CHAPTER- CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
"Care to explain guys...what's on your mind" said aliya excitedly
Navya grinned ear to ear and gestured them to come closer to her.
"Oh please madhubala...stop acting like a kid... Its all of us who are included in plan" Cabir rolled his eyes.
Navya glared at cabir which was a deadly signal for him to keep his mouth shut to increase his existence in the world.
Navya animatedly narrated the plan to which all listened keenly .
"Gosh...what more can I expect from madhubala...A high voltage drama..that's so filmy...its not gonna work...manik is not a fool guys..."
"So Mr Cabir Dhawan , if you find it lame...than please enlighten us with your brilliant idea...what you pea size brain generated.." Navya said grinding her teeth, with extra sweet voice...
"No , I don't""Cabir shrugged casually but was interrupted by a shout...
"So you better keep your mouth shut" said everyone in union, cornering puppy faced Cabir.
"Ohky Navya...that's sound cool...me and Cabir will get nandini...dhruv and aliya will handle manik...and

"Cool...yoo!!!" Exclaimed Navya making everyone chuckle at her Navya special emotion ( YO!!).

"I knew it...I can find you here only..." Said mukti standing at doorstep of nandini's old room, to nandini.
Mukti could clearly see how worn out she looked and her puffed red eyes and photo in her hand were all telling the story of the last night. She looked completely exhausted.
"Happy birthday baby doll!!!" Said mukti with a huge smile engulfing nandini in a tight hug.
"Thankyou mukti" said nandini with a slight smile.
"Gosh nandini!! You are damn late for the office " said Cabir entering the house.
"Cabir ! I will be taking a leave today...I am kinda not feeling well" nandini said Cabir while giving him a hug.
Nandini didn't want to face manik ...at least not today...
"Nandini, we have meeting with birdshades today...lazy head ...don't tell me, you forget about that "
"Oh freak how can I forget it...I will be back in 5" nandini freaked out and rushed towards bathroom grabbing her clothes.

Sunlight through the curtain fell straight on Manik's face making him scrunch his eyes in irritation. He turned his head away to avoid sunlight but moaned as he felt sheer pain in his back. He heard constant knocking on his door.
He slowly opened his eyes and realized that he slept on the floor while lost in nandini's thoughts...
"Happy birthday love..." Manik smiled looking heaven words "and happy 7th breakup anniversary too" manik let out a sarcastic painful laugh
He managed to stand up and mummered " damn you nandini!" While rubbing his back he opened the door. Finding aliya with horrified expressions.
"Wake up... Sleepy head you have a important meeting at 10 and it 9 already...get ready...I will get breakfast prepared for you" said aliya, throwing her handbag aside and walking to kitchen
What meeting ... I am not going anywhere...I am kinda not feeling well "
"I really wonder are you THE MANIK MALHOTRA...really own malhotra empire...coz with this he would have been bankrupted." Said aliya with shock.." We have meeting with birdshades today ...which I suppose is your dream project"
"How can I be so irresponsible ...aliya ,thankx a lot ...you really saved my ass today..." Said manik rushing towards his room.
Aliya did a small victory dance and texted...
'STAGE 2 ... COMPLETED' and resumed making breakfast for manik.

In manik's cabin
"When are the delegates reaching" said manik totally engrossed in his laptop.
"With in half an hour or so...Mr Mathur and miss suzzy have gone to receive them" said aliya
"Ask Stella to discuss last moment changes with me before her presentation I don't want tolerate any mistakes today"said manik shuting his laptop down.
"But... Stella is not"" objected aliya as as far she knows nandini is in charge of this project and presentation was to be headed
by her.
"Make conference room ready...and let me know when delegates arrive..." Manik cut her off and walked out of his cabin. Leaving behind worried aliya.

Nandini was copying final edited presentation in her pendrive where extension ran in her cabin.
"WHAT!" Nandini screamed.
The call was ended by suzzy few seconds ago, but whatever she said had extremely shocked nandini, as she had her eye balls popped out, her mouth formed a perfect capital 'O'
she came out of her shocked state and flew into rage.
There was a loud knock on the door of suzzy's cabin.
"How could you do this to me?" Said Nandini walked forward, with anger written all over her face.
"Miss Murthy..."
"Don't try to calm me down, because its going to be of no use!" Nandini yelled, "I'm here to know the reason that why my prensentation is given to someone else?"
Nandini waited for some answer from suzzy, when she saw a tall, slim and an extremely modern girl approach to her.
"Listen you... Whatever is your name, first get your facts correct. This job is mine, and you have no right to come in here suddenly and put up your questions in this manner..." The girl said.
Nandini exclaimed angrily, which shocked suzzy to death, while stella grew irritated, "Who is HE to decide that who shall Work on project or not"
"I am the BOSS of this Company, Miss nandini murthy!"
Nandini heard a strong manly voice from behind, hearing which her heart skipped a beat, "MANIK"she whispered and she involuntarily went in silent mode, while suzzy and Stella were too shocked to say something or react in anyway.
Nandini turned behind and moment her eyes fell on him, she could hardly even blink! . Forgetting everything around her, she shamelessly scanned him from top to bottom, as he was clad in a dark grey business suit with an off-white shirt, the sexy subtle adding to his perfection, and that intense pair of eyes were enough to make a girl go weak in her knees! He was nothing, but a perfect creation of God she had ever come across.
She mentally slapped herself, as she realized that she was shamelessly ogling at a man whom she didn't wanted to face today, while he entered inside with slow steps, and straight away walked to her, making her even more conscious.
"So you were saying about me?" He asked in a deep baritone, looking intently at nandini, while she looked everywhere but him.
"Leave both of you"signaled manik to suzzy and Stella.
"So what were you saying?"
Manik questioned in his ever so sexy voice, which highly mesmerized nandini, but realizing the reason of her being there and the surrounding, she came from her thoughts and gathered courage to answer him.
"Well.. I' I was saying' that' the presentation is mine.." Nandini stammered.
"So?"
"So? So how can you give my presentation to someone?" She questioned with oblivion.
"This is my office...its me who decides what is to be done not you" said manik furiously.
"You should have known that working at silver swish with manik malhotra isn't going to be a child's play Miss nandini murthy!" Manik said.
"So you're trying to challenge me?"
"Not exactly, I can't trust you with such important presentation"
"Oh my my... So Mr malhotra why don't you fire me if you have so many trust issues with me" yelled nandini
What your tone lady... And as far presentation is concerned you will surely regret your desicion and I don't want that" said manik in civil tone
"You're challenging my confidence Mr. Malhotra? And you know what? I'm ready to accept this!"
"You have no idea woman that whom you are messing with!"
"I can say the same thing to you. But no, I won't say it, but I'll show that to you."
"I'm not at all interested in arguing with you. I just want my right back...i have given ally hardwork to this presentation...It has been a dream for me to work on this project" nandini tried to calm down herself, after she realized that there was no use of arguing.
"get ready,You're giving the presentation Miss murthy!"
Nandini stood completely surprised at her place, staring at him with popped out eyes.
Manik strode towards the door and turned around " don't consider it your birthday present...I won't tolerate even a minor error" and walked out of the cabin leavind shocked Nandini behind
Nandini was numb, trying to believe what she heard...
"So he remembers " said nandini which a slight blush
"Why will he not" her brain screamed out of sarcasm making nandini sigh with a sad laugh.
Nandini entered conference room and greeted everyone.
Nandini immediately took out her file from the bag and connected the pendrive to the projector. all the while being nervous and avoiding eye contact with him. Never in her life till now had she been so nervous and even today there was no such reason, as she was arguing for the her dream projecy which rightfully belonged to her, but then, Manik was the sole reason for making her nervous.
As he went on reading each and every detail of her body language.he didn't forget to look at the girl with his deep brown eyes, as she tried her best to hide her nervousness, but that only added to manik's smirk.
Instantly , their eyes meet.
Subconsciously,Manik gave her ensuring nod indicating that its gonna be fine. Nandini smiled and that definitely reached her eyes. She took a deep breath and confidently started the presentation. Everyone present in the conference room gave each other impressed nods but fab 4 was keenly looking at manik's changIng expressions.
Manik was surprised to see that nandini had given presentation confidently and that too without any error. He had to unwillingly agree to the fact that her ideas were fresh and innovative... she not only knew how to speak boldly, but also prove her words right by her actions! He slowly looked at nandini, while delegates checked other files and were impressed.
(You rocked, girl) manik thought mentally, flashing a smile on his face which did not get unnoticed by fab4.
"Mr malhotra... We are really impressed with your team...I really liked the inputs by your team... Deal is on ...congratulations! Mr malhotra..as always! You nailed it again" said the head of birdshades, shaking his hand with manik.
"Thanks a lot Mr Motwani...The real credit goes to Ms Nandini murthy...she is the one behind this project" said manik fixing his eyes on nandini , trying not to laugh at horrified expressions on nandini's face.
