After some time Dhruv came up with an idea and said "why don't we have a party near the pool? I'm sure it'll be fun".

Everyone agreed to the idea because they knew that this might clear their heads; especially Nandini's. Nandini arranged all the necessary arrangements. Dhrulya, Cabir and Mukti were inside the pool playing volleyball whilst Nandini just sat on the edge with her legs dangling inside the water.

Meanwhile Manik went upstairs to meet varun.

Manik: hey bhai can I talk you?

Varun: yeah of course u can Manik. But before that actually I want to thank you for yesterday for being with Nandini and supporting her.

Manik: bhai what is this? Why are you thanking me for this simple matter. Nandini is the most precious and amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I can't ever see her in pain and I can't stand her tears. Seeing a single drop of a tear falling from her eyes hurts me a million more times and breaks my heart. You know being away from her was the most unbearable thing I have ever experienced and it taught me how difficult life truly is without her. I suffered every single day without seeing her face. Every morning I woke up with the hope that i might see her today. It was excruciatingly painful for me to live knowing she was not by my side. Every breath that I took was in her name. I even forgot to smile while she was away. I tried my upmost best to find her but I couldn't. You don't know how crazy I went searching for her i left no place unturned. But when I finally found her again it was as if in that moment my life returned to me as did my reason to live.

Varun was moved by listening to Manik's words so he put his hands on Manik's shoulders.

Varun: Manik I truly believe my sister is lucky to find an amazing guy like you. I pray to God that both of you stay happy and together like this forever. [Varun smiled at Manik and Manik smiled in return] By the way what were you going to say?

Manik: oh yeah. I came to talk to you about mr Patel as u know that he's involved in everything. So I thought to ask you if you could find out about his whereabouts so that we can make sure that he doesn't find out that Nandini is back in the US. Coz as far as I know Nandini has appa's pen and if Mr Patel comes to know this he won't spare Nandini until he gets his hands on it and I'm just worried that he might try to harm Nandini.

Varun: yeah Manik. That's what I was worried about too. I'll do my best to get all the info about him as soon as possible.

Manik: bhai don't u think we should find out what exactly is in that pen. I know Nandini said its some kind of research but don't u think we should know what kind of mystery it holds?

Varun: you are right Manik. But if we get that pen from Nandini now then she will get suspicious and she might get stressed out really badly. So before that I'm gonna find out all the info about mr Patel and once we have got everything we can look into the pen. But in the mean time please just make sure that Nandini doesn't stress to much about this.

Manik assured him that he would try his best to make Nandini forget about the recent findings of their parents murder case and the pen. After taking leave from Manik and bidding him goodbye Varun left for his office.

Meanwhile, nandini came inside the house looking for Manik when he pulled her into her room and pinned her against the wall.

Nandini: Manik what are you doing? Leave me na.

Manik: No why should I leave you? U know na that I want to spend time with my girlfriend.

Nandini: Acha so now I'm ur girlfriend Mr Malhotra? [She asked him teasingly].

Manik: Miss Murthy stop teasing me. U know u mean the world to me. [Nandini smiled and looked lovingly into Maniks eyes while he did the same].

Nandini: Anyways Manik I guess we should go before fab4 realise that we are missing and she pushed him away.

Manik: but I don't feel like going.

Nandini: oh Manik. Stop being a stubborn child and come.

Manik: nope I'm not gonna move from here!

Nandini was getting annoyed with Maniks childish behaviour so she was about to playfully punch him in the stomach but Manik stopped her just in time and pulled her towards him. Nandini ended up banging into his chest and he wrapped his arms around her tightly and teasingly told her "you are not going anywhere miss murthy and besides u can't even move now" and gave her one of his breathtaking smiles. Nandini knew there was no escape from him.

Nandini: ok tell me what can I do so that you'll come downstairs with me?

Manik: that's a very good question miss murthy. U know exactly what I want right and he moved his face closer to hers and their lips were just inches apart.

Nandini knew very well what Manik wanted. She coyly smiled and then quickly kissed his cheeks and ran away near her bed and shouted to him "for that u have to catch me Manik".

Manik got irritated and he started to chase her around the room. While Manik was chasing her he accidentally knocked one of her jewellery boxes down and a beautiful locket fell down. Manik eyes widened seeing the locket but he was feeling confused at the same time.
