And so we say goodbye to our Drunk!Nandu...these three episodes have been precious, just precious. Imma miss you girl but it's time to wake up now đ
So, after the long weekend! The episode aired! I wouldn't say that I was disappointed in it but yeah, if I compare the episode to my excitement then it kind of didn't deliver. But, that's just me. The episode was good with some really nice moments and progress in the story so it's no one's loss.
We discussed the heck out of the precap and what could possibly happen on Monday ke I wasn't really surprised at anything xD I knew that Manik would stop her from kissing him though some little part of me had started to hope for her to kiss him. If not on the lips then the cheek, or near the lips, or just anywhere on his face. But na hona tha, na hua. Khairr..ye tou hona hi tha đ As for the scene which had me restless, again. Had predicted it. Her 'I'll shine for you' was her way of coercing him to let go of his stars. So again, no surprises there.
And show, we get it. Shayad yehi hai pyaar. Pata hai mereko ke yehi pyaar hai. Now can you STOP playing this song in every scene of theirs? I can't enjoy the scenes properly because of the over-usage of the song. Dang, it's Ishq Bulava all over again!
Random gloominess aside, now for the good part.
First - hurr hurr. That lemon squeezing scene âşď¸ That was so darn sexy suggestive. I am pretty sure that time Manik ka mind must've been on the 18+ track. The way it was shot, it literally screamed of SEX!!! But the contrast though...he was all mesmerized by her and definitely feeling like a charged up teenager whereas she was all innocence in everything she did. Seeing that, I am glad that he didn't pursue anything. Gentleman!Manik won my heart. It would've been so bad to see him trying to do anything when she was in such vulnerable state plus being so naively innocent about everything.
Second - the CUTE! <3 Manik & Chachi are like my brotp! They are so darn adorable! Chachi is all impressed by Manik and he always acts so extra nice with her, never doing anything to hurt her sentiments. Agreed that while doing so he has ulterior motives aka Nandini but even so, it's really adorable to see THE Monster Manik being the sweet, innocent, ghar ka bacha with Chachi. I am really curious to know if he ate the Manchurian Pooris or not đ¤Ł
Third - the AWWW! :* I keep thinking about this quote Piyu used for Rafz birthday edit she made on MaNan. "It was love at every sight." And seeing today's episode, man. I am so making it my official tagline for MaNan. For Manik, it really is love at every sight when it comes to Nandini. He has seen all sides of hers. He has seen her broken, he has seen her strong, he has seen her shattered, he has seen her fighting, he has seen her in all her innocence, he has seen her for all she really is; and all of that has affected him. He has reached this point today, where he looks away to smile secretly at her, where he lets himself be surprised at the things she does, where he is the first thing he thinks of in the morning and he laughs so freely afterwards; he has reached here by being affected by all these sights of her and changing. Who would've thought that Manik Malhotra will do something like he did today? Forgetting everything to care for Nandini and indulging her Chachi so that she won't get in trouble. Nandini, just by being Nandini, has made pulled out the bit that Manik has keeps hidden beneath the layers. The bit where he's happy without obligations and alert at all the time. She allows him to let go for some time, something Manik hasn't done in years.
And that praying bit? God! I freakin' love Nandini! Her prayers were so sweet. To give her strength to be good, to herself and others. For all the happiness in the world to be bestowed on her family. And Manik too. How can he not love her after that?
Lastly - the story progression.
I loved the Harshad-Navya bit today mostly cuz of Harshad. He was so darn sweet, adorable, and understanding of his mistake and Navya's reaction. This guy is very sweet for the ones he cares. It's just that he is made up so much for his hatred for Fab5. And we got a major hint for that. I used to dislike Harshad being all physically close with Navya for it gave her the wrong idea, like the kiss and the hug. But I got to thinking, it's not unnatural for someone like Harshad. Not comparing but just saying ke if Manik shows his care for someone via being physical, same is the case for Harshad. And it's not like Harshad forces himself on Navya. He has sensed Navya's acceptance to that. Maybe initially he did this to tease her only as he liked the sight of blushing, blabbering Navya. But what if now he does it because he likes it?
I am guessing that Alya-Manik had a misunderstanding which caused MukShad to breakup. It makes perfect sense. It gives Harshad a valid reason to hate Fab5 like that. Maybe he used to dislike Fab5 pehle, but when they caused MukShad to break up, when Mukti chose to believe her friends than her boyfriend she still so very deeply loves, it was the final straw for Harshad. Because let's face it, they still love each other and can't find anyone else to complete them. Their unresolved issues are very deep and can't just go away. If Mukti is relying on her pills for some peace, Harshad is trying to find happiness in other girls or Navya. Though it's clear that they both are just escaping from reality. Their true peace can come only when they are together again. I think I started to ship them today. Mukti's angst gets to me man...she's on such a self-destruct mode and only Harshad can save her.
