Chapter 2 - Toh Baat pakki ?
Nandini was made to sit near her soon to be husband . Then the elders started to talk .
Manik looked around the room feeling bored hearing the talks of the elders that's when Nandini Chachi spoke ,
"I think the girl and boy should know each other so I think they should talk to each other than staying here with us . "
The elders agreed and Manik and Nandini were taken to the terrace . Nandini prayed inside hoping he would not agree to marry her . Yup his
good looks was a attracting factor but this was not for her . She did not want to marry now , she wanted to make her career not marry even if her soon to be husband was damn handsome .
She just waited for sometime for him to speak . He finally opened his mouth ,
"So ur called Nandu here in the house ? "
"Yes " she just replied . She waited for sometime for him to speak but he did not open his mouth instead he looked around the terrace .
"Reject me ! "She finally gave up and poured out her emotion.
"What ? "He asked confusedly .
"Yes please reject me I don wanna marry now . "
"What ? But why should I . U know what before I also thought that I would reject u . "
"Then reject me na please "she requested .
"Why should I , I will have to marry someone either u or someone else so it is good na I will accept u . I will not have to roam around and waste my time again in some other girls house. "
"God ! Why don u get it ? I do not want to marry , I want to make my career not stay at home and do household work . " she complained .
"What career do u wanna make huh ? "He asked curiously .
"I want to be singer . I want to make my music career. "She said with some sparkle in her eyes .
Manik did not answer and raced his brain's horses for a while .
"Okay "he finally replied and Nandini smiled as he did.
Aiyappa ! Thank u that he is rejecting ! , she thought as he spoke again .
"Okay I have a deal for u "
"What deal ? "She asked confused , she thought he was denying to marry with her but why deal ?
"Actually I do not want to marry but according to my fathers property will I will only get the money and the property after I marry .Naunika wants me to get married as she wants that property so I have to get married according to her wish . "
Nandini looked at him confusedly .
"Naunika ? "
"She is my mother , the one who is sitting down . "
"Oh "she said as she cleared herself . But still a question haunted her why did he call her mother with her name ? Maybe they were very close , she thought again
"But your father is alive right and what will and property and all ? "Asked Nandini again confused . This was more confusing than optional maths ! She thought as he opened his mouth to speak .
"He is not my own father , he is my stepfather . He is my uncle and Naunika married him after my father died now if u have finished your question then wanna hear my deal ? "
Nandini nodded her head in a yes .
"Okay so I don want to marry so do u , so lets get married , how's that ?"
"What ? "Nandini could not say more she was not being able to believe what he was saying ? Had he lost his mind .
"What I meant to say is we both would have to marry one day right ? So let's get married with each other . U give me my freedom and don go after me and I will help u to make your career . So deal accepted ?" He asked as he moved his hands forward waiting for her response .
