I think both of them are hurt and the gravity of the situation is slowly hitting him, he is hurt that she doesnt understand and all logical reasoning has gone out of his brain.Manik has very high expectations from the people he loves, the same thing happened after that whole goon incident happened and he reacted so strongly with Dhruv and Alya. He later calmed down and understood but its like Manik is in a different place when he is all worked up.

Dhruv sees what he wants to see.

And when he can't understand something, he lightly questions his friends and when they evade it, he too pushes it all under the rug without himself thinking about it any further.

He has this idealistic concoction brewing in his head which he refuses to part from and safely locks away all the signs pointing otherwise until someone deliberately shows him the mirror.😕

Chachi is such a shipper man. I swear she'll get these two married one day, and no one will be complaining. Even Chacha liked Dhruv a bit but Chachi? Nuh-uh. The way she just pulled Nandini behind her as Dhruv entered and started scolding him. Then when Manik came and Chacha asked him questions, she just saved him like a boss and let him go to his Nandu. Ahhh <3

I agree it was condescending but that is the thing with him. he wants to put her down and blame it all on her for not understanding his lies , so that he can be in peace with his decision to let her go for Dhruv. He might also take it as a step-back for her about not trusting him , hamesha. For not reading his lies. he has been feeding her so much all the time and she has missed the cues right from the time when he first accepted the goon thing- that he is done with it. He wants to be like since you told me you trust me then where is all that when I am clearly speaking so many lies?

Now he is using her innocence and inability to understand his lie as an escape. That is twisted , deep and just messed up.

If you come to think of it from Manik's point of view, somewhere deep inside that he had this hope that she trusted him enough to see through his lie and facade. That is wishful thinking on his part, because what is the poor girl supposed to do? How can he expect her to still believe in him. But he had this hope, which was crushed and he never thought that she would think that he would lie about the breakup and that he had mixed alcohol in her drink and other incidents. It never crossed his mind that she would think that all that happened between them was a lie. This disappointed him.

The situation with Alya and Dhruv was different. His hurt came from the way they kept him in the dark and basically let him make a fool of himself. Manik goes in the situation after knowing all bits of it so that he always remains in control. Not knowing such crucial information as to who sent the goons, that threw him off guard. And add that his two most precious people were the ones who kept secrets from him...uss waqt his reaction was all justified. But here? He's the one who wanted all this to happen, wanted her enough broken that she wouldn't even spare him a single glance now. I know Manik is a gadha that way that he still seeks her after vowing to himself that he wouldn't, but that's all endearing and sweet. But blaming her and saying ke she wouldn't understand where he came from...it's something I really can't just overlook.
