Ok all the hullabulloo going on but I am on a train of my own. I have fast forwarded into the future where all may not be perfect but definitely better than now.đ
Navya is pregnant and living with Cabir still which is beyond Cabir but they have bonded somewhat and now Cabir is even used to the black and white Madhubala' and her drama. Whether he wanted to or not he couldn't avoid the fact that she was pregnant and that wasn't just because of her throwing up at all times but also because of the scare she had given him a week ago when she had woke him up by crying and whimpering with pain. She had been in extreme pain and she was doubled up because of it. When u spend the entire night holding someone's hand in a hospital you do BOND. After that fiasco Cabir had started reading up on pregnancy because he didn't want to be caught in that situation ever again. Nandini was a great support during the day but at night he had to take care. It wasn't a choice anymore.
Manik had been a support as well in his own way as he kept him sane. He was used to coming over and teasing him or maybe he dropped by unexpectedly just so he could see Nandini as she was also around a lot but whatever the reason they both were their support system and no one could ask for better friends than these two. The ice age may be over and the thaw may have set in but the wind could be quite chilly when Manik and Nandini were in the same area and when they were in the same small apartment you could unexpectedly get caught in the war zone where the barbs could come flying anytime.
Navya was having her mood swings these days and wanted to eat weird things at weird times of the day. Cabir was having none of this and Nandini was now used to getting caught in the middle and end up being the referee and if Manik was around then the whole situation would end up being spicier than it should have been but she was used to that as well by now. She was still trying to persuade Navya when the bell rang and who else but Manik. Cabir sighed but said hey man thank God! u r here. Come on let's get out of here Navya is driving me insane with her complaints.' Manik the monster that he was smirked and rubbed his hands in glee and said Oooh! so entertainment channel on hai. Was getting bored so decided to get entertained.'
What kind of friend are you man?' Cabir complained. The true kind.' Said Manik and chuckled. Navya got bored with the current topic so switched to her other favourite topic that is food. God! You eat so much how come u haven't burst as yet. I am telling u guys all the money I get from my job as RJ is either spent on rent or her food.' said Cabir at his wits end. Nandini smiled "Oh Cabir you are such a sweet heart." Cabir got embarrassed and said Nothing like that. She would eat me if there wasn't food so it is all for me.' Haan tou theek hai na I make food for him to eat na. But let's forget all that I want to eat jalebis right now.' said Navya. Oh no you don't.' said Cabir. Not after last week's fiasco. No more eating out and no more weird requests.' Even Nandini was worried and she said, haan na Navya. Cabir is right and we don't know what ingredients they are using and the oil... you know you need to be careful. Cabir said, thank God! Someone has a brain here. I read on the net that sometimes vendors get the cheapest of stuff.'
Oh how sweet daddy Cabir has been reading up on healthy food for the baby.' Manik was enjoying himself too much and knew they could handle the situation. He'll only intervene if the situation became out of control because he knew Navya still thought of him as a Rakhshas and he found it funny and used it to his advantage as per situation. Shut up Manik,' said an exasperated Cabir. "Oh no no man come on tell what else u know." Manic was having fun but he also understood that Cabir had to be responsible if he was living with a pregnant girl and he fully approved but couldn't stop himself from having fun at his friends expense. Navya did not like all this. "You are all ganging up on me and I want those jalebis. U don't understand I need them and the baby has decided that she wants jalebis so will have them. The jalebis are calling me and I am going to them and that's final." Nandini bit her lip to stop herself from laughing and her eyes met Manik's and he started to look down at the floor so he wouldn't burst out laughing. Nandini could see that a familiar fight scene was about to start so she gave Cabir a placating smile and coaxed Navya and prayed that Jalebi crazed Navya will listen to her. "Navya ah I'm sure you want them now but Cabir is also right you need to be more careful in earlier months." "Oh Dr. Nandu knows all I see." Manik murmured. Nandini gave him a look and he smirked making her want to punch him. "We can make home made jalebis here," said an excited Nandini. So happy with her brilliant plan. Navya was super impressed "You know how to make jalebis?" "No, but how difficult can they be? We can check recipes on the net and then problem solved." "Oh yes problem solved," said Manik sarcastically. "If they are anything like bhindi pasta we'll be spending another night in the hospital." Navya doubled over with laughter. Nandini just shook her head at her and gave Manik another one of her looks. "Joke tha? oh Manik Malhotra made a joke. So funny! Hahaha! Do u want to eat some more I can ask chachi?" She threatened.
"Yaar yeh bhindi pasta kya hai and what has it got to do with jalebis?" Nandini shook her head at him and said "Just ignore the monster Cabir and let's look for recipes." They found one that said easy jalebi recipe. Nandini wrote down the ingredients and said' "I don't think we have everything here so Cabir you'll have to get some of the stuff." "Ok", said a resigned cabir. "Manik you staying?" "Yeah of course buddy don't want to miss the show aur waisay bhi aaj ya tou jalebis banein gi ya phir tera apartment jalay ga. But seriously can't miss the show. You'll need help later on for moving into my place." Cabir rolled his eyes "yaar seriously man the situation is getting out of hand. If things continue this way next time when you come around I'll be the one making jalebis. Madhubala has one track mind these days." Manic smiled and patted cabir on the back "you're doing a good job man but I am not going to stop ragging you." Cabir just rolled his eyes again and said sarcastically "thanks buddy." Manik started laughing.

Manik and Cabir got back with the ingredients. Nandini and hyper Navya entered the kitchen. And after few minutes Cabir groaned and Manik started laughing when they heard the song jalebi bai coming from the kitchen. "Oh God someone shoot me! just shoot me right now!"
And after that the girls started singing with the song. Cabir said,"this is it. I can't take this after all I have to bear. Navyaaa...!!!! How many times have I told you not to play your music outside your room."
The irresistible sound of Nandini giggling drew Manik to the kitchen. By now Navya was dancing along with singing and making Nandini dance with her. Nandini looked adorable dancing and singing and giggling and reminded Manik of the giggling drunk Nandini. Manik smiled and looked down to hide it but Cabir saw it and gave him a dirty look. "Stop smiling dude. What is wrong with you? Can't you hear the stupid song?!"
Then while dancing Navya suddenly felt dizzy. Cabir and Nandini both helped her. But she pushed them away. "I just need to eat something sweet. I am fine."
But Cabir was having none of this. "You come and sit down."
Navya glared at him, "I said I am fine you just don't want me to have fun." She again felt dizzy and was about tp topple the pot of bubbling sheera on the stove. Nandini looked worriedly at Manik so he intervened. And one look from him and Navya walked out of the kitchen with tears in her eyes. Nandini looked exasperatedly at him and he shrugged.
"She's pregnant so she's extra sensitive dude. But thanks.", murmured Cabir. "Sometimes i think you are the pregnant one dude. one minute you are shouting at her and the next you act like her mother," said an exasperated Manik.
Nandini was about to walk after her when Manik grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "Let Cabir deal with her and you finish making jalebis. And stop looking at me like I'm a monster!" Then laughed, "oh sorry! go ahead I am a monster."
Nandini gave him the look specially reserved for him and he smiled. "Stop hovering!", said an exasperated Nandini.
"I'm not hovering. I'm just making sure you don't burn down the place." " Oh really?!"
"Yes really."said Manik. But he was actually enjoying deliberately moving things around and teasing her.
Nandini gave him a narrow eyed look and said, "Go and check on Navya the first batch is almost done but someone needs to taste them first."
At Manik's evil grin she couldn't help but giggle. "You love torturing him don't you?"
" What are friends for? Hey Cabir dude come here."
"What now? I am getting heart palpitations now when I'm at home and dude I'm not even married like seriously remember that conversation we had about all men turning gay? There is just no point. Even gays aren't safe anymore. These females..."
He shut up when Manik shoved a jalebi in his mouth he saw the look on Nandini's face and then burst out laughing because Manik was pretending to look as if he had no idea what Cabir was talking about."How is it?" Manik asked with gritted teeth.
Cabir looked surprised while he said, "Not bad! Actually..." having another, "Seriously good." He high fived Nandini and said, "you are a true savior. But did u write down the recipe because i'm telling Navya seems possessed to me sometimes and i can assure you we are going to making these again."
At all the excitement even Navya showed up and after having jalebi went in a trance. Nandini made another batch while the entire time Navya and Cabir danced on Jalebi bai.

Nandini looked at her friends eating jalebis and dancing on the same song which had annoyed the hell out of Cabir only a little while ago and shook her head, smiled and thought, crazy, both of them. They both needed each other so badly that even they didn't realize it. Navya needed someone to take care of her and Cabir was doing that brilliantly. Cabir needed to remain busy so that he didn't constantly think about all the things that had gone wrong in his life and Navya was doing a brilliant job of that. With Navya around Cabir hardly had a thought for himself and these days she was working steadily on driving him insane.
Manik just shook his head and thought how life had changed. He looked at Nandini who was thoughtfully chewing a jalebi and looking at the dancing duo with a smile on her face. She turned suddenly and looked accusingly at him. Manik rolled his eyes. Obviously he had done something wrong. "Hey! So by which one of the hundred ways I generally annoy you, have I annoyed you this time?" Nandini wiped the counter and ignored him. Manik took a deep breath, grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him, "Don't piss me off." Nandini just smiled sweetly and said, "Are you sure you want to touch me? Won't it turn you gay?" "God seriously?! Cabir was just kidding, he is living with Navya. Anyone would turn gay."
"Manik!" said Nandini punching him in the stomach. Manik just snickered.
"Come on guys what are you doing there? Manik dude did you try the jalebi it's awesome." Said a very happy Cabir. "What did you put in those? He is looking as if he is high on something."Manik asked looking incredulously at Cabir. "I think it's the sugar." Just then Navya came dancing and humming, "Come on Nandu lets partyyy!!!" and started pulling her. "Ok...ok...relax Navya. I think u should sit down now."
"What? sit down? No way...no way...no wayyy." Navya unbeknownst to herself was shouting at the top of her voice. Manik winced, "You had the jalebi and you haven't gone insane. I think they are on some sort of drug. God! Is she a singer? Seriously? My ears." Nandini shrugged her shoulders, "I had just two and they've had a whole plate full of them. And you didn't have even one." Pouted Nandini. "I've never eaten any", said Manik. "What? Never?", said Nandini incredulously. "That is weird. Come on you have to try these. I made them." "Not if ill turn into one of them." Said Manik staring at the crazy duo dancing merrily. Nandini rolled her eyes, "Nothing will happen to you! Come on, try one." Nandini held one to his mouth and he didn't have the will to resist that. He took a bite and looked surprised. "Cabir is right this actually tastes great. Good job." He looked at the rest of the jalebis and Nandini covered them protectively, "No way. These are for Navya." "I think she's had more than enough and so has Cabir," said Manik making his puppy dog face. Nandini just shook her head. "Ok fine but come on let's get out of here it's getting late. I'll drop you home." It was a standard conversation between them whenever Manik came over and it was time to go home but Nandini always made excuses and this time was no different. "Thanks but I can take a taxi whenever I'm ready to go. And I can't leave as yet." Nandini said looking pointedly at their friends. Manik sighed. "Just hide the rest of the jalebis and the recipe and let's leave because they are not coming down from their sugar high anytime soon. And I'm dropping you home and that's that." Nandini ignored him and went to Navya, "Navya...Navya aren't you feeling sleepy and tired after all that dancing?" Nandini asked hopefully. Navya just shook her head and pulled Nandini to dance with her. Manik sighed, "Why? Whyyy? Why doesn't she ever listen to me?" then he shrugged and had another jalebi thinking if you can't beat them join them.
