"When all these things happen to a girl, uski zindagi se light chali jaati hai. She breaks into pieces. Wo kabhi waise smile hi nahin kar paegi. Wo kabhi kisi aur se pyaar nahin kar paegi..."

I desperately wish to see someone, anyone, treat Nandini as a human. Have you seen a lonelier person than her? She walks around all day as the perfect picture of shattered ruins, and no one comes to her and asks, "Hey, what's wrong with you?" She talks of love and loss with water shimmering in her eyes and defeat echoing in her voice and no one catches what the hidden meaning behind her words it. All she wants to do is cry and curse, lay the blame of someone just to take away the burden from herself, to feel light. But maturity can be a curse sometimes. Had she been anyone but Nandini, she would've so easily taken someone from the collar, shake em up and bellow, "you ruined me! You lead me astray! You, you, YOU." But that's the tragedy of Nandini..she's so aware of her own flaws to blame anyone else. When she thinks of all that happens to her, she concludes that blame lies in her because she allowed herself to be fooled like that.

When she says that she no longer has trust on herself even, that seemed like a final straw. It was her way of saying, 'I'm done.' A girl who took every step because of her trust and faith, she no longer has faith on the word trust itself. I'm glad, I'm so glad that she said this to Manik himself. With two sentences she blasted all the base of whatever they shared. They wouldn't have shared a thing, not one single moment had Nandini not sensed the light in him and placed all her faith in that light. She kept addressing the light in him, forcing him to bring it out till the point that his light was that remained in him. It had its shadows but shadows exist where light is.

I thought about it, why was she stunned to silence when Dhruv proclaimed his love for her? And then I realized, it was another blow to her. Not unlike what Manik dealt her the previous night. The night before she was left so horribly alone by someone whom she put all her faith in, today she was pushed to the brink of losing someone so special in her life. Her savior, her light in dark times. Whatever our perception of Dhruv is, whatever evidence we have about Dhruv's involvement in all the times he came to help her; the fact remains that she is unaware of all the background things that go on behind Dhruv's actions. I don't believe she'll ever consider Dhruv any less special even if she were to know that Dhruv was dictated to do the things that he did because of this sole reason that Dhruv was there for her. For her, he was there. The ones who pushed him or asked him to be there, they weren't there for her when she needed someone. It was Dhruv.

I am astounded by the way one word 'love' has the ability to break her in many ways. The love she believed in was all proved a lie for her. The love which gave her the courage to dream and leap ahead left her so broken that one night changed Nandini in all the basic ways. And here it is again, love stripping away that one friend she holds so special..the one for whom her smiles always came so free and unrestrained, someone who kept her in touch with the Nandini who flew free, back home...his one confession changed him. She can say that she only wants to be a friend but can see look at him, ever again, and ignore what his true feelings for her are? Will her smiles come free for him again? Won't the thought that her smile might give him an idea she doesn't want him to get creep in her mind, forcing her to shrink deeper in her shell. She has so much to be careful of..break apart and be careful to gather the pieces so that no one would notice them..

But you know what? Despite all this shattering and breaking, this girl won't run. She won't curse anyone. She wouldn't go to anyone and blame them. She'll stand tall. And she'll stay. The tears which are uncontrollable for her right now, so uncontrollable that they start flowing anywhere, she'll wipe them all off. It's just been a day for her. Give her some time. This girl will gulp back all the tears and put up a face which wouldn't betray anything. She's done this before, she's been doing this ever since she was 7. It's just like that for her now, once again. Deal with it, not for her own sake but for the sake of the ones she holds dear.

The thing is though, there's only so much break one can take. She's at her limits now. It's not like Nandini to give it all up just cuz she was broken beyond repair and run away. She's got too much live for. She just doesn't have anything left to smile for.

And that is what excites me in terms of the future of this girl. Can she ever be the same giggling, blushing girl going through the beauty of love? My guess is no. But if that's not what her future is, what is it? Is it right for her to be a mature woman at the tender age of 17? Or will it make sense for her to revert back to her old self after going through all this life changing breaking apart? CVs, it's my request to you, don't disappoint me. Don't give this girl such heartbreak and then act like it was nothing a kiss of true love can't heal. It's no fairytale and we all know it.

Yayyy.. I did it again.. my greatest childish joy this is.. commenting on the 1st page of your posts😳

Ummm okay, thinking cap on now.. maybe it's just me but I felt incredibly optimistic after today's episode for several reasons..
When she said to Manik "I don't trust my own judgments anymore", she sounded conflicted.. yes of course, she wanted to lash out at him (and God, that was an effective choice of words, if he knows her then she knows him too, subconsciously maybe, but she chose the most perfect way to do it) but underlying her words was her confusion, because what her rational mind was telling her, her instincts and judgment were negating.. and she could feel it.. which is why, once she looked in his eyes, she grew silent..
She thinks of him, she cries for him, she is angry with him but she does not hate him.. True, it is not her nature to hate anyone so that makes sense but then if she truly believed he were evil, she would feel disgusted by him.. the way she does Harshad, now that she has seen his real face..
Baba's memories would make her feel angry, not fill her with longing.. his touch would make her feel dirty, not give her solace.. his name would feel like a curse, not a prayer..
She wouldn't listen to him when he advised her not to trust in Nyonika, she would've been afraid to fall if she didn't expect him to catch her, she wouldn't stand there silently letting him free her foot, she wouldn't lash out at him knowing her words can still wound him, she wouldn't look up at a party expecting him to be watching her and she wouldn't bother to correct him if she didn't know he would listen..
Bottomline is, Nandini Murthy KNOWS her monster.. regardless of whatever he is saying right now, she knows the man he is.. so deep down inside for her, nothing has changed.. They still 'see' each other, they still 'hear' each other, they still 'matter' to each other, above all else..
Her hurt is mainly because she doesn't understand yet the 'why' of it all yet and that is clouding her mind, taking away her peace..
Her faith is shaken and her fireflies are lost.. but is her love really gone? Is her trust really broken? No, it is an intrinsic part of her that will relentlessly guide her to the truth.. maybe the loss of her fireflies is a good thing.. because this time when she finds her heart's desire she will to have trust her own inner voice to know that this real.. this this true.. this is forever.. and she will be a better, wiser and stronger person for it.. all her best qualities enhanced by the flames of this separation, this introspection, this deeper learning of him and herself..and her belief, when restored will be durable in a way never to shatter again..

Side note: I didn't really feel like talking about Dhruv above and disturbing the flow of it all, but I even liked the proposal.. mostly just glad it's over.. yes, she did have to console him and she might feel a slight weight of guilt on her heart, wondering whether she encouraged him but to me that is insignificant because his influence on her is insignificant.. she values him as a friend, someone who has been kind to her, but he does not effect her.. move her..his feelings will never overwhelm her and in fact the only thing his 'proposal' led to was her own silent acknowledgment of where her heart's loyalties still lay.. I doubt it will really change their equation in any way because it lacked depth in the first place.. she hardly looks at him and he hardly listens to her.. the personification of obliviousness, this 'friendship'😆

Mais, u be back...another lovely post! I always look forward to your daily analysis. 😊
Nandini has always been a headstrong girl, much too mature for her age, already shouldering a lot of responsibilities since she was very young. She has always been the protector, the caregiver, the one to take care of all the shit happening around her. Because of her sweet, unassuming nature, many people have taken advantage of her and yet nothing has deterred this girl from remaining a pillar for the others who needed her. Maybe, precisely the reason why not many people has ever asked her about herself, her likes and dislikes, her feelings and emotions...they have always expected her to be the shield for them .Manik and Nandu are similar in this regard. Both of them have hid their wants, desires, emotions to put the needs of others first. Probably the reason why both of them are so alone now. Nandini doesn't have anyone to share her grief with, to unburden herself to...the only person who would listen was Manik himself. She trusted him, he came like a burst of lightning and shook up her entire world. She began to see a lot of herself in him and they started depending on one another. But that fateful night ruined it all. She lost her reason to trust, to love , to share.

He invaded her world like no other and when he left, he left behind a wake of destruction- of her hopes, of her beliefs, of her faith and of her love.
She is broken now...completely but in spite of it all she tries to pull herself together...for her friend who needs saving, for her family, for her dreams. She cannot wallow in self-pity and grief, she needs to take charge. The tears will stop, she will regain her self-confidence and she WILL move forward.

But will she be the same again? Perhaps not!
She will be wary and jaded, her trusting self and her innocence will die aslow painful death, she will grow up but she will do it the hard way.

You said everything so I have nothing to say ...
The last part though. That is what I have been thinking about, too. If they show her going back to being the same person -- so innocent and trustful of others with so much faith in her own trusts. She is not coming back anymore. At least if they wanna show it realistically, then that is how it will be. The trust will never come back completely, small pieces will be missing.
Just copy-Pasting from AT..
But seeing from a realistic POV, How? Just how is Nandini supposed to trust Manik completely ever again like she did before -- He broke her trust a day after she confessed that she WILL always trust him ... In her place, any girl even if she gets back with the guy after he grovels, cries, grovels, cries some more, apologizing every way ever introduced and every way never ever seen and still, HOW? would you trust the guy like that again -- It is kinda tainted forever.
It will sneak up at you when you are alone or when you see someone else going through it or when you have another fight in the future, or 10 years alter when you have another big fight or when he does something stupid again and can't look in your eyes ... or acts differently because he did something he cant tell you about ... and even when it is nothing like what you are imagining, that doubt will sneak up on you ... and would you feel guilty for doubting? Maybe, but you won't be able to stop yourself.

Kaleidoscopic Nandini Moorthy.
She is a girl surrounded by lies, deceit , darkness and expectations, the only way she has survived and won is because of her inherent light- which has told her to hope, trust her judgement and be good to others - wasn't that she always prayed everyday. Lord, give me strength to be good and to others . This has been her weapon to self-protect. Her ability to never give up on people, ever.

She is ruins , taken to the heights of happiness and true love, where her hope, prayers and trust all merged to give her fate's biggest gift - her love. Yet the same blessing turned into a curse and sucked all her light, threw her to wage a war with herself and question everything she has believed.

He took her fireflies- her mother's hope. He gave her tears and the pain. Now he has stripped her of her ability to judge and trust. Slowly, he is pushing her away so that she stops fighting for herself. Yet ironically fate has made him the only one to see her unshed tears, to realize her naivety- innocence to trust things , which is what actually endears him. It is still he who get to see her falling apart and he is the only one whose touch evokes a rush of her own emotions. Because otherwise , she is just trying to numb herself and sacrifice her own sorrow, grief for the greater good of her friends.

She saw Naavya living a fool's dream, she saw the lie behind it all. She wants to save her friend, even when it can put her in harm's way. Perhaps , it's her coping, her own inherent goodness or she just cannot take to another innocent heart be stripped of the light. Hence she marches on.

Dhruv has been a friend, circumstances be damned, she has trusted his goodness- I feel , if she connects that it wasn't all his own doing, although it won't change her perspective on him but it might shatter her confidence in her own ability of judging people and trusting. She cannot be the same right? He is the friend that represented the light she hoped is still in this world. He was the symbol of fighting back and being right for her. The friend- irrespective of the past events, he is her friend from her POV. But is he? I do understand his matters of heart, but when i stand in Nandini's shoes and realize that her true friend is ignoring all the tears and all the pain , doesn't bother to ask about her, it hurts. Yet she knows Dhruv, trusts his goodness hence she is the one raising his chin, telling him that it's ok that they cannot be in a relationship , that she is sorry she cannot love him but she will be his friend forever. She will still smile for him, she will listen and always be there for him. That is Nandini- she has given him the famous Nandu promise for friendship forever once and she is living it. Doing good.

But then it snaps inside her, Manik invades her senses - him asking her for the promises, his feelings and her love for him. She cannot cut him out, she is marked . Somewhere she is still struggling understanding everything, she is questioning everything that they shared- was what she felt at that moment correct? Was there ever a truth in all that? Who is she to seek answers when her trusted light is fighting to hold on.

To make matters worse, the one person she is running away from is standing there, kneeling down rubbing her foot, letting go of the ropes that are tying her down and that is when she lets the first drops of tears fall down - the ones she has been hiding from everyone. Throwing it all on his face- her dwindling light, her inability to trust herself and finally the tears she has given. His love has cost her this. It's changing the girl he fell in love with. If earrings, bangles were physical representation of his hurt , today her stripping of her essence- her light, was an emotional high of different note .

Symbolism -he is untying her of the ropes which keeps her close to him, yet she cries. Still he doesn't understand.

They say this will change Manik, but will he be able to survive a changed Nandini ? Because it;s her heart too which is going through stomping, smashing and shattering.A part of me is excited for this Nandini, perhaps she needed this to have her own growing up .

Manik broke her heart in person, he won't just have to fix it in person but also , respect it, make her love herself enough before she can share her light again with him and this world.

For now with all the tears aside, Nandu needs hugs, a hot bath and loads of chocolates. I be her girl pal and we shall cuss her bloody monster, heart-snatcher with all our might.

Time heals every wound.
Each and every wound..trust me!!

We learn to deal with all the horrible things life throws in our way in this journey of life.
It definitely looks beyond repair at the moment but there is nothing in life that can't be repaired.
Even a broken, lost soul can mend its way back to life.

I am believer of light, hope, stars, fireflies.
I believe in everything that shines.
It gives me strength.

Same way with Nandini.
Today might be dark and gloomy for her but there is sunshine after dark night.
At this moment there is nobody to share her pain with but aren't we left solely up to ourselves at the most difficult times?
We learn to handle them our own way.
Some things we learn the difficult way and life chose to teach Nandini that not everybody who appears to be good on face is good the hard way.

It'll take time for her faith to rebuild, for her inner self to gain courage but it'll happen.
It'll surely happen.
Human nature never changes.
If a person has in his nature to trust, believe, hope sooner or later he will return to his true self.
Nobody or nothing can take it away from you.
Not even the worst things in life.

So being Nandini she will definitely shine again, believe in fireflies again and keep the love of her life in her prayers again.
It may not be Manik but who so ever it'll be she'll do it all over again.

P.S. I don't know if it made sense or not but I felt like sharing.
