The problem began when in comparison to his flaws he began seeing Nandini as the perfect perfect person with no flaws. His light, his star. The right one. And not even that, but the fact that Manik began expecting too much without communicating too much.

But that's also understandable because Manik never really communicated before, ever. With Nandini, very slowly, he finally began to, also because Nandini didn't let him hide anymore. The problem is that having never communicated, he didn't realize, the extent of the need of true communication. The burdens kept piling, on him and her, it was bound to happen somewhere. They've both problems. Some sorted, some didn't. It's like a hyperbola, downhills only lead them up.

Now that Manik wants to return to darkness, he'll actually realize, that it no more has the same allure. That it maybe accepting and sympathetic and safe but it's also cruel, empty, lusterless and not him anymore. The pieces where he fit so perfectly before, they won't let him fit anymore. Ultimately he'll find his way back to light because darkness then would slowly cease to even be a choice.

Somewhere I feel that a Hug represents more to him...like its Pure Love or something...?
