CHAPTER 7- FACE TO FACE
While making breakfast, her cellphone rang.
"Yes this is Nandini murthy"
Said Nandini keeping her phone between her ear and shoulder.
"Ohky ,what time you want me to reach there" said Nandini after listening to the the caller
"Ohky I will be there. Thankyou for informing" said Nandini before disconnecting the call.
Nandini went back to her room after having her breakfast.
She saw her another bottle with a message and a gift box beneath it.
Nandini smiled and opened the bottle to open the scroll.
Turn around...switch on you TV ...after That turn to the next page of scroll

She turned on the TV...it was manik's singing video
Pehle kabhi hua karti thi
Dil se meri dosti
Pehle kabhi raha karta tha

Manik sang whole song along with his guitar. Nandini blushed and turned into deep crimson red.
She turned the scroll page and read
Its crazy, I myself don't even get a hint when you became so important in me.
Its like watching a snowstorm... You see the flakes falling but you don't realize how they are adding up. Then suddenly your whole lawn is covered .
All these little thing have added up. And you are my snow storm, baby.
Somewhere in our silly fights, long talks, in our lame jokes, our laugh... I lost my heart to you without realizing...

Nandini grinned and read it over and over again. She wanted to go running straight into manik's arms. But she couldn't which made her to frown.

Flashbacks ends...
Nandini opened her eyes and lone tear escaped her eye. She was dreaming with a broken heart where waking up is the hardest part. She wanted so badly to lie next to him , wrap her arms around him and sleep. No more tea bags are gonna work under my eyes. I really need to sleep.
She rolled out of the bed and down on her knees. For a moment she couldn't breath.
Standing back on her knees she walked towards bathroom. She came out in a light blue salwar kameez. She looked worn out. She dragged herself out of the room. She walked through corridor making sure to not wake anyone up.
she started walking on the dark road, her eyes blurred with the tears remembering manik ,as a car flashed in front of her and she scrunched her eyes shut before someone took her hand and pulled her towards him, hugging her tightly as he lifted her up and she could not feel her legs anymore.
She opened her eyes and condnt believe what she was saw.
"Mm..manik" she whispered as she opened her Eyes.
"What were you trying to do in the middle of road in this dead road" manik said coldly still holding Nandini by her waist.
"Aa..ctually I...I was going back home"
"Home" manik asked suspiciously "At this hour of time"
"Hmm..yes. I am coming back from my friend's house" Nandini looked away, so that manik doesn't read her eyes and know she was lying.
"Come! I will drop you" said manik moving towards his car.
"No! No! You don't have to do this...I will go back by myself" Nandini panicked.
( please manik, I really need you tonight but can't have u. Please manik don't make it difficult for me)
"I am not leaving you alone here...I would have done same for any girl in your situation. So please stop wasting my time and get in"
Said manik in a civil tone.
Nandini didn't have energy to argue back with him. So she gave in and sat inside the car beside him.
An comforting silence spread between them which neither of them wanted to break which presence of each other. Having Each other beside them gave them courage. But still something broke inside them. Thousand of questions were there in their mind whose answers were unknown.
"We reached" said manik , looking straight on the road with an expressionless face but going through turmoil inside him.
"Thankyou" said Nandini looking towards manik, in hope that he would at least look at her.
Manik without any response drove away.
As Nandini entered her room. She closed the door and sat near it crying bitterly. The tears that she was controlling seeing manik now were flowing continuously. She went into her past , the day which changed her life.

Nandini was sitting on her sofa with mouth full of chocolates as her eyes were glued on TV watching her favourite cartoon detective Conan.
She engrossed herself and bent towards the screen as suspicious detective was stalking the murderer. nandini felt something soft beside her as she roamed her hand on sofa to grab chocolate. Nandini screamed at top of her voice and grab TV remote to hit it
"Stop you mad woman ...its me" said manik shielding his face from with his hand
"Gosh manik...you wanted to scare the hell out of me...is it a way to come to meet people by bloody crashing in their houses and landing beside them and acting like a murderer..."
"First of all...my stunning witch...if you keep watching TV at this volume than I am afraid that I have to look for some hot girlfriend soon without any hearing aid"
"what the hell ...it should be me shouting at u... What did u say ...you won't want some witch... .you don't need me any more... What do u thing about yourself...you yellow tooth gorilla" nandini screamed
Nandini screamed and turned her face showing fake frown
" oh my cupcake...I m sorry..." As manik hugged her tightly
" you know how scared I was... My heart stopped beating not getting any response from you ... U are too precious to lose...never leave me ...even if you are angry ...please nandini
"I m sorry manik...I really didn't mean to scare you..."
Khushi broke the hug and cupped manik's face in her hand gently
" you are my existence manik... I will never leave your side...I am your manik..." She caressed his left cheek with her right hand for a few seconds n then she bent forward n slowly placed kiss on his forehead...
She looked straight into his eyes which were filled with pure love.
She rested her head on his chest and he righted his hold around her waist as soothing silence remained between
Them before they broke the hug
"Oh my my ...someone is getting bolder day by day"
Nandini blushed at his statement and hurriedly hid it
"Don't dare to divert the topic manik..spill it out...why are u here"
"Nothing just came to check is my baby alright"
" aww...how sweet of u..." Said nandini sarcastically
" heyy...nandinji how do u always manage to be so self centered ...I was not talking about u but my baby krissan" as manik hugged nandini's teddy bear .
"Ohh really...well she is doing well...so as this table, sofa, chair , bed , photoframe , plates , spoon...anything else malhotra"
Manik chuckled looking at nandini's innocent frowned face
" well that's great... And how about others"
" GET LOT MONSTER!!!! BEFORE MY KNIFE SATISFY ITS THIRST FOR YOUR BLOOD"
manik could feel smoke coming out of her ears . he decided to leave before she damages his face with permanent imprints of her nails
" okay...sweetheart...I shall take a leave..cya... "
