Another awesome take on the epi Mais. This episode while random come across as a better one to me than the last one. Last one had this heaviness - the kind that follows explosions, quieter somehow. After Cabir's confession and MaNan hug, the follow up was thick with the residue of it all.
This episode however had quite a few nuggets that got me thinking. Now I am not going to talk about MaNan cuz you and others have covered it all soo well so I would rather talk about three other characters that caught my attention.
Cabir:
He scares me now. It seems that since he has gotten assurance from Manik, there's no holding him back. It was just the tiny push he had been craving for. He is getting reckless. And that spells bad things for both Raghav and himself. There's nothing more potent than blind hope and today he was daring and could have easily outed both of them had anyone been really paying attention. Don't get me wrong, I loved that RagBir were treated as a proper couple in hiding but his actions could easily land them in issues neither are quite ready to deal with just yet. He needs to continue to keep his head straight. He can't lose it just yet.
Harshad:
He's ruthlessly focused on his plan. He wants to destroy Fab5's bond come what may. But Fab5 as an entity and the people in it have merged in his head. So hell bent is he on breaking the group that he doesn't care that he might destroy and shatter the people who have nothing but the group as a support system. While I'm surprised that he didn't target Mukti who is so obviously the most vulnerable of them all, his hatred is going to force him to take steps he won't be able to retract. Outting Cabir I feel is going to shock him. He knows there is a secret but he doesn't quite grasp the impact out outting that particular secret just yet. And I have a feeling that he may regret it in the long run but it will be too little too late. Because essentially I don't think Harshad is an evil sadist who enjoys others pain, he is just manipulative and wants what he wants - without thinking through the consequences.
Dhruv:
I was genuinely pissed off with him yesterday. And here is why. He figures out that he is infatuated (or is in love, as he believes) with Nandu. And yet like always instead of seeking her out, talking to her, stealing some quiet moments with her, hell even a dance with her since it's a party - what does he do? Storm off because HE feels uncomfortable. Doesn't stay even when Alya points out he might have a chance to dance with Nandu. He lets his feelings, his emotions cloud his actions once again. Yet again he puts Nandu on the back burner, there for his taking whenever he chooses to, whenever he makes up his mind. You don't do that. You just don't do that and expect the girl to be there waiting for you for however long you need. I am almost vindictively pleased that MaNan get to share a dance. It's Dhruv's loss due to his own doings. Idiot.
And just one little note regarding the Manik-Dhruv convo. Remember how Manik always said it's the secrets that will break them, not the truth? Well now he is turning Nandini into an unspoken secret between them. Something that is going to brew over and erupt in their faces one day. And man, what an angsty road to heartache they pave.
That's it. My two-cent. Now I await today's episode. Loved the way Manik was soo intently focused on her, you could feel the intensity coming off of him in waves in that little snippet they showed of their dance. Nandu doesn't stand a chance.
