Eveline, words fail me today and u know why ... Kudos to the CVs for giving such memorable Manan moments, adorable yet soulful... Such writing is what makes KY2 stand out in this mediocre world of Indian television.
You ask, does such a guy exist? Well in our dreams maybe. The not so perfect guy but still perfect in every sense. But then reality strikes and I wake up.
The minute he gets her message, his own discomfort forgotten. Nandini u played well here, knowing very well he will come rushing. But little did u know that he will bring an entire ice cream factory along with him. I can so imagine the plight of the ice cream vendor, where Monster Manik would have gone to purchase all these flavours...
And while he is figuring out ways on how to let her know that he is here, she confronts him. Manik beta, chori pakdi gayi... His harsh tone returns but he still cannot complete his sentence " So u be ready when the next time I... " But my dear, she is not scared of this monster anymore. Bring it on... She is pleased to see the ice cream boxes. But he as always trying to cover up his TLC.. And then the outburst.
" It hurts to hurt you... It burns inside... " He is trying hard to be the monster, but failing every single time. His love for her surpasses any emotion he has ever felt, no boundaries, no barriers. But still his hurt at her betrayal is not letting him to forgo the anger. He is helpless in love and only she can cure him. While he is being truthful with her regarding his confused state of mind, she is letting him be. Because any reassurances at this point will not help Manik.
As u said Eveline, the blissful pleasure in looking at her. She starts enjoying the ice cream her Manik has got for her, the balm for her pain. And he simply watches her, no words for this serene moment. The tender looks, the satisfaction, that faint smile on his face. Pure bliss. " Seducing her, demanding her" Yes rightly said my dear. He anyways doesn't like ice cream, but Nandini... his eyes light up...
And then she offers him some too. Yes Manik, seize the opportunity my boy. And he doesn't disappoint. The oh so sensuous licking of her fingers, enjoying every second of it, his eyes never leaving her face.. Wow beautifully executed scene. Is this the work of the new director? I am impressed 👏
His love, this all consuming love. It is so evident that he wants to give all of himself to her. He has surrendered in front of her. Yet something stops him. He is selfless yet selfish. Kaisa yeh ishq hai. Haan Nandini is lucky to have this gem of a guy besides her, giving her the simple pleasures of life but in the most weirdest of ways. But then that is the reason why we adore this man or rather boy who has till now led a Dark life, deprived of love, in a world where love is mocked upon... But Nandini will make him smile. She will do away with all the wrongs and set everything right.
So you wish that one day we will find our own personal Manik Malhotra. Hmmm... But what about people like us? You know what I mean😉
And how can I end without talking abt our Mr.Foodie. I am sure he would have personally gone to BR to bring those tubs, all his personal favoruites. Aur sab khatam bhi kiya hoga with a smug smile.
