we usually fear things we do not understand..fascination and fear co exist in death..for me, im terrified of pain, not death😆 but i try not to think about it

I wouldn't judge manik if I did not know anything about him at all, or if I did not know about this particular part of his life either...

If i knew this much about him, we'd be friends (at least) and I don't judge my friends..so no...

This!! Exactly! Charlie is good at that, but it doesn't work for every track that was given to her after that. I have watched few scenes of her with Abhi, but they were on a completely different page so it never came across to the audience. Again, Zain was unfortunately pretty bad at acting too.

@aditi: yes, that's very true...lol and its also because I am selfish in that I really want to enjoy this show and tracks other than just MaNan (which has been very rare these days - I almost always FF other parts of the episode which wasn't the case before! Lately it has been getting better IMO)

You dropped Nature vs Nurture , Sigh.

I think certain bonds and relationships are too fabled because there is a sense of loyality, duty attached to them like Mother-Child one, in it the role of both are standardized , defined - so perceptions will always judge it against the standard word.

I feel Nyo can be someone with no motherly instincts - it is very possible. She knew what giving birth to a child will bring her and that is all she cares. Here her own nature plays out. Very anti-to what people perceive a mother to be.

While , she could very well have been nurturing Manik based on her life experiences and expectations. Most parents do that know?They pass their morals, values, expectations to their kids and they keep an eye on their kids from not wavering from that goal they have for them. Same could be for Nyo- her expectations ,nurturing for Manik could come from a right intent but wrong approach and wrong notion. Just that her nurturing is not the "ideal" usual one we find it difficult to understand . Though that doesn't mean she is not wrong. Her need to control goes beyond , she wants to engineer his life , his individuality - that makes it nurture for me.

People are constantly cribbing about lack of substance and stagnancy in growth, not properly executed back story and side tracks, and they are absolutely not wrong with that, but they fail to realize that to build the building again, foundations have to be strong.

Why did Fab5 ever started breaking apart? Individually they were weak? yes. But was Manik strong enough to be the perfect foundation for years? No. he was unstable too. he needed that one jerk too.

Why couldn't Nandini save Navya on time before Harshad ruined her life? Because she was weak too, in judging people.

The thing is, even though the show is all about friendships and complications, Manik and Nandini are foundation. They are pillar to two separate worlds.

In first 70 episodes writers worked on breaking the whole building and shaking the foundation.

Writers changed.

New writers worked on stabilizing the foundation so nothing can move it but passing it through many weather and heat test.

Writers changed.

The new writer will once gain go back to build and building more beautiful and stronger than before.

Thats how the show is working. Patience is the main key. Agree, these hundred episodes have been slow but again, its growth not change and growth takes time.
