Well like you said this is vital for Dhruv's growth but we must not forget that this is also Alya's first in a lot of ways. She had different outlook and understanding in her previous relationship, where she never spoke about her insecurities or issues. That Alya thought relationship was all about the number of likes on their fb pic , this one is as inexperienced as anyone can be, yet her forthright honesty must be appreciated. By having a friendly banter with her ex cum friend infront of Dhruv shows how she is not hiding and has truly buried her past.

She has made a progress by opening up the channel of communication, telling Dhruv the truth and now it should be his turn to say his worries. It cannot be healthy if the whole onus be on Alya. She has taken the proverbial first step , mentioned about her past relationship and now if there is any worry or insecurity then Dhruv needs to come clean .

I wouldn't say oversensitive. I'm glad he's insecure since this will most certainly help their relationship to grow further but I don't get why Alya must be blamed for it.

Here Alya has spoken and cleared about her past with him ,even though Dhruv never mentioned his insecurities about the past. All he was worried was how she was not going public with their thing. See the difference Alya sorted his that problem , if there is anything more then Dhruv will himself have to communicate how he wants her to behave around Manik-which he has no right.

This time he needs to be tactful and talk not let this cloud his relationship because Alya has done his bit. Alya being tactful won't solve any problem infact it will enable his insecurities. If Alya is anything but normal with Manik in front of Dhruv then that doesn't auger well for her realtionship at all.
