Ahh, so true.

Well, being a literature student, I am expected to be able to give deep meaningful explanations of every act, every scene, every age and era ... But, never have I ever been able to analyze and psychoanalyze scenes and interaction as I do with these characters. It might be because of how easy it is to relate to these characters who come off as more realistic than any other show on Indian Tele. Especially, characters like Nandu and ManBir. I relate to Cabir and Manik on a personal level, I find that I can see myself in them. Hence, I connect.Nandini and I are poles apart. Everything she does, I will do the opposite.And still, I connect with her pain, her different perspective than mine.She, I understand because she is nothing like me but her emotions are real and legit and everything about her gives me the view of another end of the argument and situations. It is refreshing because she is not in my face with her differences from me.I appreciate it instead of being annoyed. Also, the actors.😆

@MS - I think I connect with all of these characters barring few.

Nandini just gets my respect, there is so much to learn from yet she is relatable, not on a pedestal there is not one emotion which is OTT . I like how she reads people, trusts her instincts and her will to fight. She is aware, yet innocent. She is like home.

Manik - is one who I relate in terms of how we lead our leaves- in extremes. I understand his impulsiveness and it's flaws. But I feel it's how he grieves and numbs his pain that gets me. I understand when he says- "ignore".

Cabir- is love, I think he is my soul bro.

Alya - I have started feeling for her so much. She is selfish, yet selfless. She is learning, endearing and just someone I will like to be friends with.

Mukti- She is the one I will give my extra hug.

I swear...I've never been able to psychoanalyze Edgar Alan Poe's writing or Virginia Woof's or Hamlet's as much as I have MaNan and Cabir.

I think it's because in some way or the other we can relate to these characters unlike all other shows...they are very real, very us, they take rash decisions and live by it just like us.

I am not at all like nandini...I honestly can't be that sweet and selfless but I can relate to her undaunting spirit and the goody-goody image she is known for but which also hides another person who isn't as confident, or who may what to just let it all out for once.

Cabir is also a very real character and even Mukti...Manik's inner vulnerability and his need to protect others before himself is also very identifiable...and also his sometimes rash, impulsive actions when put in a tight spot...god knows how many times have I shouted off my mouth in the wrong places and said things that are quite inappropriate.😛

The rest, basically, I don't really care again...dhruv, alya, navya and harshad are very inconsistent in their characterization...i just don't get that kind of a feeling watching them. And how much ever they try to put a painful backstory at this point, right now for me harshad is pretty much irredeemable.
