Chapter 27

Manik ws driving the car with complete silence as both were feeling shy to say anything bt evry nw and then Manik ws constantly stealing glances of Nandini. Nandini ws also completely aware of this and ws jst blushing seeing this.Finally breaking the awkward silence amongst them Nandini speaks.

Nandini:Manik..will u stop staring me and focus on driving pls..i really dnt wna celebrate our first newyear lying in hospital okk..

Manik smiles listening this and then smirking at her says.

Manik:Well Nandini..u seriously think tht I would be able to focus on driving if my gf would be sitting next to me looking so breathtakingly beautiful..i mean which stupid guy would be intersted in driving while he can admire her gorgeous gf..

Nandini blushes hearing his compliments as she ws desperately waiting from so long to hear this from him.Finally controlling her blushing she decides to play along.

Nandini:Manik..if ur gf can manage herself to think straight while having a handsome bf like u seating next to her then definitely evn u can control urself.

Manik gets impressed with her answer and then looks at her with his sexy signature smirk and says.

Manik:Accha..if thts the case then trust me sweethearrt u really dnt need to control urself coz atleast m nt gona do tht.

Saying this he halts the car and pulls Nandini close to him suddenly and gently removing some curls from her face starts admiring her each features thoroughly.All tht Nandini could do nw ws to jst blush by putting her gaze down as she ws feeling too shy to even look at him.Manik then lifted her chin to make her look straight at him to see his fav thing ie. her blushing red cheeks which always leave him mesmerized by making him realize how strong effect he leaves on her.Slowly Nandini lifts her eyelashes and sees Manik staring at her with so much love in his intense eyes.Seeing her luscious red lips Manik couldn't hold back himself more and so hungrily goes crashing on them with his.Nandini too gives in quickly as it ws even hard for her too to resist his charms today.They both were passionately kissing eachother forgetting abt the party where their friends were desperatly waiting for them.Soon both broked the kiss as they were heavily panting nw.They were jst looking at each other intensely nt wnting to break this moment bt unfortunately Nandini's phone started to ring which broked their eyelock.It ws Dhruv calling her so she quickly picked it up by looking away from Manik while Manik again started driving with an irritataed look.

Nandini:Hello..

Dhruv:Hi Nandini...ur coming na so where are u..

Nandini:Ya Dhruv we are coming..we'll reach in 10 minutes okk..so see u there..

Saying this she cut the call and Manik started with his bickerings.

Manik:I dnt knw abt anything else bt ya one thing abt which m completely sure is tht wenever we are kissing someone or other had to call us in between to disturb us..

Nandini smiled at his comment and looked aside while Manik continues.

Manik:Bt u knw wat right nw muje bilkul bhi issbaat ki tension nai hai coz tonight I'll hold u rightfuly as my gf infront of evryone without worrying abt anyone.

Nandini:Sry to break ur bubble Manik bt if u have forgotten then let me remind u tht we have to jst pretend to be a couple nt actually behave like one infront of everyone okk..

Manik smirkingly:Watever sweetheart..bt u knw me right..watever I do, I do it with perfection so trust me this pretend bf job m gona make it so much fun for us both..

Nandini looked at him questningly and ws having serious doubts abt his intensions so eyeing him she asks.

Nandini:So Mr.Manik Malhotra wat are u upto..

Manik winking at her:Ms.Nandini Moorthy u'll soon find it urself..

Saying this he stops the car as they had arrived college.He steps out quickly from the car while Nandini ws jst busy analysing the meaning of his last statement.Pulling her out of her thoughts,Manik calls her name while opening the door for her jst like a gentleman and offers his hand to her.Nandini gets out of her thoughts and gets impressed by Manik's such a gesture and smilingly she takes his hand and comes out of the car.Manik then offers his arm for her to hold and says.

Manik:So ready to go inside my gorgeous pretend gf..

Nandini smilingly slids her arm inside his and says.

Nandini:Ofcourse my handsome pretend bf..

They both then starts moving towards the entrance like a perfect couple.As soon as they both enters the party hall all the gazes falls on them with everyone admiring the beautiful couple.Both feels a bit embarassed so they kept looking at each other wen suddenly fab5 comes to them.

Dhruv:Wow guys..u both are looking so good together..

Alya:Ya seriously...jst like a fairytale couple and Nandini is tht really u..i mean seriously ur looking so damn beautiful..

Manan starts blushing listening their compliments and jst shook their head in embarassment.Cabir notices this and decides to tease them.

Cabir:Woah guys...jst look over here..The Manik Malhotra is blushing..i mean can u guys believe it..wow Nandini ek hi din mai tumne Manik ko itna change kardiya..impressive yaar..

Manik glares at him while Nandini looks away.Mukti then speaks.

Mukti:Vaise Nandini to bohot beautiful lag hi rahi hai bt aaj Manik tu bhi hamesha se kuch jyada hi handsome lag raha hai..

Cabir teasingly:Obviously Mukti..handsome to lagna hi padega na afterall aaj usse Nandini ki beauty ko complement jo karna hai uska bf banke..aur vaise Manik lagta hai aaj tujhe shlok ke sath aur bhi bohot ladko ki nazar se Nandini ko bachana hai coz by seeing around we have many eyes stuck over Nandini today..

Hearing tis everyone looks around and sees many boys staring at Nandini which makes her feel abit embarassed while Manik ws burning with jealousy.Sensing Nandini's discomfort Mukti then suggest to move from there.

Mukti:Okk guys..bohot chedd liya in dono ko..nw lets move from here and go and have some drinks.

Evryone agrees and they then head towards the drinks counter.Evryone gets seated and have their drinks while Alya-Dhruv were busy staring at eachother.Nandini notices this and decides to tease the couple.

Nandini:Well u knw wat Alya..u were complementing me and Manik na bt frankly speaking hamdono se jyada to tum aur Dhruv eksath acche lag rahe ho..hai na guys

Mukti:Ya right Nandini..we never noticed before bt seriously Alya & Dhruv make a good pair yaar...

Manik:Ya buddy..aaj kuch special hai kya jo tu kuch jyada hi smile kar raha hai..

Both Dhruv&Alya blushes listening this while Nandini smirks and to save them says.

Nandini:Let it be na Manik..agar kuch special hoga to bhi they'll anyway let us knw aisa bar-bar questn karke bichare ko conscious mat banao..

Manik looks at her questningly bt then jst nods in agreement.And nw this gave another chance to Cabir to tease them.

Cabir:Wow Manik..nandini ne ek bar bola questn nai karne ko aur tu maan bhi gaya.. wah Manik lagta hai ek hi din mai tu to joru ka gulam ban gaya..

Manik glares at him and says:Shut up Cabir aisa kuch nai hai..

Cabir:Oye gadhe agar aisa nai hai to aisa karna..i mean bhul gaye kya tumlogo ko couples ki tarah pretend karna hai us shlok ke samne ..so tumdono aise door-door kyu ho..come closer guys and show us ur chemistry..

Mukti:Guys Cabir does have a point..u both need to look a bit more cozy with eachother.

And this is wat Manik ws waiting for as he very well knewd tht if he behaved awkward with her infront of all then they will only plead him to get closer to her.Seeing evrything happening jst like he wntd he started smirking as nw he can have his part of fun with his socalled "Pretend Gf".Seeing him smirking this way,Nandini understood wat ws going in his head and she then started thinking,"Oh so ab muje samaj aaya ke car mai ye muje konse fun ke bare mai bolraha tha..aiyaapa ye log isse mujse close hone kyu bol rahe hai..aisa karke to ye uska plan aur easy karrahe hai..".Manik then turns to Cabir and says.

Manik:Okk Cabir since u desperately wnt me to get closer to her then fine guys nw I'll do as u all say..

Saying this he got up from his seat and came closer to Nandini bt before he could do or say anything a waiter came to Manik and said tht Nyonika has to tlk with him nd she is calling him to meet her nw.This ws enough to ruin Manik's mood so he angrily storms out from there leaving everyone worried thinking hw is gona mood would be after he returns coz they all knew him very well.Suddenly Alya says.

Alya:Hey guys..jitne gusse mai Manik gaya hai..i jst hope ke vo utne hi gusse mai na return aaye coz bohot mushkil se vo agree hua tha to do this pretend gf-bf act seriously..so dnt knw agar vo vapas aane ke bad gusse mai ye act karneke liye ready hoga ya nai..

Evryone gets tense thinking abt this only.Meanwhile Manik angrily comes to Nyonika and says.

Manik:Wat the hell Nyonika..atleat aaj ke din to I thought u'll let me enjoy myself bt I guess no tum kabhi bhi muje chain se rehne nai dogi hai na..

Nyonika ws hurt by Manik's harsh comments as without even knwing the reason he jst started blaming her.Bt still composing herself,she spokes.

Nyonika:Well Manik..i dnt knw wen will u grow up to get tht maturity in urself to atleast think before speaking.Atleast pehle meri baat sun lete and then u could have reacted na..aur anyways maine tumhe yaha tumhe pareshan karne ke liye nai bulaya tha..i jst wntd to give u this..ur newyear gift thts it..bt I didn't knew tht I would get ur aggression as a return gift.

Saying this she furiously kept a box on a table infront of him and left from there leaving Manik confused for the first time for his actions.He then hesitantly took the box and kept it inside his pocket without opening it still thinking abt wat jst happnd nw.Meanwhile the rest of the gang were waiting for Manik to return while still hoping to keep his mood good.Suddenly Dhruv speaks.

Dhruv:Guys..manik ki tension chodo..jst look over there hamari dusri tension I mean tht shlok is coming towards us..

Listening this evryone turnd towards where Dhruv ws directing them and they saw shlok coming smilingly towards them especially staring at Nandini.Mukti then says.

Mukti:Oh shit guys..ye to hamre especially Nandini ki taraf hi aa raha hai..aur Manik bhi nai hai yaha usse manage karne..ab kya kare..

Cabir then tries to pacify saying:Chill guys..manik ke aane tak hamlog hai na..we'll mange him..and Nandini jst behave calmly infront of him okk.

Nandini nods in yes while others too tries to behave normaly.Shlok then comes to them and says.

Shlok:Hey guys..how are u all doing..

Dhruv on behalf of evryone says:Ya we all are good and enjoying a lot and wat abt u..

Shlok:Ya me too..

He then turns to Nandini and says.

Shlok:Wow Nandini u look so pretty tonight..u are actually giving all boys a hard time to breathe.

Nandini feels awkward with his compliments so she jst gives him a faint smile.Seeing him alone Mukti then asks.

Mukti:Vaise shlok..u came alone or wat..as we cant see ur date with u..

Shlok smiligly:Well actually Mukti..yes I did came alone only..muje koi date mili hi nai so maine Nyonika mam se request ki ko vo muje akele aane ki permission de and knwing the sweet lady tht she is,she happily allowed me..

Alya sarcastically:Oh we didn't knew tht Nyonika can actually be so sweet..bt still shlok akele iss couple party mai aane tumhe weird nai laga..i mean u could have stayed back at home na afterall in morning u were only saying tht ur nt comfortable being alone here..

Shlok looking at nandini:Actually Alya..pehle maine bhi yahi socha bt then I thought wat if I got lucky and find someone like me whose without a date so I can pair up with her na..so thinking this I came here..and by d way Nandini I jst forgot tht u were supposed to make me meet ur bf right..

Evryone turnd nervous listening this as they were frigtening from this questn only as Manik ws nt around and finally making their fears come true he did asked this only.Looking at evryone's worried faces shlok then asks.

Shlok:Wat happened guys..tumlog itne nervous kyu lag rahe ho and Nandini u did brought ur bf along with u na ..

Taking up the charge to handle the situation then Cabir speaks.

Cabir:Ofcouse shlok..nandini uske bf ke sath hi party mai aayi hai afterall it's a couple entry right..and moreover Nyonika tumhari tarah hampar itni meherban nai hai jo hame aise privilege dengi so she had to bring her bf with her bt trust me shlok u wont like to meet her bf for sure..so I dnt think its good thing for u..

Shlok smirkingly:Well frankly Cabir ur wrong coz I actually wnt to meet her bf and the rest u can leave upto me to decide whether it's good for me or not..so Nandini lets nt waste more time so say na where is ur bf..

Nandini and others were nw like hell worried thinking wat to answer wen suddenly they hear a voice from behind saying "M over here".Listening this evryone including shlok turned behind to find their very own Manik Malhotra standing behind them with his signature look on his face.Evryone feels a wave of relief washing over them by seeing Manik finally here while shlok stands there with a complete shock bt stil somehow in shock he manages to say.

Shlok:Wat..manik..tum Nandini ke vo possessive bf ho..

Listening this Manik comes walking towards them with his usual smirk and says while still walking.

Manik:No m nt his possessive bf..

Evryone gets shocked with his answer while shlok smirks bt soon his smirk goes away as manik goes and stands near Nandini and slids his arm possesivly around her waist pulling her more close to him and with a sarcastic smile says.

Manik:Actually me ie. Manik Malotra is Nandini's tht over-possessive bf. ..

Evryone were stunned by seeing Manik's this side while Nandini ws jst enjoying Manik's protectiveness around her as it ws the best feeling which evry gf wnts to relish.Bt for shlok this sight ws nt tht good jst like Cabir said.Seeing his expressionless face,Manik smirkingly asks him.

Manik: wat happen shlok..are u nt happy to see me or do u have a problem with tht .

Finally coming out of his shock shlok decides to questn them to get more convinced abt them so he asks.

Shlok:No Manik..y would I have a problem with it..its jst tht it ws a bit shocking for me as I didn't expected u to be her bf..

Manik sarcastically:Trust me shlok..there are many more things which can turn out to be more shocking for u..

Shlok:Okk...bt Manik tell me something as much as I remember aftr tht performance tht day wen I asked u both tht whether u guys have something going on between u both tht time u guys completely denied it so m jst confused hw did suddenly u both turnd a couple then.

Shlok's question were bringing out the monster hidden inside Manik bt only bcz of Nandini who ws beside him he ws able to control himself.So getting back to his self he answered him.

Manik smirkingly:Vo kya hai na shlok..till nw we were nt ready to disclose our relationship infront of everyone and ya before tht day..muje pata nai tha ke mere sirf ek bar deny karne ke vajah se some people might start getting wrong thougts for my gf..so ya finally thnx to those wat shd I say morons I had to come out openly abt us..and so see here we are standing together infront of u and trust me I cant tell u its such an amazing feeling to hold her so close to me I wonder y ws I evn hiding all these till nw..so shlok tell me dnt we make a good couple together..

Shlok with a faint smile:Ya ofcousrs evn I ws abt to say this only tht u both do make a good couple..

Manik ws enjoying seeing this defeated look on shlok's face so to increse the fun he started caressing Nandini's face gently with genuine love which ws considered by evryone as jst an act as they were enjoying the scene a lot while for Nandini it ws a bit embarasing as she never thought tht someday she would actualy be having Manik doing all this infront of everyone so she ws jst blushing bt for shlok all this ws a bit upsetting.So he further asks him.

Shlok:Seeing u both it truly looks like u guys are madly in love..and watever I heard abt u from Nandini today..well u really match her description..

Manik leaves his hold over Nandini and moves closer to shlok giving him a cold look he comes face-to-face to shlok and says.

Manik:Well..nandini ne muje tumhare bare mai bhi bohot kuch bataya bt unlike u I really hope tht u dnt match according to her description..

Shlok understands from his body language tht he is tlking abt his morning conversation with Nandini and seeing his cold looks he can easily say tht he ws indeed pissed with him for tht so he decides to apologise him before things get messy.

Shlok:Oh ya..i get it tht ur tlking abt tht morning thing right..well Manik I myself wntd to apologise to u for tht and I did tld Nandini abt it bt trust me I didn't had any wrong intensions tht time bt still if u felt offended abt it then m genuinely sry..

Manik looks straight at him and giving him his evil smirk he says.

Manik:Well its better tht u really didn't had any such intensions coz if u would have had tht then trust me u wont have liked to see the sight of me which I would have showed u then bt anyways for nw ur apology is accepted so u can relax..

Manik said the last line by giving him a sarcastic assuring smile.Evryone were completely surprised to see Manik behaving so seriously.Even shlok ws abit taken aback by Manik's reaction bt then getting a bit calmed he then asked him.

Shlok: Well thnx for tht and nw since evrything is sorted so if u dnt mind can I ask u abt ur lovestory I mean hw u guys end up together..

Fab5 gets worried seeing him asking this question as they hadnt discussed all these details with Manik-Nandini so they were worried wat would they both will answer him nw.Bt since Manik ws around,Nandini had nothing to do much as evrything ws done by Manik only.He then lookd at Nandini who ws also waiting to knw wat he wud answer so he went close to her and taking her hand in his own he then smilingly staring at her said

Manik:Ya ofcourse..since u have been so concerned abt us y would we mind to tell u tht...well actually we had a roller-coaster ride kind of relationship u knw..we turnd from enemies-to-lovers..frankly we both dnt even knw wen we fell for eachother it jst naturally happened to us and then at the musicana night we finally expressed our feelings to eachother and..

Listening more to him ws making Nandini adore his monster more as she ws getting completely mesmirized by the way Manik ws decsribing their strory to evryone.She ws so lost in his eyes tht she herself didn't knew wen she started speaking so continuing Manik's words she said

Nandini:and after tht night my very own monster Manik turned into simply my Manik who ws always there for me wenever I ws abt to fall jst like my knight in shining armour..he ws always around me wenever my fireflies shined indicating me tht he ws indeed my true love..and as for him I turned into his shining star who always had to protect him and shine for him hamesha..

Manik lgeeting equally lost in her then continued: and her mere presence jst ws enough to bring me out of the darkness as showed me the brighter side of life..and if it wsnt her then maybe I would have never knew wat love actually meant..

Evryone were left completely speechless after listening them out.Even thought they considered it all as part of their act they still couldn't stop themseves from going all awww..For them it ws like a perfect lovestory which they all had evr heard.Even shlok ws amazed with their story and by looking at both of them staring eacother with so much of love anyone could get under the impression tht it ws indeed their true lovestory so taking his step back halfheartedly he then excused himself from there by congratulating the couple which went completely unheard by them as they were still lost in their beautiful trance forgetting evryone's presence around them as the onlything which matterd to them right nw were they themselves.
