Chapter 23

After finishing their selfie session,they finish eating the cake soon.They then decide to watch a movie so Nandini choses a romantic one while Manik goes for an action one.Both disagrees on the other's choice so they start fighting over it.

Nandini:Listen..ham romantic movie hi dekhenge..

Manik:No way..i m nt gona watch it..m telling u this action one is awesome so we'll watch this only..

Both were constantly refusing to eachother so finally aftr a lot of argument they both decide to go with a third choice ie.comedy.Agreeing to tht they started watching a comedy flick with both cuddled up to eachother.Both were enjoying the movie with constant laughters and popcorn-wars in between. Manik ws trying to feed her popcorns bt Nandini ws in mischievous mood so kept throwing popcorns at him in between.Manik irritaedly says.

Manik:Nandini..didnt u had enough with this fights 2day..i mean pehle vo pillow-fight then water-fight and finally tht cake-fight and nw u wnt to start popcorn-fight or wat..

Nandini laughingly:Kya karu Manik..u remember na hamari story start hi fight se hui thi so ab to lagta hai jaise aadat hi pad gayi hai fight karne ki..u knw muje to abye fights bhi romantic lagne lagi hi..

Manik sarcastically:Accha..vaise muje aur bhi bohot tarike ke fights aate wna see tht.

Saying this he comes closer which makes Nandini go all red .He brings his face near to her and she then closes her eyes waiting for his lips to land over her soon bt to her shock Manik smirks and instead starts tickling her.Nandini starts laughing badly due to the tickling while continuosly pleasding him to stop.Finally Manik stops after seeing her panting badly due to the laughs,then Manik says.

Manik:Ab aur koi fight karni hai to bol do coz m ready..

Nandini finally getting normal:No no..itna kafi tha aaj ke liye..lets continue with the movie only.

Manik laughs listening her reply and then they continue with watching the film.Soon they both gets dozed off while watching the film and aftr constant buzzing from Manik's landline they both woked up listening to it.Manik still yawning pickd it up from the sidetable and in a sleepy voice asks who is it to which replies comes as Chachi.Listening Chachi's name Manik gets up with a jerk and Nandini who ws resting her head on his chest to gets up by sensing the sudden body movement of Manik.

Manik:Ha Chachi kya hua..

Listening Chachi's name even Nandini comes out from Manik's hold and nervously looks at him while he tlks.

Chachi:Arey beta..vo maine Nandini ke bare mai puchne ke liye call kiya..matlab time dekho 10 baj gaye hai..mai bas ye puchna chahti thi ki vo ghar kab tab aayegi vo uske Chacha puch rahe the..

Manik then checks his wrist and finds tht its indeed late and they were sleeping so comfortably from so long.Chachi calls his name and this brings Manik out of his thoughts.

Manik:Ya Chachi m thr..ha mai bas Nandini ko drop karne hi ja raha tha...dnt wry bas half an hour mai usse ghar pahuncha dunga..

Chachi:Sry beta tumhara date bigad rahi hu bt kya karu iske Chacha gharpar hai na so jyada excuse bhi nai bana payi..

Manik smiles looking at her concern:No Chachi pls dnt be sry..infact muje to aapko thnks bolna hai vo bhi badawala coz aapnai hoti to ye madam yaha ati bhi nai..so thnx a lot..and ya ab bas thode der mai usse ghar par lata hu..bye

Chachi too says bye her and then cuts the call smilingly still praising Manik's sweetness in her heart.Nandini then looks at Manik and asks wat did Chachi tld to wich Manik tells abt the whole convo with Chachi.He then asks her to lets leave nw to which Nandini agrees and they both then gets in his car and Manik starts driving.While Manik ws driving,Nandini takes her phone out of her bag and switches on it tocheck for any missed calls.As soon she turns on her phone,she starts getting several missed call and msgs alert.

Nandini:Oh god..Alya ke 10 missed calls aur 3 msgs and Dhruv ke 15 msissed calls and 5 msgs..

Listening this Manik surpringly asks:Wat..unlogo ne tumhe itne bar kyu call kiya..mera phone on tha bt still muje ek bhi bar kisi ka bhi call nai aaya aur tumhe itne tym calls kiye..accha hua jo maine tumhara phone off kar diya tha varna ye log calls kar-karke disturb karte rehte..

Nandini laughs seeing him ranting this way and then says.

Nandini:Seriusly evn I agree with u this time..and frankly I wna thnk u for making this day so memorable for me..

Manik smiles:Actually Nandini..i shd thnk u for being wit me and making this day so special for me by doing all the stupid-cute fights and especially tht yummy cake...it ws one of my best moments spent with u..

Nandini confusingly:One of the best moment matlab..aur kaunsa best tha..

Manik smirking:Actually sabse best to vo musicana night tha mere liye coz tht day I got u officially in my life and u promised to be my shining star forever...so usse jyada best moment aur mere liye kuch hohi nai sakta..

Nandini gets overwhelmed listening him and by remembering abt tht beautiful night her eyes get teary and she goes and cuddles herself into Manik.Manik smiles at her gesture and kisses over her hair.Finally they reach her home and after placing a soft kiss on his cheeks which ws like a custom for her nw she wishes him goodnight and happily goes to her home.After seeing her getting inside Manik too leaves from there.

Nandini enters inside her home and sees Chachi smilingly looking at her.She goes to her and starts to thnk her for 2day bt then her phone starts ringing.She thinks its Manik's call and evn Chachi strts teasing abt it bt thn she looks at the caller name and sees Dhruv calling her.She tells Chachi to stop teasing her as its someone else call.She excuses herself and goes aside to pick the call.

Nandini:Hi Dhruv..

Dhruv:Hey Nandini..sry itna late call kar raha hu bt kya karu bahot important hai..and maine to dinbhar try kiya tha bt phone off bata raha tha tumhara..

Nandini:No Dhruv its ok..and ya I ws a lil busy isliye phone off tha bt anyway say wats tht important thing..

Dhruv shyly:Vo actually Nandini..i ws thinking to officially propose Alya 2mrw..

Nandini gets excited:Wat.like seriously..wow thts so awesome..

Dhruv:Ya and isliye hi I needed ur help in tht coz except u I dnt have anyone else to tlk abt it..

Nandini:Ya ofcourse il help u..bt itna suddenly kyu..

Dhruv:Actually kal new year hai na so I thought tht it's the best time to start the new phase of my life with her isliye ye sab..

Nandini:Aww Dhruv ur so cute..okk so tell me the plan then..

Dhruv:Well actually u knw evry year there is a new year party at SPACE so obviously vo party kal bhi hai..and the thing abt this party is we have to bring a partner with us for entering the party..u knw like a date and tht date can be anyone..

Nandini:Okk..bt isme tumhe meri kya help chahiye..

Dhruv:Vo actually Nandini..i wnt Alya to be my date so tht I can be with her whole time and wen il get the perfect oppurtunity thn I can sneak her out and will prpose her...

Nandini:Wow Dhruv...thts so romantic..bt still I have a question I mean tum directly bhi to usse date ke liye puch sakte ho and obviously she'll happily agree too to isme meri help kyu..

Dhruv:The real problem is tht only na I mean u knw na Alya and me were never like this before so obviously agar mai khud usko as date leke jaunga sso everyone will get suspicious and all my surprise for her will get spoilt if evryone will come to knw before only..so all I wntd from u ws tht u have to help me getting her as my date without making anyone doubt abt us..

Nandini:Ohh so thts the case..well fine il do some arrangements and without making anyone doubt on u will make her ur date..

Dhruv:Thnx Nandini..sry sry..alya ne bataya tht u dnt lik listning thnx so I'l jst say tht ur the world's best frnd and m lucky to have u..

Nandini smiles:Same here..so nw bye sleep well coz we have a plan to get executed..

Dhruv wishes her too and cuts the call and then Nandini comes running to Chachi excitedly and hug her.Chachi asks abt her hapiness to which Nandini then happily tells abt Dhrulya's lovestory and hw 2mrw she is gona help them to finally get 2gether.Chachi too gets happy for them and then asks her to sleep nw as 2mwr is important for her.She then smilingly goes to her room bt before sleeping she thinks to call Alya jst to see y she calld her so many times otherwise she might feel offended.Sos she quickly calls her and Alya too picks it aftr few rings.

Nandini:Sry Alya..my phone ws off isliye ab call kiya..

Alya:Oh its okk..muje laga hi tha tht u might be busy..bt Nandini sry bt nw m feeling a bit sleepy so can we tlk 2mrw pls..i will na pick u for college and then we tlk comfortably.

Nandini:Ya okk..so il wait for u so bye.

Sayng this she cuts the call and aftr getting chngd she finally dozes off remembering abt 2day's event.In Manik's room even he ws thinking abt tht only.He then decides to call her bt then thinks nt to disturb her nw and let her sleep so evn he too falls asleep while still remembring abt 2day.

Nxt mrning,Nandini gets ready for college and quickly msgs Manik to meet at college directly as Alya is coming to pick her.Manik reads it and disheartenedly agrees and leaves for college alone.Meanwhile evn Alya comes to Nandini's place to pick her.They then gets in the car and Alya then strts filling her with all details regarding Dhruv and her while Nandini smilingly listen to her.Soon they reach college,they enter together still chitchatting and heads towards the canteen as they knew fab5 mst be there only.They almost reach near canteen bt they get stopped intrack as Shlok comes to them to tlk.

Shlok:Hey gals..early morning gossiping strtd..

Alya and Nandini both blushingly:No sir..nothng like tht..

Shlok:Nt again pls..remember tht no sir thing..

Both in unison:Sorry..

Shlok:Its okk gals..by the way Alya if u dnt mind can I speak to ur frnd alone.

Both gets surprised with this bt seeing his pleading face alya jst nods and leaves from there while Nandini jst stays there thinking wats gona happen nw.Shlok takes her to a nearby bench and asks her to sit so hesitantly Nandini sits with him.Alya reaches canteen with a shocked expression and finds evryone including Manik there discussing abt 2day's newyear party.Seeing her coming alone,Manik asks.

Manik:Hey Alya.tum akeli aayi..i thought Nandini is gona come with u..

Alya:Actually aye to sath hi the bt then tht shlok got us and then he askd me tht he wntd to tlk to Nandini alone so having nothng to say ahead I hd to leave from there.

Evryone gets curious thinking wat shlok had to tlk to Nandini alone especially Manik who ws abt to leave from there in anger.Understandig the situation Cabir speaks.

Cabir:Well guys..dnt u think ye kuch jyada weir hai..i mean usse Nandini se kya bat karni hogi..

Mukti:Ya I agree..ek kaam karte hai lets go and see na wat they are tlking abt.

Dhruv:No guys..aise kisi ki baatein sunna is not good.

Manik angriily:Shut up Dhruv..she is our frnd right so we have this right so lets go..

Saying this he angrily leaves from there while evryone gets surprised from his reaction so they jst follow him.Meanwhile shlok asks Nandini,

Shlok:So Nandini I wntd to ask tht do u have a date for tonight's party as u knw it's a couple entry..

Nandini gets startled listening this questn bt then calmly replies.

Nadini:Actually..ab tak to I didn't thought abt it so ya I dnt hav a date yet.

Shlok:Ohh..so if u dnt mind will u be my date for tonight..

Nandini gets shockd listening this and jerks off from her sit and stands looking at him wide-eyed.Meanwhile even fab5 reaches there and overhears this.Manik gets so angry tht he ws abt to go and punch him bt Cabir holds his arm nt letting him go so tht he doesn't make a scene there.He slowly whispers to him.

Cabir:No Manik...dnt do anything rightnw..pehle dekhte hai scene kya hai.and I think Nandini can handle it herself.

Manik unwillingly agrees due to evryone's presence and waits angrily looking at them.

Nandini:What..ye kya bol rahe ho aap..dnt u remember m ur student..u jst cant ask me out like this..

Shlok pacifies:Pls Nandini..dnt get me wrong..i dnt have any wrong intensions...its jst tht I'm new to tis city and dnt have any frnds to go with and moreover I heard tht anyone can be anyone's date so jst thought of u asking jst as a frnd thts it..as I dnt knw anyone else here.

Nandini gets calmed and belives tht his reason is genuine.

Nandini:I understnd tht bt u cud hav askd someone else too na why me..

Shlok:Vo actually a lot of my students have already askd me and I ws nt comfortable with them due to their silly crushes on me bt I knw u are much mature enough so I thought maybe u could help me out.

Nandini:okk..m really sry bt I cant come with u and pls dnt feel offended..

Manik feels relived seeing tht she had clearly refused him.Nandini ws abt to leave bt shlok stops her.

Shlok:Actually I think ur offended by me thtsy ur refusing me.

Nandini:No its nothing like tht and m really nt offended by u..i have my own reasons so pls dnt misundestnd me..

Shlok:If u really nt offended then y are u refusing me wen u clearly said tht u dnt have a date...tht means tht u have some wrong impression abt me..

Nandini:I said na..aisa kuch nai hai...

Shlok:Then I atleast deserve a reason right otherwise I'l always feel guilty..

Nandini doesn't wntd to make things awkward for them so decides to tell him truth .

Nandini:Fyn..il tell u the real reason..actually the thing is tht I have a boyfriend..a very possessive boyfriend.

Shlok gets taken aback by hearing it,he looks at her curiously.Fab5 also listens this and all gets completelyshocked especially Manik and Cabir.Cabir teases him.

Cabir:Lagta hai Manik..aaj to tera bhanda fut ke hi rahega..

Manik glares at him while shlok speaks to Nandini teasingly still nt convinced with her reason.

Shlok:Ohh so tum muje ab apne bf ka reason deke darana chahi ho..

Nandini:No seriously pls dnt mind bt actually my bf ws already quite upset with u regarding tht hand-kiss gesture thing and nw if he comes to knw abt this so I dnt think he'll like it at all..so pls dnt misunderstnd my refusal..

Shlok smiles:Its okk Nandini...I understnd mai to bas aise hi bol raha tha so u dnt need to feel guilty okk infact thnx coz nw evn I wont be feeling guilty too thinking tht I spoilt my image infront of u..anyway bye nw will see u in party..

He leaves from there saying this while Nandini too finally feeling relieved happily turns to go to her frnds bt gets shocked seeing evryone standing behind with equally shocked expressions.By reading their faces,she understands tht evryone hd listend her and gets worried thinkng wat to say ahead.She then looks at Manik and Cabir who were also staring at her only with a complete worried look.Nandini starts praying to her Aiyappa to save her.

I knw this one ws nt tht good so il stop here nw and will try to make nxt one better.. bt still pls let me knw if u liked it or not..
