This is not the gentle breeze that warms the hot summer nights, this is the raging storm that brings the much needed respite after the hot summer months, an ocean of difference, a lifetime of unbridled, and restrained love. Adults don't how to deal with this sort of love. How can we expect teenagers to without some sort of trepidation and fear?

He lived in the hope of this feeling, he kept it away from him , away from his reality, the darkness and stared at the star because that is what love meant to him. He lived, made music but then something always was missing. For Manik , Nandini is his essence, his reality, his reason to be himself . Before her, he was just a pretend, a guy who left that Manik locked somewhere in his childhood . With her he wants to be fragile, vulnerable because she gives him that undefined strength to be himself. So when he feels like she is the last breath of his life, or without her he is nothing- it's not far from truth. There is no vexing of a poet, or the angst of the singer, this is Manik needing the Nandini just to survive as himself. Their love is his sanity.

Nandini lived a very proper, disciplined controlled life . She sought her happiness in others while hoping for hers. Yet the girl had to grow up , become responsible for her family, brother and for her living for others became easier. That doesn't mean she is epitome of selfless just that she is unaware of her own happiness. Untill now , if Manik said she messed his plans than he too changed her ordered life. Her logic , her patience , her control all goes for a toss when he is around. The balance is unhinged and she is fighting this extreme burst of emotions for this guy.

The unsaid emotion.

This all-consuming force that has hit them both has thrown rationality , control away all but has replaced them with something so powerful and so inevitable that it has changed the course of their lives.

To get their equilibrium they will need each other because they both have been exposed to this vulnerable emotion which is both powerful and yet shattering.

It is difficult for them to word because it defies all their words, their definitions and it's so new. How do you tell the other that you need him/her to survive , that this emotion they both share is what keeps them going and without each other , there doesn't seem to be a reason to live.

And to think they are still kids, to be fated to have this all consuming overwhelming emotion , it is understandable that he still doesn't feel the need to name it and that she fears it. Sooner it will explode because the restlessness to name it , explore it , together is encompassing them both .

Love- Uncontrollable. Consuming. But so irresistible that one wants to be consumed.

Neither Nandini nor Manik were every ready for this kind of intense, soul searing emotion...but then who ever is?? They have managed to defy all norms, to revolt against all logic, ...

Loved your last line...love makes you lose your identity, but then I guess unless you lose yourself you just cannot find love!!
