Overwhelming....

Manik feels the overwhelming addiction of ...Nandini. He needs her, by his side, every minute of his waking day. He just can't get enough of her, which is understandable as the guy has never had a glimpse of love in his life. Manik breathes Nandini, eats, sips, dreams, survives on Nandini. His need overwhelms all other emotions. His craving for her overshadows all other relations, be it personal or professional. Ironic, the man who left her for his friend, is the one who is now placing her above every relationship in his life...how love changes everything!! Nandini is so uncontrollably bright in his life that she overshadows everything else. She has eclipsed every facet of his life, leaving everything else immaterial. A tad too much, his obsession with Nandini??...yes!! And that is precisely what Cabir is subtly trying to point out, afraid that Manik will end up paying a very heavy price for his crazed obsession with Nandini, be it his precious Fab 5 or be it his future in music. But who is listening?? Manik's love is overwhelming to the extreme, as he is a man ruled by his passions. He has always done things to an extreme, be it friendship, loyalty, music, hate..all emotions are lived by this man. And now its...love. Without timely control, this is going to end up exploding in his face...as they say excess of everything is bad!!

The gist lies in Nandini's one simple question...you have made music all your life without me. Yes, he did but then he found you, his heart song, his soul's rhythm, the reason for his parched existence, the answer to his prayers...and now he is simply incomplete and dysfunctional without you. He doesn't know how to compose without you, as you are his composure. He can't sing without you, as you are his voice. Manik cannot make music without her cause Nandini is his melody.

Manik is being pulled in different directions...Fab 5's extreme hopes and needs attached to this album, Khurana's pressure tactics, Soha's obsessed arm twisting and above all..Nandini and everything connected with her. Back breaking...

And Nandini is dealing with her own set of demons. A girl who will always be in the eye of the storm, for her tendency to do the right thing, and say aloud the truth as it is, without mincing words. She is overwhelmed by her new relationship status. On one hand she is running scared, totally in the dark about how to handle the monster named Manik. He follows no rules, he obeys no tenants, he does what his heart says...and all his heart says is ...Nandini. He is like a virtual tsunami of passions, nothing can stand in his wake. And she has gradually realized that all her efforts to curb and control this guy are futile. She just cannot handle him or her overwhelming emotions when it comes to him. She is equally obsessed with this guy. Nandini loves him with no less fervor. Manik is the center of her universe, and there is no doubt about it. He is her rising sun and her setting moon. He is her mood of the moment, his smile brings a smile on her face, his frown, puts gloom all over. He is her quiet confidence, her will to fight, her secret weapon, her conscience and her shadow in every battle. And for a simple girl of 17, such emotions can be so overwhelming, so scary!! She feels helpless in the eye of such strong emotions, totally overpowered by the sheer force of such unfelt emotions. Nandini feels utterly out of her league...everything feels alien, simply too uncontrollable and frightening. She wants to run away from him, or get even closer to him. She wants him to stop and yet never wants him to stop. Nandini wants to hide from him, yet wants him to seek her out every second of the day. She wants him to be controlled, yet loses her equilibrium around him. She loves it when he showers her with attention and yet the very same attentiveness scares her to death. She wants him to be the guy who swept her off her feet and yet when he tries to do that, she stubbornly puts her feet more firmly down. She is totally confused, her insides chaotic and that is reflected in the mixed signals she is always giving Manik. She is too sacred to hold on tight and neither can she let go of him. She wants him as much as he wants her, yet the consequences of this very same wanting are so suffocatingly frightening!! She finds it difficult to cope with such smothering love and consequently is making life difficult for Manik too.

They are both totally out of depth here in the face of such strong passions and emotions. Love can be both a curse and a blessing, your biggest strength and your worst weakness. Whatever it is, it's never easy. And Manik and Nandini are discovering that fact with every passing minute of their conflicting days. The duo are trying to face the world on one hand and trying to make sense of their uncontrollable feelings on the other. Their love, literally pushing them towards a precipice, an abyss, a place of no return...it might be the darkest place in hell or the sweetest spot in heaven...only time will tell!!

So true..she is his fix, his daily dose of love, his necessary portion of adoration vitamins, his diet of TLC, his quota of protection..something he so needs and deserves after years of struggling with life on his own..finally he finds some relief in her form.

The overwhelming need to seek each other, that void when the other is not around, this chaos called love...

Nanidni's life was one-dimensional, about her brother, his needs. And her reason to come to Mumbai too.
