I connected with Nandini more than Manik. I've seen many versions of Manik on Indian TV, but Nandini was a first. She definitely is a learning curve. The spunky attitude combined a highest need to always seek the best in others, it sets her apart from the rest of the characters. She is no damsel in distress and she makes it a point to show it everyone. I swear that first punch had been hooked, lined and sinker-- I was like FINALLY. It was her saying - Don't mistake my kindness for weakness. Finally a herione who won't cower and go cry in a corner, there's a thirst in her to make a difference through her own actions. She knows how to hold her front and damn well made sure other's knew it also. Her ability to be strong and fearless, yet fragile and innocent at the same time makes her an interesting combination. She has a huge heart, but that doesn't mean anyone can walk over it. And if they do her kindness is not what they will remember about her. I can see myself in her minus the punch.
I absolutely love her character.
