The problem is Baba's perspective is skewed.. we as 3rd person viewers get to see the whole picture and can easily compare.. But Manik's POV is biased.. because for him, Dhruv is love. This is after all the one person capable of loving even a monster like him unconditionally.. So, it wouldn't even occur to him at first that what Dhruv feels might not be the real deal.. In his mind if someone as cold as him can feel he what feels for Nandu, then someone as nice as Dhruv should feel a million times greater.. so for now atleast even when he feels regret he won't act on it.. because he will think of it as self interest and try to fight that impulse.. until one day he just won't have the strength to care about consequences anymore and then the dam will break..
