Of Magical Sunsets and Open Wounds:Some thoughts

Dear all,
thank you for the warm welcome yesterday😳

The episode today blew my mind. Besides SRK and RK, no one has actually made me cry with a scene, and today Parth did (not saying Niti wasn't absolutely amazing too) but it was his expressions that tugged at my heart more.
Anyway, needless to say I absolutely loved the episode today: all the scenes were GOOD.
And there was magic, in two scenes:

1. Cabir. He is one of the most wonderfully rich and amazing characters I have seen on this show. SO amazing..I respect him today for what he did. His no-nonsense approach👏 His refusal to give up on Manik-Nandini, his refusal to say goodbye😳

2. Sunsets and Wounds
The blood-shot sky and a heartbroken couple, so much in love that for a brief spell, they stood with each other, united in pain.

It was so beautiful, so poignant and so special. Their breaks are somethings to be treasured..It's where they sacrifice everything of themselves just to give in to that which connects them together.
It's so strange, Manik says Nandini let him down, and yet, here he was:sharing his vulnerability with her again; there he was, defending her to Alia, protecting her from Nyonika, pulling her to himself again. Why?
Because the pain of letting her go is like tearing away his heart from his chest, and his soul from his body. That broken boy has begun his transition from a boy to a man, a more mature individual because pain inevitably makes us grow.
I do not have words to describe all that that scene made me feel, and quite honestly, at this point, I do not even wish to look into the logistics of the track or the way their relationship should or ought to proceed, simply because they have something that will always lead them to one another.

I do not think that is only because Nandini is Manik's star; nor that Manik is Nandini's strength.
It is because their light, their shining star is love, a bond between them that I know now will not be broken.
It is that light that shows them the way, time and again: to one another; it is that that makes them desperately angry, or insanely sad, or madly passionate in relation to each other. And to see these moments: I'll take the pain; if these separations and misunderstandings will make that light brighter, then bring it on baby!
Will they make mistakes? Yes. Will they misunderstand and hurt each other? Yes. Will they be all sacrificing for each other and inevitably lack communication that they so sorely need sometimes that one wants to smack their heads together, yes?
But when they are lost in the darkness alone, they will find each other and then, they can at least be lost together😉
So, yes, they are each others' epicentres, and that tiny gesture of Nandini's when she just puts her head on the back of his shoulder, that shook him. He couldn't even bring himself to hug her, because if he did, he knew he'd never let go.
And when she left, he couldn't bear the thought of letting her go.

Let me be hurt in silence, let me break into pieces with every tear she sheds because of me,
but let her do it in front of me, let her break me by being around me.
Please stop me before I break. Every step I take away from you, I push us away, and I can't push us away, but I cannot do this on my own. Once. Just once. Call to me. Please stop me before I get lost in the world again and break ours forever.

This wasn't how forevers are meant to be; this wasn't our forever. We just found each other: we can't let go and battle a long lonely never-ending night again. Let us go then, our separate ways, and we will meet again, when it is right. For meet, we will. And fall, we will. This time, I will hold you tight, till your defences crumble. This time, I will see my man behind the monster and the child.
We will fight again, we will argue, and we will love each other. But for now,

chalo ek baar phir se ajnabee ban jaayein hum dono
na main tumse koi umeed rakhu dilnawazi ki

Woh afsana jise anjam tak lana na ho mumkin
Use ek khoobsurat modh dekar chhodna achcha

The beauty of the scene was its simplicity and the play with light and shadows. the fact that there is that light right in front of him and yet he's chosen to shield himself, by hiding in cool shadows😭

I hope we see some amazing scenes this week, I really hope so..
I miss them, and today reminded me why I was missing them so much😊

Okay, zyada ho gaya na?
Sorry😆

Love

wow..your analysis is pretty damn amazing and i had to cmment to show my appreciation but please bear in mind..i am on from my phone and i will make a zillion mistakes ( you have been warned)
firstly i loved the fact that you mentioned Cabir..not only he is a Manan shipper..he is a sensible guy who has endured more than guys at his age do..and he is one my favs..he has fallen in love..he has gotten hurt in love and he doesn't want Manan to go through the same thing. Honestly a gem of a friend. straight forward but full of love and concern for his friends

the entire 'break' scene was beautiful..so beautiful as you described it in words i won't be able to. i specially loved the sunset scene with Manik where the judaai song is playing in the background..The lyrics speaking of the heart embracing the pain..damn...parth damn nailed it. my heart cried out for Manik..

and that back hug and he closes in eyes in sheer relief his heart feels at the touch of the girl he loves so much. the break was such a welcome excuse to be able to touch her freely...tp bathe in the warmth that his Nandu is..how lean hands inched closer and closer needing to wipe the tears he has indeed caused her to shed
and that little push. that was his mind kicking him and his defence mechanism. but yet the heart demands that he gets a last long look at it's reason for being.
Niti taylor is pretty amazing but Parth made the entire scene something else..he way he emotes with his eyes..his expressions say so much..kudos to both of them for pulling the scene oft so well

amazing post Geet

Hey Reya!
Thank you for commenting!
And thanks a lot for liking the post! For someone typing from her phone, it's pretty perfect😳😆

I guess together, they create magic anywhere: add a little sun to it and it's perfect😃

Those little gestures of manik as reacting to her touch were amazing...added to the poignancy of the scene, as u mention..
That last look...I mean, it must be so hard to walk away from that kind of love..must have taken a lot from Nandini to..I think that's why she ran away😭

I swear, I want to hug Cabir so tight and tell him it'll be okay...that we will always be his friends..he's a gem of a person, really. Initially, I used to think it would be Dhruv and Manik, but Manik and Cabs have gotten much closer and I feel Nandini and Cabir have become better friends than Dhruv and Nandini too..
I mean, just see how the dynamic worked in the music room with Dhruv saying goodbye and Cabir refusing to👏
Wonderfully, tightly portrayed emotions that showed how he can see the pain written on Manik's and Nandu's faces

Loved how you described yesterday's scene. I simply loved the way the entire terrace scene was shot. It was breathtaking. If this is a sample of what the new director is capable of, I'm sure looking forward to more such episodes. I loved Manik-Alya scene too. The guy has really matured over the last six months. He has learnt to be more tolerant and understanding. From blaming Alya and her lack of trust in him for their breakup, he has grown up enough to acknowledge that they didnt work as a couple, she was sweet and deserves a guy who can love and take care of her. It gives hope that he will be able to understand and accept Nandu with all her flaws for he just cant live without her.

Hey u! Hugs!
And thanks! :*
Yes! I really liked the alya-manik scenetoo! 😳
What i noticed besides all that is Manik didn't wipe her tears away.. Kya karu? Everything he does affects! Haha
I am glad they can be friends now, without any past baggage.. And it gives me hope too, someday, he'll be able to finally accept a relationship which isn't always perfect, but is perfect for him.

After all, forevers come at the end of long, dangerous and painful journeys :)

Like the parallel you drew here with Manik.Cabir and Manik/Dhruv respectively. Initally i had felt that Dhruv was Manik's guy and vice versa but when Nandini entered the picture, it really changed their equation because Manik couldn't turn to Dhruv for obvious reasons hence Cabir being the observant one..and plus he gave good advice.lol. he became Manik's guy.
And same goes for Dhruv and Nandu, Manan's developing relationship couldn't allow for them to develop a strong friendship..and Cabs played love guru for Nandu too.
And Dhruv's easy acceptance for Nandu leaving and Cab's adamant refusal speaks volumes for the kind of friendships we will see in the future.
