Its an intense passionate love, a kind of love that comes only once for you in a lifetime and yet for these two it came fast and furious when they are so young. I said this in the AT a few weeks ago, teenage love is meant to be sweet and easy, not this kind of desperate need for each other, where every second apart seems like a lifetime away.
Its hard for either of them to understand, for Manik who has always controlled every aspect of his life, the very control he has pride in, is slipping away, every second, every minute, every breath and every footstep he is away from her. Nandini is the more circumspect of the two and this love is making her reckless, making her love him in joyful reckless abandon.
This is not the gentle breeze that warms the hot summer nights, this is the raging storm that brings the much needed respite after the hot summer months, an ocean of difference, a lifetime of unbridled, and restrained love. Adults don't how to deal with this sort of love. How can we expect teenagers to without some sort of trepidation and fear?

I feel the same way...they are too young to handle such a passionate and intense relationship. This kind of love is only felt by rarest of rare and that too if they are lucky!!
And I totally agree...teenage love is puppy love...the love where everything is roses and chocolates and dates and hand holding...and here we have two who just cant breathe without the other!! A couple where one totally feels incomplete, when the other is missing. Two who constantly need to seek each other for their sanity...where their whole existence is wrapped around the presence of the other...phew!! Too much to deal with at this age (and that's an understatement)
This makes me afraid...really afraid for them!! I have a gut feeling that such love can be very destructive and they are just not mature enough to handle this complex relationship. If this were not reel but real, I would have said there could not be a happily every after or rather a happily ever after will be difficult to find!! To have love and to sustain love are two different things!!
So much in sync with your words, such love can be lethal...suffocating...and they are too young to deal with it ..
(love reading your thoughts..honestly don't know how to respond to them cause there is nothing much left to add to what you and genie share😳)

Thats the word overwhelming.

He lived in the hope of this feeling, he kept it away from him , away from his reality, the darkness and stared at the star because that is what love meant to him. He lived, made music but then something always was missing. She had heard about it , she knew it made fireflies glow , it was suppose to hurt too but then she knew truly know what it was till it happened to her.

For Manik , Nandini is his essence, his reality, his reason to be himself . Before her, he was just a pretend, a guy who left that Manik locked somewhere in his childhood . With her he wants to be fragile, vulnerable because she gives him that undefined strength to be himself. So when he feels like she is the last breath of his life, or without her he is nothing- it's not far from truth. There is no vexing of a poet, or the angst of the singer, this is Manik needing the Nandini just to survive as himself. Their love is his sanity.

Nandini lived a very proper, disciplined controlled life . She sought her happiness in others while hoping for hers. Yet the girl had to grow up , become responsible for her family, brother and for her living for others became easier. That doesn't mean she is epitome of selfless just that she is unaware of her own happiness. Untill now , if Manik said she messed his plans than he too changed her ordered life. Her logic , her patience , her control all goes for a toss when he is around. The balance is unhinged and she is fighting this extreme burst of emotions for this guy.

The unsaid emotion.

This all-consuming force that has hit them both has thrown rationality , control away all but has replaced them with something so powerful and so inevitable that it has changed the course of their lives.

To get their equilibrium they will need each other because they both have been exposed to this vulnerable emotion which is both powerful and yet shattering.

It is difficult for them to word because it defies all their words, their definitions and it's so new. How do you tell the other that you need him/her to survive , that this emotion they both share is what keeps them going and without each other , there doesn't seem to be a reason to live.

And to think they are still kids, to be fated to have this all consuming overwhelming emotion , it is understandable that he still doesn't feel the need to name it and that she fears it. Sooner it will explode because the restlessness to name it , explore it , together is encompassing them both .

Love- Uncontrollable. Consuming. But so irresistible that one wants to be consumed.

Lovely post, enjoyed the rushes of their overwhelming feelings!!

They were both incomplete without the other...just surviving not living!! In a limbo, and suddenly you meet your other half and you feel alive!!
Yes...as you so beautifully say...for Manik..Nandini is the sanity of the insane. His aggression, his anger, all his pent up fury that life had gifted him...all seeps out when her innocence steps in. He finally feels human and humane. His life made no sense...filled with deprivations and denials...filled with questions he didn't have answers for...and then she happened and he realized the reason for his existence. He cannot understand all this...all he knows..he needs her..period!!
And for Nandini...he is the wind in her sails. He is the one that teaches her that she too has wants and needs (thanks opti), he is her confidence in herself, he is her will, her power and her courage. He makes her soar, he frees her from her own imposed inhibitions, he denotes that the sky is the limit and she can reach for it, if she falls, he will always be there to catch her! He pushes and pulls and drags her till she discovers a new side of her every day. WIth him she reinvents herself. He is her spirit, her introduction to a new her.
It is indeed difficult to put these emotions in words, as you say. Such turbulence cannot be explained and neither can be understood...mere words are not enough. How in the world do you make someone understand what you yourself fail to comprehend??
Its a flame...all consuming, yet all attractive I fear this love..found at such a young age..!!
(love love your writings to the core...they take me to a different world..wish can get more of it..its never enough..thanks for a wonderful response)

Neither Nandini nor Manik were every ready for this kind of intense, soul searing emotion...but then who ever is?? They have managed to defy all norms, to revolt against all logic, ...
Loved your last line...love makes you lose your identity, but then I guess unless you lose yourself you just cannot find love!!

Haan suicidal toh hai 😆 Waise bhi yeh dono normal Kahaan hain 😉 Love and logic anyways never go hand in hand...

Yes they have managed to defy the norms and that is why this love story is of one of a kind. God bless Vikas for creating this masterpiece.

Btw where is today's post?
