives .

Its only when our masks & disguises fall away, our real love reveals itself.

Forget fairy tales, human tales are more satisfying

For its just us who need to learn to get swayed away by humanness.

For only humanness promises a forever

. a forever .

i really hope i was able to justify their relation from the start to the end . thank you soo much to all of you guys , many of your comments really have made my day. and yes ! i hope you liked this threeshot .
