@Doc - I said it then , made a post about it and will always say , Musicana night was excellent writing . Everything made sense. Just that we are attached to these babies and seeing her cry , him standing around and not letting her go have her alone time , pissed us , but everything made sense.

That conversation was everything, Manik was heart-broken because he knew he what he had to do, he tried denying whatever he felt for her, thought if he set his mind on letting her go , it will be easy, so when Bira says- it's love, Manik refuses to listen to it, he in his heart of heart knows but he stubbornly shuts his ears because if he conceded to it being love, he won't have gone through the sacrifice and Manik Malhotra cannot live with the tag of an unfaithful friend, he couldn't do it to Dhruv and not to himself.

Whenever Bira tried cussing Nandu , Manik in his haze fought for her, snubbed, chided because it was love, he cannot have anyone disrespecting Nandini , not even his friend. It was love, that in the midst of all the emotions , her honour meant to him so much. Yet this boy tore his heart and used those harsh dirty words to break Nandu, the pain he must have felt, the self-loathe he must have experienced . Ah , such love.

Wow!! reading ur views is making me fall in love with manan again and again...

And if possible anybody...can jus write from nandu's pov...i mean the confession at musciana time from nandu's side...she actually didn't say anything...she just repeated what manik asked her to..or say she just told what he wants to listen...but i was expecting her to say something more as to y she likes him etc...coz .she being a frank outspoken girl (as i understood her to be)

Toh i personally was dissatisfied with that confession..

I loved your bits on the L word as well.

I have to understand emotions my way, I must be borderline Asperger's😆. Freud is my favourite,he was egocentric,deluded and control freak but all his psychoanalysis on sexual intimacy,love and Oedipal complex are bang on.

I like how you guys write coz it makes sense to me..abstract emotions I mean

That was all about Manik demanding/asking and Nandini giving, its a role reversal of sort..Nandini asking what she wants from him and he giving.

I still don't like Musicana as a whole, in terms of execution. Yes, it was vital to the story and much easier to watch in one sitting now, and I even get the idea about how it is a turning-point in all of their lives, hence the need to show the unending night. But they still dragged it too much, some of the MaNan scenes were just unnecessary. They were trying to recreate their entire past through parallel scenes like the accidental kiss or the break scene, but it fell flat for me somehow. I just didn't feel the angst much.

He wasn't declaring his love for her was he? He didn't mention why she is his star. He asked for the promises for her being around him forever, he told her to shine for him forever like she was doing and to keep praying for him , because he wants to be part of her life. And she agreed, because she has already made him her own. The question was asked by him, what was she to him? He told her to be his star and he agreed .

That wasn't a love confession , they are still dancing around that emotion.

Nandu wanted to tell him more , hence she brought her fireflies the other day but by then the fate played another card and we know what happened.

Hence their moment for that stage was perfect , atleast for me.
