CHAPTER 3

Nandini walked towards her seat with a smile on her face. She sat with Navya. Navya said that she will bring lunch for both and walked away. Nandini was alone again. She started thinking about Manik again. She recalled the train scene and started blusing. At the same time Navya came and saw her blushing and asked her about it. She realized what she was doing and she said to herself," What is wrong with me? Mai itna kyu soch rahi hu Manik ke bare me? I should stop thinking about him and concentrate on my studies. But the way he looks at me, makes my heart skip a beat. His chocolate brown eyes, His dark brown hair look so sexy pushed back and his perfect jawline. Omg he is so hot." Suddenly Navya shook her shoulders and she came out of the trance. They both start eating their food.

Navya: Nandu. Tum theek to ho na?

Nandini: Han navya. Mujhe kya hua?

Navya: Nandu mujhe pata hai tum Manik ke bare me soch rahi ho. Par dhyaan rakhna wo bilkul acha nahi hai. Hum jante hai un sab ko.

Nandini: Hmm.( "Kya Navya sach keh rahi hai?"She says to herself)

Meanwhile, Fab5 are also having their lunch. Aliya and Mukti are gossiping and bitching about others. Dhruv is as usual silent. Manik and Cabir are lost in their thoughts.

Cabir to Manik: Manik Mujhe pata hai tu kiske bare me soch raha hai. Please itna mat soch.And be normal in front them. Warna inko doubt hojayega.

Manik to Cabir: Hmm..

Manik: Guys. Bohot dino se humne practice nai ki hai. So let's practice today and have some fun.

Mukti: Yeah. Our Manik is back.

Cabir: That's a nice idea. Abhi chalte hai, waise bhi mujhe lectures attend nahi karna hai.

Dhruv: But Cabir, Aaj first day hai and aaj hi miss kaise kar sakte hai.

Manik: Ya okay. No problem. So guys I will see you at class. Mujhe kuch kam hai.

Manik gets up and is about to go when Aliya holds his hand and she also gets up.

Aliya's eyes fill with tears. Just then a guy comes and holds Manik's collars and says," How dare you hurt my sister?" The guy was none other than Harshad. Harshad punches Manik and Manik also gives a punch in return. They both start fighting. Everyone gathers around. Nandini and Navya also come there. Nandini gets shocked seeing them and no one is trying to stop them.

Nandini: Navya, Ye sab kya ho raha hai? Koi rokta kyu nahi hai inko?

Navya: Nandu, Ye harshad hai humara hero aur Aliya ka bhai. Jab Manik aur Harshad fight karte hai tab koi unhe nahi rokta.

Nandini was shocked. She thought that it wasn't right and she should stop them. But Aliya came between them. She tried to stop Harshad and Cabir tried to pull Manik away from Harshad.

Aliya: Bhai please don't create a scene here. Just go. Bhai please go.

Harshad: Aliya, I am not going to listen this time. Manik hurt my sister. This time I won't leave him.

Aliya: Bhai, Please for my sake just go.

Harshad: Aliya tum hamesha Manik ki side kyu leti ho? Whatever, I will leave just for your sake.

He gave an angry look to Manik and left from there. Manik was fuming with anger. He pushed away Cabir and then kicked a chair in front of him and left from there. Nandini got scared seeing Manik so angry.

Mukti: Yah ape koi movie chal rahi hai kya? Everyone get out.

Aliya with tears in her eyes: I am sorry guys.

Dhruv gave her a side hug and said: It's not your fault Aliya. Stop crying.

Mukti: Han Aliya. Just forget about it.

Everyone left from there. Cabir went behind Manik. Nandini and Navya went to their class room. Mukti, Aliya and Dhruv also entered the classroom. They were late so the teacher scolded them and told them to sit away from each other as their punishment. The teacher said Mukti to sit with Navya, Aliya to sit with Rohan and Dhruv to sit with Nandini. Dhruv came near Nandini and gave smile to her and sat with her.

Nandini: Hi. I am Nandini.

Dhruv: Hi. I am dhruv.

They didn't speak anything for some time. It was Maths class. Dhruv was not able to solve a problem so Nandini thought of helping him.

Nandini: Dhruv. I will help you. Wait. (She explained Dhruv how to solve the problem)

Dhruv: Thanks.

Nandini smiled: You are welcome.

Dhruv also gave his shy smile. The class ended after some time. Dhruv was about to get up. But Nandini called him so he turned back.

Dhruv: Tumne bulaya mujhe?

Nandini: Han. Wo. ( She offered her hand) Friends?

Dhruv smiled and accepted her hand: Friends.

Nandini: So I will see you later. Bye

Dhruv: Bye.

Mukti and Aliya saw this scene and they went near dhruv

Mukti: dhruv, Tu uss Nandini ke sath kyu bat kar raha tha?

Dhruv: Wo.. She helped me in Maths. And now we are friends.

Mukti: Friends? Like seriously?

Aliya: Mukti, forget it na. We should go and find Manik and Cabir. Manik was so angry. I hope he is fine.

They both agreed and left from there. Meanwhile, Manik went to the music room and started playing his guitar in anger. Cabir also reached there and tried to control him. But he was so angry that he told Cabir to get out. Cabir also understood and left from there. Meanwhile, Aliya Mukti and Dhruv met Cabir and Cabir told them that no one should go towards manik. After Maths class there were 3 more classes. Nandini and Navya attended it and then left from there.

AT NIGHT

After having dinner, everyone headed towards their rooms. As soon as Nandini and Navy reached their room , Navya slept. Nandini wasn't able to sleep. Nandini took the jar of fireflies and started talking with her fireflies," Mai kya karu mujhe samajh nahi aa raha hai. Manik acha hai ya bura hai. Sab us se darte hai. But mujhe aisa kyu lagta hai ki wo sabke samne jo dikhata hai wo waisa nahi hai." Meanwhile, Manik and Cabir were in their room. Manik was calm now.

Cabir: Manik baba aapke andar ka jo monster tha wo ab shaant hogaya?

Manik: Cabir!

Cabir: What Cabir? Tujhe pata bhi hai tu gusse me hum sab ko kitna dara deta hai.

Manik: Shut up cabir. Chhodd ye sab. Sote hai.

Cabir: Okay boss!

Manik went on his bed and closed his eyes. He remembered the bus scene where Nandini was in his arms. He opened his eyes with a disgusted look and said to himself," What the hell? Why am I thinking about that commoner? I should stay away from her. Yes, I will not think about her and from tomorrow I will be back to being the monster." He smirked and went to sleep.

At the same time Nandini remembered how Manik was behaving with her in the class room and then she remembered Manik's fight with Harshad. She said to herself," I think Navya sahi keh rahi hai. Mujhe us se durr rehna chahiye. I know he is the most handsome guy I have ever seen, his eyes are so.. NOOO.. NOO . What am I doing? Arghh.. I should just forget about him and concentrate on my studies." She went to her bed still thinking about Manik and then She tried hard not to think about him and then went to sleep.

The teacher: Good morning everyone. Today I am going to assign you all some projects related to music. 2 Students will work on one project. So here are the pairs: Navya and Harshad, Mukti and cabir, Aliya and Dhruv, Manik and Nandini, Rohan and Niti, Varun and Sanaya.

Navya is very happy, Aliya is jealous, Manik and Nandini look at each other and Cabir smirks while looking at MaNan.

NEXT MORNING

It was bright sunny day. Nandini woke up due to the sunrays falling on her. She opened her eyes slowly and stood up from the bed and was going towards the washroom when she saw the clock and it was already 7:30 am. She rushed to the washroom and took a shower as fast as possible. She came back to her room and realized that she hasn't seen Navya since she woke up. Then she looked at the time and erased all the thoughts and rushed towards the assembly hall. Manik and Cabir were also late and they were also running towards the assembly hall. The principal of the school was heading towards the assembly hall and Manik saw him.

Manik: Shit! Ab andar gaye to we are dead.

Cabir: han yaar. Jane de nahi jayenge.

Manik: Yeah. Let's go. ( he stopped talking when he saw Nandini running towards the assembly hall)

Manik and Cabir were standing at a corner. As soon as he saw her going towards the assembly he pulled Nandini towards them and kept his hand on Nandini's face so that she doesn't scream. Nandini's eyes widened when she saw Manik and Cabir. She was hell scared. She thought that they both will bully her. They both were looking into each other's eyes. Nandini broke their eye lock and stamped on Manik's foot so that he goes away.

Manik: AAhhh..What the hell?

Nandini: Tum mujhe yaha kyu leke aaye? Don't you dare try to bully me.

Manik: Hey you commoner. What do you think of yourself huh?

Nandini: Hey you monster Manik. What do you think of yourself? Tum kuch bhi nahi kar sakte. Samjhe?

Manik was fuming with and anger and was about to say something when Cabir interrupted.

Cabir: Nandini, He was just helping you.

Nandini: Helping me? Huh? Tumhare iss friend ki wajahse assembly miss hoagyi.

Manik got angry again and pinned Nandini to the wall.

Nandini: What the hell are you doing? Go away.

Manik went closer and said: And you think I will listen to you?

Nandini made a puppy face and said: Please, let me go.

Manik's anger melted seeing her cute face and he removed his hands from the wall. Taking the advantage of the situation, Nandini ran from there and turned back and said," Manik Malhotra is a fool." Manik was stunned and Cabir started laughing.

Manik: Ab tujhe kya hua? Why are you laughing?

Cabir said while laughing: Wo Nandini tujhe fool banake chali gayi and tu usko dekhta reh gaya. Love is in the air!

Manik: Cabir! Shut up and let's go to the canteen.

They both go to the canteen and it was empty. After some time all the students came there. Mukti, Aliya and Dhruv joined Cabir and Manik. Dhruv asked them that why didn't they attend the assembly and Manik explained him that they got late. Everyone started eating but Aliya was very sad and Manik noticed this. He got up and held Aliya's hand and made her stand. She was looking down when Manik hugged her and said," Aliya I am really sorry for behaving so rudely with you. I know I was wrong but we are bffs, right?" Aliya smiled and broke the hug and said," its okay Manik. And I am also sorry." Manik smiled and they sat on the chairs and started eating.

Cabir said dramatically: Wahh ! kya dosti hai! Aankhon me aasu aagaye.

Everyone started laughing.

Aliya: Cabir you and your cheesy lines.

At the same time, Nandini was sitting with Navya and Harshad comes and joins them. Navya starts blushing.

Navya: Good morning Harshad ji. Yeh Nandini hai humari dost.

Harshad: Hi Nandini. You are a brave girl ha!

Nandini: Hi Harshad. But why are you saying that?

Harshad: I have heard that you spoke against Manik.

The teacher: Good morning everyone. Today is our first music class for this year. So like every year I will assign you all some projects and you have to submit it after a month. But this time it's going to be a little different.

The teacher takes out a sheet from his bag and says: I will introduce myself first. I am Raghav Sehgal. I am going to teach you music. So this time, 2 people will work together. I will call out the names and the students will collect their project sheets from me. So the pairs are: Navya and Harshad( Navya starts blushing and goes towards raghav sir with Harshad, take their sheet and go back to their seats), Aliya and Dhruv( They both smile and take their sheet), Mukti and Cabir, Rohan and Niti, Varun and Sanaya, Manik and Nandini( They both look at each other with a shocking expression.)

They both get up and walk slowly towards Raghav sir and take their sheets. Aliya gets jealous and it was noticed by Dhruv so he keeps his hand on her shoulders to calm her down. Manik and Nandini come back to their seats and again look at each other. Cabir notices this and smiles at Manik but he didn't notice as he was buzy staring at Nandini.

Raghav sir: So guys, you have a month to prepare your songs and you have to perform it in front of the whole school and the winner will be decided by our chief guest. (The bell rang) So, I will see you all tomorrow.

Harshad and Navya come towards Nandini and fab4 come towards Manik.

Harshad: Are you fine Nandini?

Nandini: Yes I am fine. Mujhe kya hoga?

Navya: Wo rakshas tumhara partner hai na isiliye Harshadji aisa puch rahe hai.

Nandini: Navya don't worry. Mai handle kar lungi.

At the same time,

Mukti: Manik what are your plans?

Manik: What plans?

Mukti: Nandini ko tang karne ke liye.

Manik: Ohh. ( Nandini murthy, it's going to be so much fun. Just wait and watch and he smirks)

Aliya: What are you thinking Manik?

Fab5 leaves from there and they find Navni and Harshad talking outside the class room. Manik smirks looking at Nandini and leaves from there. Everyone follows him giving there evils smiles to them except for Dhruv. Nandini gets scared when Manik smirks looking at her. Nandini says to herself," Ab ye kya soch raha hai?"
