Chapter 24

Nandini turns behind and finds Fab5 staring her with wide-eyes.She looks at Cabir and Manik and finds them looking at her too with equally clueless expressions.Nandini knew wat ws going on in their heads bt still she pretended to look normal and casually asked.

Nandini:Hi..guys

But the reply to her came with a big scream from both Mukti and Alya.

Mukti and Alya in unison:Who is it???

Nandini innocently:Who is who??

They both come to her side and then Mukti says.

Mukti:Dnt act innocent Nandini..hamne sab sunliya hai..so tell us who is ur bf..

Nandini stays staring at Manik while gals ask her this.She then starts moving ahead to avoid meeting gaze with them while evryone jst keeps following her.She in a low voice says.

Nandini:Mukti..i really dnt understand tum kya bol rahi ho..

Suddenly Alya comes and stands infront of her blocking her way and says.

Alya:Seriously Nandini..i really thought tht we are turning best frnds bt I dnt think u feel the same thtsy u hide this from us.

Nandini feels bad listening this bt she couldn't let anyone knw abt her secret so she tries convincing evryone.

Nandini:Guys..trust me I really consider u as my best frnds only and seriously aisa kuch nai hai jaisa tumlog soch rahe ho..

Mukti:Accha..aisi baat hai to tum ab uss shlok ko kya bol rahi thi abt ur bf..

Nandini:Arey vo to mai bas usse picha chudane ke liye bol rahi thi..i mean u guys saw na hw he came and askd me out..and obviously I cant accept his request..thtsy I said tht..

Dhruv:To tumne directly usse mana kyu nai kiya..ye sare reasons banane ki kya zarurat thi and tht too a bf one..

Alya and Mukti too confronted her with the same question while Nandini stayed silent listening them.Mukti then turned to Cabir and Manik who were standing aside without uttering a word jst looking at Nandini who ws looking down.

Mukti:Tum dono aise vaha kyu khade ho..cabir-Manik..dnt u guys wnt an answer from her..

Lisening to her both ManBir came out of their thoughts and jst nod their head.They both started coming to them while Cabir then turned to Manik and slowly said.

Cabir:Dude..its high time bata de sabko..dekh bichari Nandini ko kaise sab apne questns se attack kare ja rahe hai..ab aur kitna wait karega..afterall tu bhi to isme equally involved hai na..

Manik felt guilty looking at Nandini and so he decides to confess everything and nt let Nandini suffer in this situation alone.He then speaks

Manik:Listen guys..actually the thing is Nandini ka bf ..

As soon as Manik spoke evryone gaze got shifted towards him with a confused look while Cabir strted smiling thinking,"Chalo finally Manik baba ne bolna start kar hi diya bt ab dekhna ye hoga ke iske bolne ke bad baki sab kya bolenge.." bt before Manik could continue his line,Nandini cuts him by saying.

Nandini:koi nai hai..i mean Manik wntd to say tht Nandini ka bf koi nai hai..right Manik..

Manik and evryone else looks at her suddenly while she says this.Manik ws going to say something bt Nandini gestures him to stay shut as she'll handle it while Cabir thinks"Ho gaya satyanash..muje laga secret ab bas bahar ane hi wala hai bt Nandini ke vaja se ab lagta hai the secret game still continues.."

Alya:Nandini..wat is all this..jst come straight to the point na..

Nandini thens looks at Manik for the last time and then taking a deep breathe she speaks.

Nandini:Okk..so listen to me guys actually the thing is tht wen I tld him no directly then he turned quite senty listening my answr and later jab usne muje uska excuse bataya for asking me out to muje vo genuine laga and so I felt bad for him and then fir vo constantlymujse reason mangne laga and I dnt wntd to make him feel more guilty and make things awkward between us forever by sayin him real reason tht he is making me feel uncomfortable thtsy I dnt wna com..aise to situation aur messed up hojati na...i mean muje roz usse college mai face karna hai so aisi situation create kar deti to even I wont have been felt comfortable around him..thtsy I thought agar mai bf ka reason dungi to vo khud backout kar dega and wont ask me more questns and we both wud have nt felt more embarassment further and luckily my idea it actually worked...thts it..

Evryone looked convince by her explanation as the way she ws saying made evryone believe her easily due to her innocent looks.While Manik and Cabir were jst shocked thinking tht their nandu can evn make such excuses too.The gals jst came and hug her and started apologising for questning her this way.

Alya:M really sry Nandini..maine bina soche tumhe kya bol diya so pls forgive me..

Mukti:Ya Nandini even m sry muje real reason jane bina tumhe aise diresctly questn nai karna chahiye tha..

She hugged them back and consolingly said.

Nandini:Pls guys dnt feel sry..aisi situation mai to koi bhi misunderstand kar sakta hai..and since u all are actually my bestfrnds so tumhe to pura haq hai muje aise questn karneka..so nw pls no more sry and all okk..

Evryone smiled and get back to their table happily.They all started tlking normally wen dhruv says.

Dhruv:Vaise dekha jaye to mana ke shlok ka reason genuine tha and also tht he is almost of our age bt still asking u out ws bit strange..i mean I agree ke according to party rules we can bring anyone as date bt asking a student as a date ws a bit too weird..so I really think tumne accha hi kiya tht u said him no..

Nandini smiles at him while Cabir thinks,"obviously vo mana hi karegi na ofterall vo janti hai ke agar ha bolegi to hamara hulk uss shlok ko zinda kaha chodta jo vo party mai ja pata.."Mukti then suddenly says.

Mukti:Ya evn I agree with tht bt seriously Nandini the way u were telling him abt ur bf ws actually looking so real evn we belived tht so easily coz jis tarah se tum apne possessive bf ke bare mai itne calmly aur detail me bata rahi thi especially by including abt tht hand-kiss incident..seriously aisa bilkul nai lag raha tha tht tum apne imaginary bf ke bare mai bol rai ho..

Nandini and Manik startd staring eachother nervously aftr listening it while Cabir jst spilled the drink which he ws drinking.Bt then Nandini thought of something and says.

Nandini:Vo actually na Mukti..i dnt knw bt I had always this gut feeling tht jo bhi mera bf hoga na vo unfortunately kafi possessive nikalnewala hai and lifelong muje bas uske gusse ko hi sambhalte rehna padega..thtsy while tlking to shlok easily sare words mere muh se apne-aap nikalne lage I didn't had to try hard for making a story.

She said all this while mischievously smirking at Manik while he ws jst giving her angry glares.Cabir suddenly started laughing badly as he couldn't control himself anymore by listening Nandini pulling Manik's leg so openly.Seeing him laughing Manik angrily hit him with his elbow to stoph is laughs.He then stopped laughing and looked at evryone who were looking with him a strange expressions.

Mukti:Ab tuje kya hua..jo aise paglo ki tarah hasne laga..

Cabir controlling his laughter:Kuch nai yaar..nandini ki baatein sunke na muje ek joke yaad aagya tha..isliye I couldn't control myself.

He said this looking at Manik who ws fuming in anger.Dhruv asks.

Dhruv:Accha..konsa joke tell us also na..

Cabir teasingly:Chod yaar..adult joke hai..tum jaise bhole-bhale bacche uska meaning nai samaj paoge...so leave it

Mukti:Leave it dhruv..ye aur iske stupid jokes we shdnt waste time thinking abt it coz we have lots to tlk abt nw..

Cabir:Oh really..like wat..

Mukti:Like aaj ke party ke liye dates dhundna hai..

Cabir jokingly:Isme dhundna kya hai..hum log aapas mai hi ek-dusre ke dates banke jayenge aur kya..

Mukti look around and smiles:Well..actually tu sahi bol raha hai..muje to yaad hi nai raha tht nw evn Nandini is in our group so we have nw exactly 3gals for u 3boys...so wat say guys u all are okk with it na..

Manan and Dhrulya smiled thinking tht nw without making any excuse they'll get their desired partners as dates bt still they pretended to nt to show their happiness so openly and jst gave a weak smile to show their agreement.Seeing evryoe agreeing to her and Cabir's plan she continues

Mukti:Okk then nw il make the pairs so it will be Me and Manik,Cabir and Alya and finally Dhruv and Nandini...cool na..

Evryone's happiness suddenly gets washed away by listening the pairs made by Mukti and everyone in unisons screams loudly.

Evryone:Whaaat???

Mukti gets confused with their reaction and asks.

Mukti:What means what..maine to bas tumlog ke pairs hi banaye hai so for tht tumlog aise tv-serial ke bahus ki tarah reaction kyu de rahe ho..

Evryone turns dumb listening her questn as they didn't knew wat to answer her bt our Cabir being the cupid saves all of them by saying..

Cabir:Aise reactions nai denge to aur kya kare..i mean tune kya sochke ye pairs banaye hai..seriusly tu na kabhi bhulke bhi match-making ke bussiness me mat jana...

Mukti hitting him:Shut up ok..kya bakwas kiye ja raha hai..aur maine galat kya kiya..manik aur Alya ko pair nai kar sakte coz they'll feel uncomfortable and Manik aur Nandini ko to bilkul bhi pair nai kar sakte coz uska reason ham sabko pata hai..isliye I paired Dhruv with Nandini coz they are vry close frnds aur Alya ko tere sath coz vo tere sath obviously comfortable hogi to bache mai aur Manik hi na so I paired him with me..ab bata isme itna overreact karne jaisa kya hai..

Evryone were silent coz according to the current scenario which they had only created Mukti's reasoning ws sounding completely logical.They all started looking at eachother worriedly coz there plans to be eachother's date jst went down the hill.Cabir ws sad for MaNan,Manik ws sad for himself and Nandini while Nandini ws sad for both her and Manik as well as for Dhruv-Alya.Bt more than sad she ws worried coz her promise to Dhruv wud nw get broken and breaking promises was jst nt Nandini's style.She then thought for a while and got an idea for them bt then she realized tht this idea wont turn good for her and Manik bt still Nandini being the ever selfless gal she decided to put Dhrulya as her priority nw.With this thought she strted saying.

Nandini:Well guys..m okk with ur plan bt the thing is tht m nt sure whether il be able to come for this party tonight.

Evryone in unison:Why??

Nandini:Vo na actually il have to take Chachi's permission for it and m nt sure if she'll allow me or nt.

Manik gave her a What are u saying' look while others started pleading her to request Chachi to grant her permission.Agreeing to them she went aside to call Chachi.Chachi pickd the call soon.

Chachi:Hello..nandu kya hua..

Nandini:Chachi..ek problm ho gayi hai..isliye apki help chahiye..

Chachi worriedly:Hayyo rabba..kya hua bata jaldi..

Nandini:Vo Chachi aapko yaad hai maine kal apko mere frnd ki lovestory ke bare mai bataya tha and hw m gona help him in proposing her...

Chachi:Ha par aage bolna..

Nandini:Ha to vo pura plan bigad gaya..

Chachi:Arey bt kyu kya hua..

Nandini then narrates her whole Mukti's pairing conversation and her logical reasoning behind it due to which they couldn't disagree with her.

Chachi:Hayye..kitna bura hua..maine pehle hi bola tha na tuje ke jyada drama mat karo aur jaldi sabko sach batado..dekh ab unke sath mai tera aur Manik ko bhi problm aagyi..accha chal ab bata tuje isme meri kya help chahiye..

Nandini:Thnk u Chachi..accha to ab meri baat dhyan se suniye vo na mai ab sabko jake ye bolungi ke muje aapne party ke liye permission nai di hai so isliye mai sabko kuch bhi bolke convince karungi ki mere jagah Alya ko Dhruv ka partner bana de so agar unlogo ne aapko call kiya aur pucha issbare mai to aapko bhi unhe yahi bolna hai aap chahte ho ke mai newyear aaplogo ke sath celebrate karu aur sath mai extra kuch bhi reason aap apne man se bol dena coz I knw aap bohot smart ho aur unhe acche se samjhakar mana kar dijiyega..bas apko itna hi karna so aap meri help karogi na..

Chachi screaming:Bilkul nahi..

Nandini:Whatt..bt kyu abhi to aap ready thi na..pls Chachi..

Chachi:Ha ready thi kyuki mai chahti thi ke tu Manik ke sath jaye party mai bt tu to yaha kuch ulta hi plan karke baithi hai aur muje bol rahi hai mai isme teri madad karu..bilkul bhi nahi..

Nandini pleadingly:Pls Chachi man jao..i knw aap meri liye hi soch rahe ho bt is waqt Dhruv-Alya ka sath hona jyada zaruri..ye unke liye bohot special day aur maine promise kiya hai Dhruv ko mai kuch bhi karke uski help karungi aur raha sawal Manik ka to mai usse manage karlungi..

Chachi sofltly:Haye meri bacchi..tu hamesha bas dusro ke bare mai hi sochti hai apne liye kuch bhi nai..aur Manik bhi to tere sath new year manana chahta hoga akhir ye tum dono ki sath mai pehli new year hai..bichare ko kitna bura lagega aur vo mere bare mai kya sochega ke mai kitni buri hu..

Nandini:Dnt wry Chachi vo aisa kuch nai sochega..uski tension aap mat lo..bt pls ab yes bol do..

Chachi:Thik hai banale muje villain sabke samne..tere liye kya-kya karna padta hai..

Nandini:Thnk a lot Chachi..love u a lot bye..

She cut the call and making a sad face she went to her frnds. while Chachi thought tht Nandini will never think for herself so nw she will only think for her and do something.Evryone jumpd on Nandini as soon as she came to them for asking wat happn and she acting to be sad then said.

Nandini:Jiska muje darr tha vahi hua..chachi ne mana kar diya..so sry guys bt I wont be able to com tonight..

Evryone turned sad hearing it while Manik lookd at her questningly coz he couldn't belive tht her cool Chachi wud say this.Nandini then getting the oppurtunity then executed her plan.

Nandini:Guys pls dnt turn sad bcz of me..and Dhruv m really sry mere vajah se nw ul hav a problm..

Dhruv consolingly:No Nandini..its okk..u dnt need to feel bad abt it..

Nandini:No Dhruv..muje pata hai its nt okk aur muje bhi bohot bura lag raha he tumhare liye..so guys I wntd to say tht if Cabir u dnt mind can Alya be Dhruv's date for tonight coz I dnt wnt him to be alone bcz of me plus u knw him na vo khudse jake kisi aurko approach bhi nai karega and Alya ke sath he'll be more comfortable and ur so cool tum to kisike sath bhi easily gel kar sakte ho..so thtsy I thought of changing ur pair..i hope ur okk with it..

Listening this both Alya and Dhruv understood tht its all Nandini's plan to make them eachother's date. They turnd happy at first bt then they both felt bad as they realised tht bcz of them she is herself nt coming to the party.Cabir agreeing to her request says.

Cabir:Of course Nandini I'm completely okk with ur idea..i dnt have any problm with tht..

Nandini gets happy as her plan turnd successful,she then says.

Nandini:Okk so its final nw tht Dhruv wil go with Alya..i hope ur fyn with it Dhruv.

Dhruv jst nodded his head bt inside he ws feeling guilty for her.While Manik ws both angry and sad on Nandini for nt making excuse for them like she made for Dhruv.Cabir noticed Manik's sadness and again started being cupid.

Cabir:Ye sab to thik hai Nandini..bt wat abt u..i mean tumhe bhi party mai aana hoga..i cant belive ur chachi said no for newyear's party..

Nandini:I knw bt I can't com yaar and actually unhone directly no nai bola..vo maine jab party ke bare mai bola to she turnd sad and said tht she already planned to celebrate it at home and wntd me there so I dnt wntd to make her more upset so I also said okk..

Evryone felt more bad nw aftr listening it bt still they were convincing her when all of a sudden shlok came to them.Seeing him Nandini gets startled while Manik ws fuming in anger thinking abt hw he evn dared to ask Nandini as a date bt before he could shout at him he started speaking to Nandini.

Shlok:Hey guys..well sorry to disturb u bt muje Nandini se kuch kehna tha..

Evryone started looking at him curiously as aftr morning's incident nw wat he had to say to Nandini.Evn Nandini ws confuse and nervous abt it while Manik ws clenching his fist in anger and the only thing stopping him from punching him ws Cabir who ws holding his arm..Seeing evryone's faces,shlok cleared the air by saying.

Shlok:Woah guy chill..tumlog aise ghur ke muje kyu dekh rahe ho..ohh i get it nw lagta hai Nandini tumne sabko subahwali incident ke bare mai bataya hai..anyway its okk and m again sry Nandini if I offended u bt mai yaha kuch aur bolne aya tha ..

Nandini nervously:Kya..

Shlok:Vo actually Nandini jabse tumne muje tumhare bf ke bare mai bataya hai tabse I'm thinking abt it only especially abt tht hand-kiss incident ..so I ws thinking to meet him and personally aplogise to him if he felt offended abt it..so mai tumse ye kehne aya tha tht if u dnt mind aaj party mai will u make me meet ur bf as I desperatly wna see who is tht lucky guy to have u in his life and then I can even apologise also to him..

Nandini got shocked listening this and jst kept looking at Manik while he did the same.Breaking their eyelock,shlok spoke.

Shlok:Nandini..wat happn..tum kuch bol kyu nai rahi..Say na will u make me meet ur bf or not or else kahi aisa to nai ke tum mujse subah jhoot bol rahi thi and isliye kuch bol nai rahi..

Nandini stammeringly:What..no aisa kuch nai.and ya ofcourse il introduce him to u during party..

Shlok:Ohh thts great..okk then see u all at party and ya m really waiting to meet him anywas nw bye guys...

Saying this he walked off from there leaving Nandini in abig dilemma with evryone jst staring at her for to speak something.
