EXACTLY!! I was bout to say that...
She held it correctly then.
one end was on her lap while the other on the mat...

.these people are very inconsistent!!!

Yeah but the problem with Niti's lip sync is that she nods and jerks her head too much maybe...she makes it seem like she's doing a nursery rhyme.(imo)

I think cvs should take care of this...it hurt eyes to see nandini playing veena incorrectly.

Totally Random. In the movie Hum dil de chuke sanam, specially in the song, albela, Aishwariya is seen to play a Tanpura(another classical musical instrument) , and I was amazed seeing her play it, she used the correct fingers and held the instrument correct way. I was super impressed...

So just a little training wont hurt Niti , if you want to show her playing veena for the next few days...and its going to play an important role in fusion concert.

awww dushtu,aa gale lag ja...🤗
what a perfect example you gave...yes instead of working so hard day and night on those meaningless kiss-misses,they should train their actors about these basic things...because we all want our manan do their best...

Aliya! TK won't point out! It isn't something which a teacher is ignoring! Teacher himself doesn't know because director or CVs don't know! It's not character's or actor's mistake! It is an execution error! 😳
It's like they have made concept of these characters so big and execution isn't helping in justifying those concepts!

In classical music, a lot of things are to be taken care of. I remember my Guru, she was so strict with tiny details even. My instrument is harmonium. Now if you pump too much air into its bellows , I used to get scolded for that. Even your posture should be good! Discipline is must!
But we understand its fiction, they can't go into details and I never actually pointed it out! It's fine but now this Veena thing is totally eye sore! It lacks conviction! I feel disconnected to scene!

I would say it subtle singing or maybe happy singing! 😆 Making faces while singing is taken as offence in Indian classical music. Contradictions and exceptions are always there!😆
To be honest, it didn't bother me much if she is quite soft in singing!
And I get your point here! 😳
Passion derives Manik hence sometimes too much force in lip sync! Delicacy in her lips sync goes well with musical background and character!

Buhbye A&A! Gotta go...
This was a good, enlightening GD! :D

P.S.: Aditi...I get your point about the soft singing...I'm not too adamant on the lip-sync...just want them to do something about classical execution woes

i know granny,i know..what i am trying to say that i or we can overlook this mistake if panditji pointed out her mistake taking her state of mind at that moment being disturbing..but if teacher himself ignores it,then the blame definitely goes to everyone,be it the creatives, directors,ADs than the actors..afterall actors themselves have admitted in their interviews that they do exactly what they were ask to do,then only give their own inputs..example the kiss..what input they can give there is not it?

Beta! I get it! I am saying it that actors are nowhere at fault! They do their jobs! Who is captain of ship?? Director! He okays a scene then only we get it! It's like he is okaying a poor scene where Veena has been insulted 😆 By not showing TK pointing it out, they are making a mockery of Guru as well as show! 😆

i agree to your point Aditi, being a rockstar,parth/manik's lip sync perfectly suits the character, similarly being a classical singer,Nandini is adapted for soft lip syncing...
@Belle,regarding her head movement,if you take the examples of our own semi/classical singers when try some other zoner they behave exactly like that(example Hariharan)..
