As usual, lovely post.. I liked todays manan scenes a lot.. It had variety of emotions and they came out really well on the screen..
To start with the way maanik just couldnt believe nandu came to his house and she getting angry at him for asking him why she came.. Really nice.. That argument/bickering/pouting whatever you want to call it totally had the bf-gf feel.. the one that comes through familiarity with each other.. But as soon as maanik saw that nandu is tensed, he pulled her back, asked her to relax and the way he did was awesome.. Trust.. Wasnt this the whole problem they had during valentine. During Valentine he thought it was broken, during holi she questioned if he would believe her trust.. But today.. Today it was just the question that made both of them leave out all the worries aside.. Today there was no doubt.. Assurance was on both sides.. And with that the need to perform tomorrow was removed too.. Because they stressed on the fact that it doesnt matter.. It doesnt matter if they sing together or not.. It doesnt matter as long as they are together .. The whole emphasis that seemed so irrelevant since last few days about this concert... The whole burden it was lifted.. And thats what made it enjoyable to me.. Again, i keep saying confession - three letters - offcourse important - but these small actions are no less than that.. because without even saying those three letters they are conveyed to each other.. They may not be ready, it might not be time for that yet but today was time to reassure each other - no matter what, they will be together.. Growth..
I was on the fence for this whole pool scene, but surprisingly it worked for me.. because i think it was transitioned into and executed well.. Stars - They are with them too.. And those are giving strength too.. While nandu is thinking about long night, maanik asking her to let it pass... And to relax float in the pool.. It was really nice scene.. And thankfully they didnt make it unnecessarily HOT.. it continued the calmness that their previous conversation had brought and yes it was all about relaxing together, trusting each other, and just letting the night pass in each others company.. So yeah loved it.. Especially loved nandu and maanik interaction here - The fear of water, trust in each other, his efforts to make her comfortable enough to float with him on her side.. Acting and direction, editing was really awesome.. Learning to swim myself, i know how it feels just to let that fear go and trust someone else and yourself to float.. So year loved this letting go fear - trust execercise that maanik came up with :) The bit where she is sinking the first time he leaves her legs after seeing her float and she trying to hold him again and he reassuring again, she trusting him and being able to float with him.. Even the look they share in the end when they are floating together.. Lovely.. These details that they played off each other, especially without any words.. To top it off it was accompanied by Jaise mera tu.. The song is just special.. I remember there was thread few days back about wanting this song and jeena jeena on them back.. And i had mentioned there as well as topic maker had rightly said, jaise mera tu is their song.. She wrote it, he composed music.. It makes it special.. And the lyrics and music are just so so Manan.. The lyrics with each scene went just so well... The way she is struggling in water after that fall, he holding her and saying Nandini... ❤️ Loved love it.. I think this is going to be favorite song sequence on them in recent times.. I dont remember anything worth remembering since the last ice-cream song sequence.. So yeah, cant express how much i loved this.. Already watched this multiple times..
Even the scene after this sequence about the drying.. It was so well done.. Loved how them wondering what to do with that and he returning with dryer and boasting about smartness.. 😆 And then going ahead helping her, caressing her hair, the looks they both share.. Everything was just awesome.. Again they played of each other really well.. Especially the looks they both shared.. And see how content nandini looks.. The mission *let it go* successful.. Even in the end how she brings him back from dreamland and they leave.. that part was lovely too..
Surprisingly i liked amps and nandu scene too.. The way amps is annoyed, angry and disappointed with her going away like that at night... The little bit conversation about maanik.. Liked it.. It wasnt like yesterday where she just refuses to listen to her.. She listens but nandu's act of going out at night is really not something that can help her situation... What i liked in this is nandu didnt hide where she went, she tells her that the introduction was wrong... And amps also not just saying sleep, but atleast trying to put her points about things being wrong if they need to be hidden, about the point about fight of friends.. That was really better (and yes i still cant get over how they executed the scene to make maanik look bad.. yet if i just think about the jist it was well)
Amps going away like that -- this seems like just a way to stretch this further than concert and that annoys me.. But atleast the letter she wrote seems convincing enough.. So liked that part..
I am really in mode to completely FF Navya-cabir scenes.. Not sure when i will really be able to watch those scenes but that track is lost upon me...
Pandit is happy because his plan to use amps to show maanik in bad light seems to have worked in his eyes.. But thats just his smugness.. He doesnt know how much secure they both are right now about each other to have any influence by third party.. So lets just see how the concert day plays out.
Finally that day is here.. I am just worrying if it will turn out even half as much as they have been projecting it to be..
