Hi LT,
No was not talking about KYPH. Now do not lock this post on me 😆 😆 (will find a way at the end to link to KYPH 😉 )

Yeah, I agree the humiliation that you felt motivated you to excel to achieve your best. And whenever you remember back to that humiliation in any situation you will always excel. The end result gave you a feeling of achievement but the path to that goal was troubled and not peaceful.

If your experience had not been one of humiliation but one which said - you have an inner potential that is much more vast than what you have shown here. I have faith in your ability. You would probably have achieved the same result of excellence and you would have been able to repeat the same experience and achieve the same result but with a peaceful heart and your self-confidence intact. So the experience I hope you take away from this is not your humiliation that made you achieve more but your potential and confidence in your potential.

True anger at situation and anger at person are linked because person creates the situation. When you stop the anger at the person than you can only have blame and perhaps no action and no peace that is the only difference.

So being angry at a-k will achieve restlessness and no peace. (know you are not angry but had to link to kyph 😆 😆 😆 )

Shree Karishna in the Gita also speaks against feeling hatred as an emotion and that does not deter him from advising Arjun to fight injustice against his brothers. That is his dharam - so dharam can be achieved without going through anger. 😃

I may not agree with LT but hats off to her guts for justice, I am glad that she'll always stand by right and is fearless too. A very cool combination and I hope you stay that way all your life except maybe go a little softer and since you are one of my favourite kids here, I'll pray for that and am sure God will take care of this gorgeous mortal.

I am less depressed now. 😃

:-) Well, I'm glad you wrote the post because I think that - as always - it has generated a lot of deep thinking, which is something I truly love about being here.

I loved the juxtapositioning of this Nitica Love line and the LooneyTunes Hate line in this posting, because if I search back in the archives, I find other times when you have switched roles!

Which brings me to my point, I guess: all of us "love" and "hate". These two - both of them! - are some of the deepest human emotions which all of us have. But these are so strong that can ever be that we can't possibly be feeling them all the time! In my humble opinion, our hearts and minds can't take them constantly upfront. So I think that when we say "love" we actually mean "romance" a lot of the time, and when we say "hate" we actually mean "anger" a lot of the time, because these are simpler and temporary! depictions of love and hate. When I do this, I find that I can live with my fellow human beingesses more easily. So I can't really think that the lady who gets so dreamy over romantic hugs and dances, can also support Capital Punishment other than it being a phrase to depict "anger".

And in all honesty, I think that is really what is going on. I don't think we _hate_ AK&KS - we dislike them; but on the flip side, I don't think we _love_ AK&KS - we like them. :-( Just MHO because I think love and hate are really tough to feel in all it's entirety. :-(

Thanks Liz, I am less distressed now. By the way, what you call my switching of roles, is not my hypocrisy, it's my attempt to be in other person's shoes and think like them...but I'll have to stop doing it or else I'll end up as an accidental hypocrite for sure. Now, I know what you think of me and am at peace.

Hey there,

Don't stop role-switching because there is no better reason to do it than for the one that you describe. If there is one thing that I've learnt so far is that there is nothing like talking/discussing points of view - all and every point of view! - with people - all and different kinds of people! - to _really_ understand an issue. Seriously, I think that you are on the right track - so you shouldn't stop.

IMHO, hypocrisy is another one of those things that cannot be understood in it's entirety, just like love and hate. If you must err, err on the side of _too_much_ role switching because I truly believe that it helps us understand (a) the issue and (b) ourself! (Now, ain't that profound??! :-) )

My most favourite book in the world (since age 10! and from which I learnt most about life, for life) has the line:

"First of all," he said, "if you can learn a simple trick, Scout, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view--"
"Sir?"
"--- until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."

Guessed which is my most favourite book in the world, since age 10? :-)

If I feel something is wrong, whether in fiction or in reality, I WILL be against it and if it is terrible enough, YES, I WILL hate it.

As E said, I would have been extremely surprised if all of us didn't react to the death of Josh in such a manner. Or if we weren't against A-K because of their unfairness.

It's not possible for me to love "beasts" or to forgive inhumane things, whether in fiction or reality. And I don't have any regrets about it. If something unfair is happening (and now I am talking about reality, not KYPH), I am not going to sit down and pretend to "love" that person simply because hatred is not a pleasant feeling.

I think it is not only important but a NECESSITY to hate untruth, to hate unfairness, to hate idiocy and to hate betrayal. To ignore all this and to accept these things, now THAT is wrong.

A-K were wrong. Their stupidity and ignorance made them break their "trust"(if they ever had any) on the one man who has always supported them. So Yes, I will hate them. Prithvi was an animal. Yes , I will hate him. And I am not wrong in doing so.

love,
LT

LT.......You said it all....... As far as hating Prithvi is concerned......I hate the scriptwriters for transforming him into such a hateable charcater.....
