hey all,

I know we all said a lot about Prithvi turning negative, and I would really hate it, 'coz he (Prithivi, the character) is or at least seems like he knows the importance of 'can't live without each other' kind of love... but seriously, in a way, why shouldn't he turn negative?

He supports Kripa in her down time, puts down everything in his power to launch her career, encourages her (agreed, not with the choicest of dialogues, but still whatever scrap the writer(s) give him), and (this part, I hate) proposes Kripa under the most weird circumstances. She (Kripa, the character), on the other hand, needs to be blamed for accepting his proposal. Geez, when she still has feelings for Angad, did she really have to accept his proposal? I doubt I would feel sympathy for Kripa, after this.
Prithvi's character is written in such a way, that I doubt there is any other alternative for him. And, now that his mother is already revealed as a negative character (courtesy setindia.com, and some forum posts here), they can be the Sony's equivalent for the Zee's 'Tumhari Disha' Vedant-Gargi.

anyways, Comments???

Prithvi negativity is not justified by an means. I agree, you should support the people you care for, but it doesnt mean you can that you can become so blind in your love that you cant tell the difference between right and wrong.

Prithvi's character does not seem to be potrayed in that manner that negativity will hinder him. Yes, any normal person would have bouts of anger in them, but Prithvi is a too practical--loyal--friendly character to have grey shades. If his character turns grey it will definitely lambast his entire character--as it is they are way too many vamps and villains in the serial already!

But that doesn't mean that he follows her 24/7, becomes her bodyguard, attaches to her like a chipkali and makes her so dependent on him that she would find herself lost if she ever had to be independent. In his "love", Prithvi is making Kripa crippled.

When love becomes obsession, only then do people turn negative. and obsession is never justified. obsession and love have a very fine line between them, but they are completely different things.

I agree 100%.

Hey Rupika,

You raised a great question whether his character is justified if he turns negative—but my sincere reply to it would be that negativity doesn't have any justifications.

I absolutely agree that he has always been Kripa's moral support through good and bad times and hence his love was very powerful to bear all the hardships. He gave her encouragement and inspiration for surviving even after all the disasters that occurred in her life. He stood by her side even when he had to choose between his parents or his dear friend—by taking Kripa's side; we established that he understood the true values of friendship. His perseverance towards helping Kripa was simply wonderful because he always cared very deeply for her—his faith in her helped Kripa recover from all the atrocities.

Prithvi's love definitely helped Kripa all along, but unfortunately for him that love is not mutual. Love also means giving without expecting anything in return. Love should be unconditional and should always be for the happiness of your beloved. Prithvi, if he truly loves Kripa, then he should only make an attempt to help her without expecting her to love him back. Love happens, but can never be forced.

Indeed love should bring more positive aspects in Prithvi's character, but lately his deeds are not so praise worthy. Once love touched Angad's soul, we saw how much he sacrificed to aid his love and retain Kripa's happiness by making himself miserable. "Nothing is lovely without love itself, and nothing is lovlier than love itself." Both Angad and Prithvi are in love with the same woman, yet both are doing two separate things for their lady love.

Prithvi claims to love Kripa and once she said yes to marry him, he instantly tried to be with her at any moment. On the other hand, Angad was in anguish and severly heartbroken—yet he only searches for Kripa's happiness and peace of mind. Whose love would you support? Angad's personality altered for the better once he realized the truth, so shouldn't we hope that Prithvi's character also turns positive? Agreed that many people around him are negative, but strength and courage are reflected when we can still retain ourselves rather than being influenced by superficialities.

Why did Prithvi suddenly blast out his anger on Angad when he saved her life? According to me, he should have been showing gratitude, but instead he spoke of Angad as interfering in their lives. "Put your heart, mind, intellect and soul even to your smallest acts. This is the secret of success." Angad in his every breath only thinks of Kripa and how to make her dream (of destroying him) take the face of reality. Even his smallest acts reflect his sincere love, where as Prithvi (as of now) believes that he is the only one who should do something for Kripa.

Love always fills one's life with immense happiness. Love brings joy to our souls and it should be cherished. Love should help Prithvi in his journey of life, but it should not give him a chance to harm or ruin anyone's life for his happiness. Angad's love strikes out because even in utter misery, his love gives him satisfaction by remembering all the precious moments he spent with his beloved.

In sum, love should heal Prithvi's heart rather than turning it into stone. In other words, he should maintain his optimism rather than being negative in future! Sorry sweetie, if I disagree with you.

Prithvi and negative...yes, he encourage Kripa, but it was Angad all the time that made her do things, by hook or crook he go Kripa to do things that she did not want to do with her singing career...he made her the star she is...

Prithvi is just a mad lover boy, who knows very well he can loose Kripa any moment...so he wants to be with her 24/7, guy get a life...stop being a poonch...
